Beautiful Jacarandas! You must have filmed this in the Spring. The most beautiful city in the world, with the most friendly and hospitable citizens in the world!
Hola. I am Korean and planning to go to Guadalajara with my daughter next February. Thank you for the nice and well explained information. Hope to see you there. Jaja~~
Guadalajara in Arabic from " wuad al hijara" = وادي الحجارة = Valley of stones 👍 - wuad = Valley - al = "the" in Arabic and we use it like "of" in some words like this word - hijara = stones Wuadalhijara = Guadalajara 👍(of course not the same prononciation in Spanish , the "j" in this word in Arabic we pronounce it like the "j" in English)
@@BGM16 I know that, probably 4000 words in Spanish, and more than 3500 in Portuguese language, the prononciation change of course In many words,, but the origin of the words arabic For example "Aceite "or" Aceituna" ,, you pronounce it by "c" in Spanish, in Arabic by "z" = we say "azeite" or "azeituna" by the letter "z" For example, ect... And there are many words same prononciation, for example "Azafrán" same prononciation in Arabic too ect.... 👍
Buenos Tardes Clau. Thank you for putting together this quick look at the different municipalities within the Guadalajara area. My wife and I will be staying in Tlaquipaqui from Jan. 20 - Feb. 20 and plan on reconnecting with with as many areas, restaurants Mercados etc. as possible. My wife's Grandfather was born and raised just outside of Tequila so we'll be spending time in the area also. Thank you again. I love your appreciation for the local food culture and history of all of the locations you spend time in. Saludos & keep chasing colors.
Hi Joe! What a nice comment. Thank you so much for your support 🙏 You must be so excited for your upcoming trip! I posted a video from Tequila as well in case you’d like to watch it, but I’m sure your wife has way more knowledge of the area than I could ever provide 😊
Oh, awesome video with so many ta Tips on where to go. Do you know or can you recommend a tour guide? Instep open or weather in general we plan on going in December 2024.
Hi! Thank you so much for watching. You don’t really need a tour guide; assuming you’re going to book a hotel in a central area, you can walk to most of the attractions included in this video or just use UBER to get around. Enjoy your trip 😊
epic video! perfect for sharing with family and friends for sure. I am loving life in GDL... I am in the middle of a 6 month stay here (July - January) have done and visited so many of the places you highlighted. I've recently discovered Parque Alcalde and love going there to sun tan since the place I am currently staying doesnt really have outdoor space to do that. in the back corner of the parque is the quite new Aquario Michin that has an outdoor restaurant and they are often playing techno dance music which adds to the mood of the parque. hope this one will make your list for the parks video! we went to La Barranca back in July. its amazing how green it is in rainy season. unfortunately we didnt plan much before we went there (should have rewatched your video!) so we didnt know where you had went for lunch. we ended up going to the outdoor restaurant in the park which was fine but certainly not fancy. I've looked into going to a baseball game and I believe the Charros season starts October 11. I;m originally from the Toronto Canada area and used to be a huge BB fan back when the Blue Jays were winning their 2 World Series. I was in college at the time and some friends and I would get on the subway right after classes ended to go down and watch the games, sometimes 3-4 times a week. so going to a game here will be like old times... cheers again for a fantastically presented video!
Aw thanks so much 🙂🙏 Your comments are always so uplifting! I do know Parque Alcalde and it’ll definitely be included in the video, it’s one of my favorite small parks in GDL 🌿 So glad to hear you two are doing so many things in the city! The BB games are super fun for sure; hoping we get to go again when we return 🙌
New sub here! Excellent video. Beginning my research for my relocation from Playa Del Carmen to GDL. Thank you for a great intro to this beautiful city!
Guadalajara my hometown until I moved to USA 🇺🇸 😢... From Seattle Guadalajara looks so beautiful....i always thought I always could go back..but things starting to get complicated, beginning with my age 😮
This was a well made video. The video on my tablet was crystal clear, so well done. I saw my home in this video 🙂. I would have mentioned specifically Bosque Los Colomos as it's so beautiful to walk through, though you did mention a separate video about parks. I agree about downtown Zapopan. It's such a great spot for any meal to relax. I think the zoo and the aquarium at the zoo would have been worth mentioning as both are two of the best in the world. Finally, walking around some areas of Providencia are awesome with its markets, restaurants, coffee houses, panaderias, and postre shops. Anyway, great video.
No way, how cool that you live in GDL 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed the video and I agree with all of your points. I love Bosque Colomos but didn’t have footage from there for this video, so I’ll reveal it when I do the parks segment 🌿 I did cover Aquario Michin though a few months ago, you can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/MeTuIXh-knM/v-deo.html Thanks so much for watching Keith 🙏
I agree about Colonia Providencia, Bosque Colomos and the Zoo. They are places very little mentioned in the reviews of travelers, but definitely very pleasant ti visit, as well as Colonia Chapalita too, which has a lot of color, gastronomy and nightlife, outside of the Popular Colonia Americana...
@@JR0078 I agree, I’m familiar now with all of these places and wish I had included them in the video. I feel like I need to do an updated version of this guide 😭😭 I did mention Bosque Los Colomos and Parque Chapalita in the GDL Best Parks video if you’d like to see it 🌿🌸 ua-cam.com/video/-bniouBLOz8/v-deo.html
Great video!! A quick question, in Zapopan, or even the whole Guadalajare area, how easy is it to live without speaking Spanish? Thinking about moving there but I don't speak any Spanish... Thanks!!
I wouldn’t worry too much about it, a lot of people in the service industry speak English, and I’m sure you’ll pick up some basic Spanish living here. I wouldn’t let that hold me back from moving to GDL. Thank you so much for watching 😊🙏
Hotels, the most elegant restaurants, and in the most touristy places, it's very common for people to speak or understand English to you. Although it is definitely recommended to learn at least the basics of Spanish, local people also love it when they see that foreigners make an effort to speak the language. It would help you to be better with all the local people who are very kind anyway!

Frank Mason Hello Clau, My name is Frank, I was wondering if you know of a Video Editor in you could recommend in Guadalajara. Kind I long shot but I am looking to relocate and would like to hire some talented people that I can work with.
In Guadalajara there is a digital creative city (Ciudad Creativa Digital) is a district in the Downtown exclusive for innovation and audiovisual creation. I don't think you'll struggle to find people to hire.
Those elegant places are very popular in the City. Not all people eat on the street and in small restaurants. GDL is famous for its Gastronomy, both street and Haute Cuisine.
