How is deliberately derailing other people’s accomplishments at a university in a different country making a point. The US is only tangentially involved through the UN. There’s very little, if anything that can can be accomplished at the state level which would have an impact on geopolitics. Especially this situation which has never had a resolution to this point with actual diplomacy in play. Am I missing something?
I hope the pro Palestinians protesters know that we now feel zero sympathy for, care & respect for them than before. Tell them to go to Gaza to protest . Hamas & the like minded of Hamas need to go live in Gaza .
As a retired university professor (wife too is one), we can say that over the 53 years we taught we participated in many graduations. Today, graduations are nothing but a giant rave----little decorum, bad behavior, inappropriate attire, drunken and drug-addled graduates, and rowdy families and friends. So, what's a pro-Palestine protest? Just more diversion to take away from the moment at hand. Want a three-ring circus? Then invite some protestors in and devalue that university or college experience even more. The degree is already meaningless, so ready the side show for a final tribute to overall stupidity and boorish behavior.
