Thank you so much :) For MMI stations that are "conversations" how long would you recommend keeping your answers (using the framework provided)? The station is 5 min long and involves follow-up questions
I wouldn't say there's necessarily a perfect time - whatever feels comfortable! Some questions vary in how much detail to go into, but general rule of thumb, my answer usually included a quick recap of question, my stance, a little bit about the other stance, a story/experience of mine that relates to the question, and a summary sentence. I usually finished with enough time for 1 follow-up question and my answer. Take the time you need to speak, but don't push yourself to fill time if it doesn't flow organically!
Hi Sydney, thanks for such a helpful video with specific resources! I know you're doing a interview series, but I was wondering if it is possible you could do a video with interview basic tips such as possible questions, best way to conduct oneself (personable vs professional), how much time you should take to answer questions, etc.? Also, I understand there are safety concerns, so if its safe, could you do a general video about your stats and what schools you got interviews, acceptances, and waitlist? Thank you again!! I'm writing secondaries rn and your videos been very helpful!
Hi Amar! I actually already finished filming the interview series 😅 but I can definitely pin links to other helpful vids soon. I included a link for possible questions in the description or here too (www.prospectivedoctor.com/must-know-medical-school-interview-questions/)! I have a vid along the lines of that potentially in the works and talked generally about my application cycle in this vid (ua-cam.com/video/QGuZ7rXHM0Q/v-deo.html). Timestamp starting at 6:59! I hope that helps :-)
