Thanks for this real review. The review bombs stopped me from ordering when the steam wishlist notification popped but your review gives me hope. The beta play looked so good.

I don't listen to Steam reviews at all. I mean look at most of them, a good bit of the time the "reviews" don't even review the actual game. Just nerds complaining about the most arbitrary shit like microtransactions in a FREE game being too expensive.
I honestly didnt even notice that the game got review bombed. I tried it in the beta test (dont know if there were multiple, If so I played the first one) I personally found the game not interesting at all, it seems like a generic copy paste of game play partially even ui of all kinds of games like this. There doesnt seem to be anything unique enough to even really stand out from what I experienced, so I thought when it released and it had mixed reviews it was just people pointing that out. And I played around 5 hours of the beta so I can confidently say that I had more than enough of an insight into the game itself to confidently say this.
The only reason I clicked on this video was me expecting to see a sponsored review which seem to be VERY prevalent at the moment for all kinds of games, but you proved me wrong. You made a very good point by saying, there is nothing really wrong with the game and you had fun with it which is the two most important things with games obviously. But I still think mixed reviews are justified since it again is nothing doing the opposite, justifying its existence itself, its hard for me to actually say its worth to recommend games like this because if these kind of bromidic game play copies get too much positive traction they just inspire all kinds of devs to make these kind of unoriginal games.
Absolutely. And I don’t take sponsorships haha or partnerships. Everything is MY opinion only. And do I recommend it? No. Just like I said. If you want to try it, try it, if you hate it. Then don’t play. But it’s all about their perspective and their choices. I never say PLAY THESE GAMES OMG THE BEST EVER. I do say I highly recommend them if they are like. Super fun to me. But no one should ever base a decision to play something off of one review. Watch a bunch or just try it haha
I also will say it feels very copy paste. But. They do have time to improve :) who knows
A grid system for building is very much needed

Yeah the reviews were just crazy. They came in literally 10-15 mins after release. No one gave it a shot. But it is quite easy. I’ve made it pretty far and WILL SAY it does get a bit harder. But nothing crazy

Having fun with it so far. The stuff you said about the enemies being too easy is spot on. I’m still early game though. Difficulty is something they should be able to address, and I’m sure difficulty is going to be a huge part of the feedback they receive in the first few weeks.
Absolutely. And I think with the new seasons and stuff they can tweak enemies easily.
Who said its bad? What the fuck is that title? The people are crying over policy (and posting every stuff on social media) even the policy is the same for every live service game.
The game is and was amazing, and most of us know that since there where months and months of beta stages.
The fools on steam are trolling. And if somebody dont play that game because of that, well - not our loss as a community.

So the discord mentioned a lot of the title being bad. As well as the early comments (people said it was boring, not fun, too easy, empty and shallow, bad. , etc) which is why I titled this the way it did. The ToS stuff was purposely avoided because I was reviewing the game and devs. Not just the allegations. I didn’t want to just immediately breed fear about something I don’t know. So I gave my review based on my experience
Its fun, but damn is it WAY too easy for people who want more of a "survival" feel. Instead of loot, find blueprints, Cheese a boss, repeat.
Oh 100%. It’s very easy and the enemies are very basic. It leaves an itch rather than fully scratching it. Ya know

As a f2p game. I don't have an issue with cosmetics being behind a pay wall. At the end of the day, games arent free to make. So they need an income to maintain the game. I have played one of the beta's and now a few hours on release. It's been fun, only issue I have is not being able to remap keys. But maybe that will come one day. Oh, and they give you most armor peices in thetutorial apart from pants. come on guys. gimme pants haha

@@sethael1741 Incorrect. Tried changing interact to E. Wouldn't allow it as that was deviant power, which cannot be changed.
so your problem is, out of all keys, you cant remap one, ONE!

People review bombed for one reason I think. 6 week resets. Most people would love to keep their gear. This limits the playerbase to start imo.
@@timvanloo6 initially the review bomb was from the ToS and people not liking them (even though they are pretty standard in the industry) and then the issues with queue times early on during launch. Then it became about the resets haha even I don’t like the full reset. Take my gear and levels - let me keep my deviations I spent 75 runs in Sigma to get.
Been playing non stop, never had a server issue and it’s actually super fun 🤷🏼♂️
What I really want to know, is if what people say about the game installing two odd programs is true or not.

@@venxm243 I read two negative reviews on Steam that talked about it. One had a screenshot of it. One program was named "7" if I recall correctly and the other was a string of letters, numbers and symbols. Unless this was a hoax by OP it is definitely suspicious. I dont have the game and those two people talking about the odd programs have kept me from it.
Sure they can have my info, every other company has it already so why not lmao. But dont install shit on my machine without asking me first. I'll see if I can find the reviews again.

