I've just received mine and blown away by the quality and effort put into these. And little monk himself was extremely helpful and friendly in going through the purchase steps. This set has completely opened up this game in more ways than we can believe. If it wasn't for this video I probably would have never known about it lol great works dude!!!
This is a terrific set of cards and a real tribute to all the work LM has put into this game. As a fan project it's stunning. A few gaps remain and it won't be a surprise to see him issue a follow up with more dungeon cards, specials, events etc to round out his custom adventures... All told pretty cool.

There's so much to WHQ! Would you recommend just starting with the base game or do you think there are particular expansions (whether official, white dwarf or little monk or whatever else) that are a benefit to include on your first experience with the game?
Just print base game and start with it. Maybe if you are going to play with roleplaybook you want to have printed treasure cards instead of just text in roleplaybook. But its an option, so there is a lots of stuff in base game ;). Everything you need is on FB group in file section.
I think there is enough in the base game to last a bit, especially with the role play book, and especially if you have minis / standees around you can use as proxies for the monsters in the bestiary.
Could you see making a beginner's guide? With so many books and add-ons, it would be nice to know what a beginner could skip-ahead to. Or would you suggest just starting with the original content and going from there?

Question for you- I always liked the Castlevania video game series from way back and always wondered if there is any kind of dungeon crawler board game in the style of HQ/WHQ with a Castlevania/vampire hunting theme that was ever produced? I figured if anyone would know, that you might! Also the same question for a Viking-themed exploration game with minis- any thoughts as to any options out there that might match up with that interest? Thanks so much in advance!
Hey thanks! For a Castlevania vibe, I would look into Folklore: The Affliction, Warhammer Quest: Cursed City (if it ever comes back into print), Darkest Night, and the newest version of Hexplore It, which hasn't shipped yet (can probably still be pre-ordered via the crowdfunding campaign).
If there is enough interest, i will try to do a 3rd print run! I'm technically not selling these. I'm just having them printed for those who wish a copy. You're only paying for the printing and shipping. Contact me if you want to be put on a waiting list.

As far as the treasure cards go, GW had originally planned for 6 Treasure Expansion packs of 54 cards each. They released 1,2, and 3 and i created 4, 5 and 6 (54 of the cards come from the Roleplay Book, so i basically created ~108)!
I hope you will let me know when these come out and send me a private message so I can get these cards or let me know how I can make them myself please.

I think there is a new SOB set that is Viking themed, but I'm not sure. I'm not really into the theme, so I don't follow it. :)
