Wow! Love this Video. Very good information. I have a co-worker who moved to Guadalajara after he retired. He loves it. I had gone to visit him back in the fall of 2022. His house is in a beautiful area with lots of Greenery. The houses and the pools are extremely out of this world. My complements to the Builders and the Landscapers out there. Oh! and pool designers also. I like there is Costco out there. Maybe when I retire it will be my turn to move. to Guadalajara.

I love your video. So well focused. After spending months researching Mexico and other countries online I find myself coming back over and over again to choosing Guadalajara, and specifically Colonial Americana/Monraz/Providencia.....my second choice is Queretaro (Juriquillia). It's one or the other.

Great video. Im half Mexican (born in el DF) and half Puertorican so I have dual American/Mexican citizenship. I’m also a registered nurse in Atlanta and once my daughter finishes college (3 years) I plan on semi-retiring early to Guadalajara. I plan on living in an apartment in the city. I’m seriously considering buying an apartment in GDL since they are currently having a construction boom of high rise apartments. My dad already retired to GDL and since I helped him get established I’m very familiar with the cost of living. Your calculations are spot on. I figure I can work 3 month travel contracts in the US and then go hangout for 3 months in GDL…rinse and repeat 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m from Mexico 🇲🇽 But I Been born in USA Chicago IL I’m Mexican American 🇲🇽🇺🇸 but I Really interested to move back to Mexico In the state of Jalisco either Guadalajara or Los Altos de Jalisco but there’s a lot of parts in Mexico that I would love to move to Mexico 🇲🇽 is really nice country I’m proud to be Mexican

Thanks for the information, I was born in Guadalajara, living there is cheaper than Usa,, but the salaries are lower, and opportunities of a Job is difficult, once you turned 40 45 years old, and if you have your own business as well you have to deal with many things, but definitely Guadalajara la perla.tapatia is soo beautiful,. @@azfo123Guadalajara Sur es una zona en crecimiento, actualmente experimenta algunas dificultades de movilidad debido a ese crecimiento, pero ya hay planes para mejorar eso, como ampliación de caminos, una nueva línea de tren ligero (Metro), y muchas opciones de centros comerciales y fraccionamientos de vivienda media - alta. Guadalajara, Sur, Zapopan Norte, Providencia, Chapalita, Colonia Americana, Country Club, son excelentes opciones para vivir. Puedes revisar la Plataformas Inmuebles24 o Casasyterrenos para ver distintas opciones online.

back in 2012 i was sent by my boss to go and get a flu shot. while i was there, the doctor asked me if i smoked and i said yes. he then told me that i should quit. when i received my bill i found that i was being charged $30.00 for a smoking cessation program. i didnt pay it....
I know.. At one of my past employers, smokers would get charged an additional $50/month for medical insurance. Never understood why that specific addiction got singled out tbh
I don't speak much Spanish . I am definitely willing to learn but it will take four or five years to become proficient. I really like Guadalajara but was wondering if I could get by the first year or two without being fluent in Spanish?
Hi! You’ll be fine, I wouldn’t worry so much about it. And the more time you spend in Mexico, the faster you’ll pick up the language. But definitely don’t let it hold you back; if you love the culture and the people, learning the language will come naturally 😊

Hi Mike! That’s GDL Sur, south of the periferico, you can search Punto Sur as a point of reference. There are a lot of nice, gated developments with pools, kids playgrounds and other amenities around that area. You and your son will love Mexico 🥰🥰

It depends on the type of car, where you live, and even if a man or a woman drives it. There are many factors that influence the cost of car insurance.

ONE CORRECTION. All antibiotics require a registered doctor’s prescription . Is there a chance you’re naming every medicine as antibiotic ? Non antibiotics don’t require prescription.
Hi there! That would have been a gross error to make. From our experience, as I mentioned, some pharmacies require prescription for antibiotics and some don’t. We bought Penicillin and Amoxicillin, for example, multiple times, and weren’t asked for a prescription. Thank you for watching 😊
@@ClauChasesColors please tell me where they infringe the law to report it , they will lose their permit and the important thing , they are to give the prescriptions in order to re buy more antibiotic . I live in Guadalajara and even when it was medicine for my dog the pharmacy didn’t give me the prescription one time cos the veterinarian didn’t sign the prescription in both pages just the second one and the name of the antibiotic was on the first page . Be careful not to buy fake or expired medicine this governor we have doesn’t care . In 23 out of 32 states all medicines are controlled by the federal government , ruled by the president’s party , there , all treatments and medications are free and the infrastructure and service are superb. This governor we hate , just asked for the money and “he would take care of our health “. Buy at very well known drug stores but even doctor Simi generic medicines asks for prescription when it has to do with antibiotics .

This is wrong. None of these prices are correct. Cost of living cost way ore than this
I have lived in Guadalajara since October 2023, and the prices she reports are exact to what I pay. The only caveat is my rent, but I live in Colomos Providencia. She quoted rent for 35 minutes outside of GDL Centro.

Es fotogénico pero en la realidad hay mucho mejores fraccionamientos en dónde vivir no solo en la zona sur, sino en Guadalajara en general
