Maurice was just saying why didn't Miami use the fame of the former players to help the university, like Deion is doing for Colorado. This is all he was saying. He was really complementing them, but sometimes people are just listening to react instead of understanding what is being said.

It was stupid to make a statement like that. He doesn't know the type of relationship they have with Miami University. Sapp is going to coach for the person who is truly loyal, loves, and supports him for him. Miami does not. Miami only appreciates Sapp for what he has done athletically. Sapp is old and smart enough to know he would rather work with someone who is loyal and love him versus a place that just appreciates him and only wants to show that appreciation when it benefits them.

Therefore, the narrative must remain as it is, Sapp and Reed to Colorado with Deion. (However, the situation is). Coach Prime is an out-of-the-box thinker and this is not to castigate what Clarett said, this is only to highlight the obvious in response to what he said. Reed is saying he has not spoken with Coach Prime. And why would he! Mind your own business Mr. Clarrett!

Maurice Clarett is a very very smart brother when it comes to the understanding of the historocal business of college football and the new model with the NIL. Everything he's saying in the SM post is correct. Deion is ahead of the pack and he's just getting stronger. If Sapp got his diploma from U of Miami only to go to Colorado not contested it's a huge missed opportunity.

Ed Read is looking for head coach job therefore CU is out that's not MC's point his point is these D1 schools don't want to hire Black coaches even though it would-be to there advantage this in no way a dis to Sappp or Reed they're taking it the wrong way same as a lot of people in these comments it shows a lot of poor reading comprehen sills of anyone who took this as a negative comment towards Reed or Sapp
MC is just saying D1 schools won't even give qualified Black coaches the opportunity period !

Welp, No one has, at least not that I've witnessed or heard of, loved on their players like CP... white or black?! This is what everyone is attracted to, especially professional athletes. They can only imagine what it could've been had someone not only cared about them as young men but poured into them knowledge and wisdom to increase their success rate in life be it a continuation to football's next level or not! The doing it unapologetically = icing on top! I expect to hear a lot more from Sapp as he's not going to allow anyone to deter from the love fest happening in Boulder, not even a lil bit! Bottom line to the guys understandable question is obvious... CU gave CP the reigns, none of these other schools were going to relinquish that kind of power for him to operate at optimal levels of effectiveness nor efficiency through love and service. It is a business, a business that he's proving can flourish with deserved respect and love for these young men!

But just because you come from a particular university doesn't mean that you automatically get to coach there. Especially when others have earned those opportunities. It wouldn't be right, to tell young men to earn what they get while you would be the living embodiment of usinig your privledge and position to get what you want.

I see nothing wrong with Mr. Clarett's statement. He was really asking the University of Miami why would you not hire these two men to help the university out. Which is what Coach prime has done to make Colorado who they are as we speak. As far as Mr. Reed he is right looking at social media assuming he was going to be hired or seeking employment by UC was just put out in the air and Mr. Clarett assumed he either was seeking or UC was going to recruit him. But that's what social media does. But all in all Mr. Clarett clearly met no Ill will towards Mr.Reed Or Mr. Sapp.

Maurice Clarett should have questioned or direct his comments directly at The University of Miami. If former players seek employment address it. If your school doesn't take you serious move on to the next one. I like to use the example of Micheal Jordan. Jordan wanted to get a deal with Addidas but Nike gave him the offer. The rest is history. I rather see these former player make a honest living.

If he’s given a chance to coach with Prime the most talked about College football program which in the Nation which is on the rise! despite the bad record! And with no evidence proving he was ever offered any legit type of coaching position at Miami! Why would you speak on something you don’t know? And also coaching at that level is a career and a business decision! Who would turn down the opportunity to be a part of something great like coaching with Prime? That’s the part Clarett is missing!
