Love your recommendations and just cannot ignore how absolutely perfect your spooky decor looks ..gorgeous!!
Thank you so much!!
O M G will you read Frankenstein already!?! It’s so deep and moving. It hurts. It’s amazing. The writing… chef’s kiss 😂
I agree, but it's important that you don't expect there to be a lot of action and thrill, because it's not really a plot-driven book. It is way more character-oriented and introspective. It is a really good book, but false expectations can ruin the reading experience, unfortunately (it happened to me and many of my classmates when we read it for school), but the discussions were so interesting
the accountability I need lmao hahahaha
@@booksandwine6245 I've heard this before!! I'll def go into the book expecting it to be more character driven 😊
@@alexandraroselyn I hope you enjoy it❤
My exact thoughts
Your channel 100% got me into booktube so thank you for that! And I've read so many of your recommendations. For September, I listened to The Graveyard Book, Small Spaces and the sequels, and I read Nerverwold Wake and am currently reading Bunny and just finished listening to For Your Own Good :-) Thank you for being you. 😀🎃
Omg I love all of these so much!!! Thank you so much for the kind words friend❤❤❤
Nettle & Bone is one of my my favorite reads of 2022! Mara is so funny and relatable and all of the characters are a pure joy to go on an adventure with! I hope you love it. Belladonna was amazing as well!
You are my favorite booktuber and I get so excited when you post a new video. I could listen to you talk about books or vlogging all day so go on ahead and tell us the 100 books you wanna read , we would love a nice long video! 🤣
I'm sure I'm not alone in this: I'm going through a tough time at the moment and one of the big joys keeping me afloat is YOU! I'm so grateful, Lexi, keep being you and awesome 💖 also spooky emoji! 🕸
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO POST ALL WEEK AHHHH 😍😍😍🎃🎃🎃
Yay!!!!❤❤❤
Oh my god your leaf sweater is so cute! 🍁
New to your channel, but I love your vibe and editing! Great recs, and I really appreciate your books mentioned portion of your description box because when I watch tbr's I open my Libby app and check out the books I can find as I watch along. 🎃
I was just waiting for a new list lexi. You are just amazing in choosing right books that sometimes give me goosebumps while reading them. Happy fall .
Omg thank you so much!!
I look to hear "Hello Spooky Friends" every day! Sometimes I go back and rewatch videos that I've already watched just to hear you say that. I think I'm getting addicted. So, this month I'm reading Dracul and loving it. Can't wait for your next vid!!! 🎃👻🧛♀️
Her cup is cuttteeee
OMG Lexi your impression of the Sanderson sisters put the biggest dumbest grin on my face 😆 Halloween came early because you are a treat!!! 🍬🖤🧡
I felt the same way haha!
It was so on point! Just awesome 😆
🎃👻🧛♂️ I'm reading Dracula right now and wow! It is so creepy and spooky and so so good. I love how it's written in the form of various journal entries and letters. It's like all these spooky rumors and people who have no idea what danger they're getting into and it's great. Highly recommend for spooky fall book.
I love the atmospheric recommendations. And the charming and whimsical books. Thank you for including books for those of us who love Spooky Season but are big chickens.
Also love Gothic stories...yes!
Thank you for this spooky review, right on time 🎃

I just read Frankenstein and highly recommend the libravox audio to go along with it! I listened to the first portion to get me into it and that really helped, it's so so good!

Very secret society MUST be your #1. It’s cerulean sea with witches. One of my all time faves for this year.

