Love all the balloon goodies! The balloon background is quite unique. The balloon die has such amazing detail! I think you incorporated them both very well!!
I love these cards. They certainly make you want to smile. One of the reasons I watch your videos. That was a great trick to cut the balloon bouquet and overlap it so that you could still use it and see more of your shaker. I probably wouldn't have thought of that and started over. But when you are elderly you don't always think of those things. Thanks so much for all you teach us.

Great cards and FABULOUS timing. Although I’d LOVE that background - I have so many different techniques I’d like to try with it - I can’t mail order anything right now, I’m moving across town soon.
BUT right now I’m making scrapbook albums for two kids, aged 5 and 2, whose mother is seriously ill. Apparently she’s trying to work on a memory album with her 5yo but has only managed a few pages in a notebook. I’m making albums for them to add their photos and notes later. But right now I’m rushing inserts. These are like double pages, as flat as can be, that will slide inside the leaves/pages of the albums (they act as pockets). The reason for this is so the mum can work with the kids and it’s not just a blank page, it’s pretty, they can write memories etc. And when I’ve finished the actual album-books they can go inside.
I have 5 slots for these pocket-leaves so 5 to 10 themes, depending on whether I use the same theme for a double page spread.
So far I’ve chosen (but not created) themes of birthday, Christmas, fairy village (the family built one over years during covid), and a couple of other ideas.
Your cards have given me ideas for the birthday inserts and birthday layouts! I don’t have that gorgeous background but I do have a few balloon dies and I have a balloon and I think a confetti stencil. Plus I have bling! I can do a pale wash of rainbow or a rainbow-style ink smooshing background, stencil balloons and possibly confetti around the outside, perhaps spritz with water for that watercolour look, brighten with copies… It won’t be quick. The inserts are 10” x 15” (folded in half so the pages are 10” x 7.5”). I can leave the bulk of the page with a pale wash of colour, bright balloons around the outside and down the gutter. Then they can add photos and notes. I think that’s lovely!
And, if that’s really successful, I might do something similar for the Christmas insert using ornament stencils and/or a background stamp with ornaments.
Personally I love dies but these inserts need to be pretty flat so, with the photos they don’t add too much bulk.
The album pages though, that will be different. I have allowed room for added layers. I just wish I could get that kit in time! International mail sucks, lol.

The liquid watercolours don’t seem to have the vivid colours that regular watercolours from a tube or pans have. They needed a lot of enhancing with the Copic markers. Lovely cards, despite the challenges.
