Finally, I had a chance to go into the dollar tree and do some shopping and I found the cutest things ever.
I really had nothing to look for, but I wanted to see what was there and I really love my fall stuff and my little bit of Christmas that I got even though I told myself I was not going to buy Christmas yet, I just cannot help myself. But how can you those gnomes are absolutely adorable. I could not pass them up.
I got several things for our harvest party for our youth group at church. I just need a little bit more things to go, and then I was able to pick up some afterschool snacks for Noah. My kids really love the peaches, mandarins, and pears in the juice. They’ll just open a can and just sit there with a fork and eat it so I was able to pick that up and I’m still looking for those plates to use for Thanksgiving so if you happen to go there and find them let me know because I am still out on the hunt for those.
Thank you so much for joining me on this dollar tree shopping trip, I love my scarecrow chair covers so much. I think my daughter Hailey is jealous that I have them and she’s gonna want to go and get some for her home too.

There is nothing quite like NYC during Christmas time, you will love it!! All the cute decorations and giant decor scattered about. Ive lived just outside of the city my whole life and I still never get tired of it non matter how many times I go. There’s always something new and exciting to see and do. All the touristy areas will be a little overwhelming, but they are worth it, just gotta plan the best times to go. Just take little breaks throughout the day if it’s gets to be a little too much, that helps me a lot. See as much as you can because there’s a ton! You’ll have a blast especially with your very own experienced tour guide ahaha

I think if your husband has family here in NYC, they know the ins and outs and what to see and avoid. I have lived in NYC for over 16 years and I still get in awe over bryant park during the Holiday/Christmas time ✨🎄❤️ The ice skating rinks are gonna be magical ❤ I just love strolling the streets, window shopping, looking at all the lights/sights. NYC is a beautiful place in winter ❄️☃️

Heather, I understand. There's so many options at The Dollar Tree, that it's hard what to choose! I do the Dollar tree for Christmas gifts. I never know what to choose for who! 😂❤

Sack 5th Ave always has wonderful window displays. Rockefeller center is awesome. The rocketts usually have a Christmas show. FAO Schwartz has fun toys. There are fairly good broadway shows off broadway. Matinees are usually discounted.
If you want to go to the Statue of Liberty you have to book that ahead of time!!!!
And IMHO, the city was shocking to me. Way too fast. But I did enjoy everything I saw!

I am originally from NY (not the city) but have been to the city many times. You will love it! Just have fun and let your husband's cousin show you all the must see stuff! Make sure you have down time too just enjoy also! You can't do it all so don't try. It will just stress you out! Time square really is the place to be during the Holiday and so much to see. Just walk around and have fun! Don't get suckered in by those running around in costumes offering to take your picture or have pictures done with you!! They want money and will follow you around until you give them some! "No thank you" are key words and just ignore them! Don't be scared...just firm! You will have a great time!

Find a cute patch for your sweater burn hole! They have sew on and iron on ones. If you don't want to sew or iron it on you can find permanent, washable fabric glue to glue it on!

I love the foil sheets! They’re a staple in our house have been using them forever now!
The mop, head, broom heads, duster heads etc if you look below there is broom handles that fit all of those.
I know you can a lot but I don't know if you use mason jars to stores spices or other dry goods but Dollar Tree has the acacia wood lids for the regular mouth mason jars for $1.25. Sweet deal!
Put a leaf shape patch or something on your sweater. Add a few more random ones so it’s not obvious!
I from uk and my hubby took me to New York for my 70th birthday. You need to go up the Empire State Building it’s amazing. Also Central Park. Enjoy yourself. I love your channel. Xx

Love from NYC ❤❤❤ tips: I say just explore everything during the day, don’t take pictures with the fake spider mans etc. they will charge u and be really mean to u, try flushing Queens for Asian eats, Astoria Queens for Greek eats, Jamaica queens or Brooklyn ny for …. Jamaican n carribean eats . Brooklyn n manhattan has a lot of new hip small shops that’s open up all over we the city. Authentic Italian and euro restaurants. Please research to what your taste is. In the Bronx they have a great deal of Puerto Rican, Dominican n carribean foods. As far as fun, the kids will love the roof top parties in manhattan. Across the bridge in Jersey there are very good spas . I hopes I helped some. I know it was a lot but a little. You will enjoy the many views!!! Oh And enjoy the parks, ice skating and game rooms

Please be careful. The city is not what you dream of. Masses of people ,congested roads. We went last year and it was total chaos. You couldn't move. If your doing Rockefeller center you have to buy tickets way in advance or you can't go into it. Please, please be careful and be aware of your surroundings. I do hope though you enjoy the city and the lights and windows especially Macy's and all the major stores do a fabulous job of dressing their windows up for Christmas. I love the city at Christmas time even with all the chaos ❤
From a former New Yorker. Keep money, purse etc hidden and don't look like a tourist!! It'll be fine though. Magical that time of year. Just be mindful of surroundings.

My daughter bought the whole family some of those clear trays as a joke 2 Thanksgivings back. They are actually GREAT. People fight over who got one then next year so we had to pick up more. They are great.
NYC. Remember. Lovely lake effect snow will hopefully not happen all the way on the trip. Also proper paper work if going thru Canada. Aka cut across at Port Huron do not go thru Soo. That way is long with no easy pull off aka rest areas. Toll road pass for vehicle will cut $$$ also. Have a Great Time!!!

Be sure to go to Bryant park for the Christmas village, my husband and I take the train down to grand Central Station. You also need to see the inside of Grand Central. Also , just walk past people selling stuff, don't look at them and just walk by. Just enjoy the city .

Stay away from Brooklyn, but enjoy New York . We stayed in Manhattan, and it was walking distance from time Square. There is so much to do and see . Have fun .

"O" no you can fix the sweater just cut off the burnt part and go to the fabric store with the sweater and see what they have for darning it or to resew the hole .Please watch your wallet in NY when you are in public places the pick pocket will be high on the look out for tourist. I have been to NYC in 2006 for my brother’s engagement party in Long Island . Don’t use the subway it will take all your money but we stayed in Long Island though.!

I was in NYC on a high school trip (40+ years ago). My suggestion is Radio City Music Hall where the Rockettes are at. The United Nation's building. The Empire state building.
Just got a great deal today at the local butcher meat market. 40lbs of 'chicken tenders' for $2.99/lb CDN($2.17/lb US). Looks like I will spend the weekend pressure canning chicken.

NYC is fun, but really, you have to watch out for pickpockets. They are quick and stealthy. When my boyfriend and I went last Christmas, we both had fanny packs. We wore them front more crossbody around our chest. It can get really crowded in Times Square, and they can easily slip in and grab a wallet without you even noticing. I'm only saying this because we country folks don't need to worry about these things. A friend who lives in NYC gave me the rundown of what to watch out for, and I was happy for the advice. We went and saw the 9/11 memorial, and I recommend that. Any of the hole in the wall pizza joints are nice as well!! NY is known for their pizza.

The markets in Bryant park is super cute but crowded. Rubirosa has the best pizza! And Macys is a classic tourist stop for their historic window displays. Also all the museums are great! Hope you enjoy your time here!