A great variety of books! I am reading Girl in White too! I love Lindsay Currie's books! Enjoy your reads!
That impression 🖤🔮🕯!
I just finished Slewfoot and it is SO GOOD. I hope you love it 🎃
Loving the mugs.....great to fill up with a hot beverage and read a spooky tale.
Thank youuu 😊
@@alexandraroselyn I am planning on going you the used book store the weekend for some good cozy mysteries. What authors do you suggest I look for?
I have SO MANY spooky books I save for October and Ben get upset when I can’t read anywhere near the 50+ books I have saved for then lol. I love this month for spooky book reading!! Some of these are definitely on my TBR too like Belladonna, These Fleeting Shadows and House of Hunger. I also plan to read Frankenstein and get intimidated each year! 👻
I noticed a few of these from your book haul video - I decided to buy The Girl in White, Ravenfall, House on Moon Creek Avenue, Halloween Grindhouse, Halloween Fiend, and This Is Halloween from your suggestions. So far I've read The Girl in White (definitely atmospheric but didn't like it too much), Halloween Fiend (definitely creepy), and Halloween Grindhouse - very excited to read the rest as well as Slewfoot. Since you seem to like gothic style fantasy/witches, I highly recommend Juniper and Thorn - love it so much!
Nettle of the bone I read and Frankenstein such good books🍁🎃🍂🍂🎃👻🍁🍁👻🎃🎃🍁🍁👻📖📖📚📚📙📖🍂🎃🍁🍃🍁👻🎃🍂🍂🍃🍁👻🎃🍃📖📖📚📙🍁🍃🍃🍁👻🎃🍂🍂👻🍁🍁🍁🍁
I always love your videos 👻
I think this is the year I need to read Rules for Vanishing! 👻🎃🦇
I did pick up Cackle and Belladonna last weekend. Can't wait to dive into these books! 🎃🍂💀👻
Thank you!👻🎃🕸
Cackle is my new favorite ❤️
I’m also trying to read Frankenstein this month!
I think the essex serpent by Sarah perry is my new fave atmospheric read! I’m reading these fleeting shadows now. 🦇
Can you please move to New England?!! You're taste in reading and your vibe is perfection for this place. Your book reccomendations make me so happy! I look forward to your book reviews and recomendations daily. Thank you for being you and please never change. Lots of love from Boston. more books please!!! also, lovexwatching your old reading vlogs, Bring them back!!!!
The Gir In White is a fabulous read. I enjoyed it ALOT!
U make me wanna read all day every day, all my life
Oh my goodness Lexi!!!! you just increased my to read list a TON!!!!!! :) thank you for the awesome videos!
Thank you so much Tressy!! 😊
Ok your Winifred was spot on! 👌
If you like The Girl in White, you'll love Lindsay Currie's Scritch Scratch!
I’ve heard that ones really good!!!
I am finally reading Frankenstein after having it on MY TRB for two years!! The first couple of pages were kind of rough for me, but then I was really drawn in.
👻 You have put a lot of good books on my radar. I am participating in a few readathons this month so those prompts, along with my borrowed library books, are guiding my reads this month.
🧛♀️ loved this most recent list of TBR!
I have seen Frankenstein on a lot of TBRs this month, which is fun. I haven't read it since highschool. I'm due for a reread!
THIS HAS TO BE THE YEAR I READ IT!! 😅
Great vlog!!😊
Thanks Myra! 😊
I really hope you get to read as many of these books as you can Lexi! I'm also gonna try to read Frankenstein this October 🎃💀🦇🕸️🕷️
Not the witch you wed sounds so cute
Yes I agree!!
🖤💀
1. I am super interested in reading Slewfoot.
2. Olivia told UA-cam that she's trying to get you to read the Veronica Speedwell series and I am absolutely in support of this idea.
yayyyy more spooky books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love ur jackolanturn mug I’ve seen that one I want the whole collection of that brand of mugs
I just made soup 😁 with my own hands and no cans involved. I guess I'm ready for a cosy spooky TBR 🦇 I'm still reading the Diviners and The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland. I read The Girl in White... Its scary!!! But also beautiful
Did I keep this so I would have a video of yours to watch at all times? Yes but also its always a perfect time for a spooky book 😅 👻
Currently reading belladonna and I am enjoying it. Its going slightly slower then I hoped but I am really enjoying it.
I wish , wish , wish we could have book of the month in UK !
I just finished the Kate Marshall book. It was good. Very atmospheric and some good twists. I hope you enjoy. I’ve got House of Hunger on hold at the library. I’m also interested in Dowry of Blood.
Love Slewfoot. Brom is a fantastic horror fantasy writer 🖤
Very secret society of irregular witches OBSESSED one of my favorites plus Hocus Pocus! 🍂👻🍁🍁🎃🍃🍂🎃🍁👻🍂📙📚📚📚🍁🍃🍂🎃👻🍁🍁👻🍂🍃🍂🎃👻🎃🍂🍁🍁📚📚🍂🍃🍂👻👻🎃🎃🍁📖📖👻👻🎃🎃📚📚📙📖📖📙🎃🍂🍂🍂
not me adding even more books to my already too long TBR for October... 😅 also Not the Witch You Wed sounds right up my alley!
I just finished The Kiss Curse (sequel to The Ex Hex) not spooky but definitely witchy Halloween vibes. Every October I read This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab (its all about monsters) to get me in the spooky fall reading mood. I have The Girl in White from my library sitting on my shelf waiting for me.
Ravenfall is perfect for automn... and Whispering Pines is another one I'd recommend, but more scary.
There are 2 Frankenstein. 1818 was the Shelly original. The 1838 is the one mostly believed to be her husband’s rewrite, the famous Mr. Shelly. I much prefer the original! It’s what Mary wanted and it’s wonderful!!
💀love your recommendations and can’t wait to read them 👻🎃
My poor friend..I feel your pain! My advice is to get Frankenstein out of the way early..😉🤣
I CANNOT wait to see your review on Thistlefoot-when I first saw it for BOTM, I totally thought of you! I’m about halfway in, and it’s one of my top five for the year, might possibly be number one.
HAPPY SPOOKY SEASON and GOOD LUCK with tomorrow!!👻🎃💀😈👹👺
Some great recs! 🧟♀️🧝♀️🧚🦹♀️🧙♀️
One of my autobuy authors is Christina Henry. And a few years ago she came out with a book called The Ghost Tree and it is the only one of hers that I own that I haven't read yet. So I hope I get to that one. I have this four by four tbr that is menat to get me to read books that I just haven't gotten to for no good reason, and after I read The Jasmine Throne, I have another four lined up. The Ghost Tree is in this, as is Horrid, the Library of the Unwritten, and House of Salt and Sorrows.
Ravenfall sounds like it's got a similar vibe to The Inn Between by Marina Cohen. Highly recommend 📖👍
yes!!!! I started society or irregular Witches and I'm loving it! I've also got Slewfoot. The cover and the art 😳❤️❤️❤️ I don't know why it gives me Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks vibes 😂
Omg Lexi!! Read Frankenstein!!! I just read it and it was so good and the writing so beautiful. I think you’ll really enjoy it 👻 🤍 🧸
My number one goal this month is to finally read "Weaveworld" by Clive Barker. I've owned it for years and have read the first third of it TWICE, but I'm making it my mission to read it cover to cover this month. I also picked up "Ravenfall" and borrowed "The Strangers" from Libby, hoping some spooky middle grades will balance out the horror 💀🎃
more witchy books pleeeeease 🙏
🕸 Such a fun list! Definitely going to try get to sone of these!
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches is the warmest, most cozy witchy book I have ever read!! I listened to the audiobook and can’t recommend it enough!!! 🧙♀️🥰 👻 🎃 🕷
