Call myself making a runner on the cheap and I refused to pay $25-$80+ on one that wasn't even long enough for what I need. So I bought 'em (I'm Southern 😏), get home, take 'em out of the bag, and lay 'em on the floor. I took one step, Freddy, and I almost busted my tail! I immediately went to Amazon and looked for non-slip options...didn't want to pay that much for more material or tape that may damage my floors and they didn't have the best reviews. Some of the things I saw I could have gone back to the Dollar Tree to see if they had any, but it's 'Rona season and I've been to work and the store already...so that's enough outside for today! So I turned to UA-cam and started looking for non-slip rug DIYs and came across your video. 🤗 Definitely going to try this! Now I just need to find my glue gun... 👀
No, well on Tshirt I've got glued buttons and washed it several times on delicate and regular wash and the buttons barely coming off... And it's been almost 6 years since making the hot glued button t shirt... The acrylic paint started coming off first thought. Btw ☺️
now if you own your house so that's fine it's your floor you can damage at all you want but what if you have to remove that rug if you're a renter.I have an area rug that I want to put over top of the main carpet that is in the apartment so how do I solve that problem with doing this glue stuff shaking my head
Well you wait for the glue to dry before placing the mat on the floor.... You mention placing the mat over carpet and in that case it would be better to have a sheet of mat gripper especially for carpet between the two layers.
"super cheap", "super effective" and may I add "potentially super damaging for your floor", once you unglue all this. Better to invest in a more expensive doormat. I bought mine at Walmart for 30 dollars, but hey...it doesn't move one bit and I can remove it easily by lifting it when I want to sweep underneath. None of that messy and damaging glue!

Get a can of flex seal and spray it on the back of the rug, No lumps

Mine is still holding on strong after several washes. I think it depends on the glue stick glue that you use.

For about the same price as the glue gun and glue sticks, you can buy a roll of multipurpose reusable mounting tape... just sayin'

Or you an just go buy slip proof draw inserts for the kitchen and just lay it under or even glue it on if you have a glue fetish.
