Thank you so much Tabasum ji for sharing this. In 1973_75 I was selected for swimming nationals from Punjab university Chandigarh. We had our nationals competition in Calcutta(Kolkata). We lost & Maharashtra & west Bengal were Toppers. We used to do swimming practice from May to August & these states throughout year. Those days no indoor facilities. So I just saw her during Aquatic competitions.

I was impressed with Nafisa when I saw "Junoon", an excellent movie-----many first time actors but all gave impressive performance. Nafisa's nani in that movie was a famous Urdu author Ismat Chughtai...and a song was by Varsha bhosle (Asha Bhosle's daughter) who later committed suicide. They all were first timer
