How To Make Thumb Throttle Easier Carb Spring Modification

I know I'm not the only one who's been tired of the thumb fatigue. It has been something that's really changed my kids outlook on riding. So this video is basically showing you the steps that I've used to complete this modification.

Channel Locks
14mm Box End Wrench
Phillips Head Screwdriver
Flat Head Screwdriver
MM Folding Hex Set
Wire Cutters

I would think that shortening the spring would cause the action to be stiffer, as the spring has more deformation with less turns, than it would with more turns.
Eg, if you consider the spring as a straight piece of wire, the longer the wire is, the less it twists/flexes over a specific length vs a shorter wire.
It would probably make more sense to only adjust the tension by relaxing the preload of the spring, eg how much tension it has at the closed position.
That is, skip the first part of your mod (removing coils), and just adjust the tang from "9 to 3 o'clock"

I switched to the thumb throttle for my kids because I know thay ass whould whiskey throttle 😂

Yes and she loves it! I also did the TRX90 thumb throttle upgrade. Works perfect!

Why don't you just buy a kolpin handy throttle. You just take off the grip and slide on the handy throttle and you're ready to go without changing the thumb throttle.