The game is great. It plays like so many of my favorite games while giving a sci fi feel. There is literally nothing about the game i dont like, hell even the over priced cosmetics are better than other games. I actually am not sure how people review this game as bad. To review thia game as bad they would have to be a special kind of stupid and its 2024 so its very feasible.
It's fun and free. I'd rather play this than my usual games.

Honestly this is just a great filler game. I was bored at first then weirdly kind of just having a chill time. But nothing out right now seems interesting. So this is my chill and vibe game. Listen to music or a book and just relax.

Eh...I played the demo a few weeks ago. There was a lot I liked about it. It certainly borrows heavily from other titles which isn't a bad thing. As a former Division player, I enjoyed the division-esqe gameplay/combat style. Movement and gunplay felt good. The open world, from the little I saw, seemed interesting enough. Was quite impressed with the crafting system - easy to use but deep enough to not be overly simple. The looting appeared fine, fairly regularly I was picking up gear that was actually useable in my level. Not every time but enough to keep me satisfied. I didn't really notice any performance issues. I got into servers, the game ran pretty smooth...it seemed decently optimized.
Wasn't a fan of the overly simplistic questing, the enemies seemed quite repetitive after the first couple hours, and seeing the starting area polluted with a bagillion player structures on top of each other really killed any immersion. But I have a feeling, a lot of that will change over the first year if the game does well.
Personally, I don't harbor the hate for F2P titles that others do, at times...I enjoy them for what they are: relatively simple and cheap entertainment. Yes, they are designed to keep you playing, yes they are designed to convince you to dump money into them. But, so what? Every game and all it's marketing is designed to get you to spend money on it. Its not as though they are encroaching on single player titles or other games with more quality behind them. On the contrary, I would say their existence has only served to drive more innovation in the single player/non-live service genre.
If you are someone who liked the Division and enjoy the open world/survival/looter shooter genre...you will probably like this game....at least for a while.

Most of the bad reviews I saw ,the concern is privacy issue. What they collect and stuff. Most of them are saying that this game has spyware.
So they addressed that just a bit ago actually - it’s on twitter or X on a HUGE post.
@@venxm243 I get it now thank you so much for the heads-up. This is the main reason I did not play this game. I just really hope that there is no Pay to Win system but knowing that this is Netease .. I'm kinda scared to try again.

not everything is a "review bomb" sometimes its players actually not liking the game. i have not played it yet waiting for more information, F2P with no P2W in a PVP setting, cant say im surprised people are sceptical of this game... were all just waiting for the catch, if its not MTX it usually them putting stuff on your pc to get information to sell. from what i have seen 90% of the negative reviews are about there ToS and programs installed onto pc that run with the game. already suspicious players wont see this well. i have not looked into it enough yet to see if its nefarious or legit.
So a lot of the initial reviews about the actual gameplay being bad aren’t on the front page anymore. And even in the discord people giving these negative reviews were telling others to also “review bomb” hence my language there

sorry but the 1st hour is very important if u market a game as survival it should be hard like elden ring the name is there dont blame ppl for a bad take since the game have a very bad start
No one blamed anyone. But. Survival isn’t what makes Elden Ring hard. Survival is an entirely separate genre from a souls like game. Survival can be a game like Enshrouded, where you have to eat / drink water / maintain stamina. But Elden Ring is not a survival game. It’s a souls like RPG. We can’t compare two very different genres here.
I agree that marketing for most games could be better, and the game had a VERY VERY rough start. This video is just my personal opinion on the title. And while I had a bit of fun, others thought it sucked haha we all have opinions and they are all just as valid as anyone else’s 🥰🖤
Alot of the bad feedback too is it hasn't got controller support when it should of had at launch but the game looks sweet

The game also has no content, after like lv 25 its just rinse and repeat with the same 3 mobs over and over.

Yeah as the comment below states they do mention new seasons, and they also released a better idea of how seasons works since people were confused - but it does get a bit repetitive I agree. I think it has potential though
Yeah it has cute gameplay. But you left the part that it installs 2 spyware software on your computer.
So this is something they discussed in detail on twitter. I read the TOS. But if you have ever played a Riot game like League, remember that they have actual Kernel level access to your PC. So the ToS for Once Human is nothing if you compare it to the access riot games and even Valorant has.

I didn’t enjoy the first decedent at all - I quit right after the tutorial. But it also isn’t a genre I have ever really enjoyed. But. I don’t understand the hype behind it. It’s like Gears of War and Destiny tried to have a baby but it fell a bit short.
a lot of the praise comes from the neuron activated gooners lol although its the only game similar to warframe rn

This is a bland mobile game with janky controls and shitty optimization, total waste.
It 100% can be better. As I said. There are ALOT of changes that can be made. But it’s still decently fun compared to playing the same games I’ve played for years over and over. It’s a nice break

The game does feel a bit bland and empty at points. 100%. But it’s a bit of a break from the “norm” games I play.
