My wife ad I went to Agee RV shows last year. The cheapest ones were almost $20,000 and were garbage. You could buy one of these campers, make all of the necessary repairs and be into it for a third of the price of new one that is no way be around in forty years. Oh and by the way the dealership near me charges $180.00 a hour and has enough work on 2 and 3 year old campers to keep 5 technicians busy. I wish Ben luck with his business. F*** the haters
Lots of people freaking out about the roof....its really not that hard of a job to replace it and not pricey either....you could use white bed liner . I put a new roof on my 75 Winnebago mini class c last year and it took a weekend and about 300 bucks.....roof is 21 feet in length
I'm sure you have sold this by now. But did the cabinet above the couch, did it open up into a bed???? I'm son has bought a 1979 Scotty, looks like this one, the floor plan is the same. Plus needs allot of work done to it, because of water damage. I'm doing my part on how to restore it, etc. Any advice greatly appreciated, thank you 😊
@@benscampers1818 Why don't you do a video of your rebuilds? Show people what you do. I agree with the guy above, that thing needs a complete gut on the roof.
Nice Job ! Would of been nice to see after pictures. From what I remember 1979 -80 were the worst year Serro had for roof issues. Oh and P.T Barnum was right. @@benscampers1818

Thank you, yes in my years of doing this, some people see the potential and some just don't. No use convincing them, we'll just keep doing as high quality of work as we can and keeping these older units in service for many years. Ben

Your in lala land, the roof is gone. It’s a complete gut
False, I rebuilt it for the customer, added new vents. The front was a gut but the rest was fine. Video of that process to be posted soon.
