    So it doesn't sound picture perfect. Rob is 70. Think about that. Se-ven-ty. He's been doing this for 50 years and for him to even attempt some of these high notes makes him an absolute monster and a true MetalGod🤘🏻🔥

    • @mikeg.9238
      @mikeg.9238 2 роки тому +3

      He shouldn't attempt it IMO , he should only do songs within his vocal range now. Like Bruce Dickinson does. Also this is not Priest anymore , don't get me wrong. Richie is a monster guitarist , but both of the original gun slingers aren't in the band anymore. They're a glorified cover band of themselves , sorry if you disagree but it's the truth. It would be like replacing Dave Murray and Adrian Smith from Maiden , it wouldn't be the same band!

      @@mikeg.9238 I see your point and no, 50 years on it isn't the same band. They weren't the same band when Rob left in the -90's, they became a different beast when Scott joined and Glenn didn't have much choice. Outfits change personnel. It doesn't mean it's bad, just different. Sometimes good, other times not. I'd be surprised if they were the same band, but you make a valid point that is hard to argue against, especially with the singing. Stay safe man👍.

      @@tonk82 To be honest playing a couple songs at the end is not exactly being the main guitarist. Firepower was ok but not spectacular , I liked the one before it better. Also I don't know how long you've been a fan , but I saw them on the Screaming for Vengeance tour. So I'm not some fly by night fan. You can twist it all you want , they're not the same band. Without KK and Tipton it's not Priest anymore , that's the hard truth!

    Rob seems to get in better vocal shape for about five to ten years now. His voice was a lot weaker around 2010. He seems a lot more comfortable with his approach to singing these songs nowadays.

      Totally, saw them in LA a few days after this and he belted the high "you're possessing me" on A Touch of Evil PERFECTLY, and also did every single high on Hell Patrol the way they are on the album unlike how he used to keep most of the song in his lower range. A true Metal God
