Just received my Nama J2 juicer two days ago and I love it. The directions are very clear and I read them very carefully. I love that it has a small footprint and fits under my cabinets. It is very easy to assemble and to clean. I love that I don't have to cut my items up small to fit in a feeder. I can easily juice a whole Apple or just cut it in half . The materials in the juicer are very high quality. I already had an Omega 8006 and loved it and I will keep it for making a quick glass or two. I now look forward to making my juice. It is fun and quick. I am 78! Thank you John for all you do to help us select and benefit from our juicers. I so appreciate knowing about this juicer.
So glad you love this juice so I just heard about it today and I also have an Omega 8006 I think I'm going to ask my wonderful brother to get this for my birthday present later on this year cuz this juicer really does look outstanding. I'm so impressed by being able to put a whole Apple in there or let's say take a cucumber and cut it once and just throw it in there as you know with the 8006 you have to cut it up in the much smaller pieces.
@@monicawright-zc1902Are you having problems with it turning on? I am. Did everything correctly but still not turning on. Did u have that problem if so what fixed it? Thank you.
Okay, received my Nama J2 today. I am DELIGHTED! Not only does the pulp come out very dry, but this machine is super quiet, and an absolute breeze to clean up, compared to my last juicer. (It was a cheap knock off, masticating juicer, that cost just under $200.) This J2 is FANTASTIC! I layered my veggies and fruits as instructed, with chopped kale on bottom, followed by lime, apple, pear, ginger, and 4 carrots. This wonderful machine quickly chewed through that, so I fed it 8 more carrots, and enjoyed about 20 oz of delicious juice. All the pieces were easy to take apart and spray clean. The only piece that required much attention was the screen. A quick brush with my bottle brush and that piece was clean as new. I am overjoyed with this purchase!!
I bought this juicer directly from Nama. It is definitely a game changer. I made up 3 batches of juice in no time. It cleaned up easily too. However, not all the pulp came out dry, but it's the usual stuff that doesn't come out dry with any juicer. I love it. Definitely worth the money.
JUST GOT MINE! Used it today and without a doubt is this juicer is a GAME CHANGER if you are a big time daily juicer. I was able to simply wash my vegetables, insert in the hopper and then walk away, do some clean up in my kitchen and came back ant it was ready! If you are a daily juicer and very religious about juicing this is the one for you. THANKS JOHN FOR ALL YOU DO!
I was very unimpressed by the first Nama & turned off by the misleading social media promotions. Also saw the comments in their Facebook group (where there were a lot juicing newbies due to social media promoting) were heavily monitored to the point where any comment that pointed out an issue was immediately deleted. It was a complete turnoff to support the company. Your review is the only one I would trust on this juicer. As a daily juicer I am considering adding this juicer to my already full countertop Bec of the time savings. Thank you, John! I’ll buy from you if I decide to purchase.
Thank You. I have seen alot of "Fluff" with the nama juicers in general due to the affiliate relationships they have. Honestly, I really wasnt a fan of the Nama 5800 model. That being said, I do like the Nama J2, it is truly new and different and can be a game-changer for people that want to save time and batch juice. That being said, I had to "retrain" myselt to juice in batches instead of feeding each item.
This is the best Nama J2 review I've seen. I thought the thing would fall apart when you put the corn in it. I was surprised when it continued on and juiced all those ears. This review alone has made me consider buying the Nama J2. Thanks for the honest review.

Hi John thanks so much for your review of this juicer. I just found out about it from another video of a raw foodist today and I'm probably going to get this juicer later on this year from my brother as a birthday gift. I love looking forward to purchasing it from you, you were the one who got me to buy my Omega 8006 juicer also from you back in 2012 best money I ever spent. Also wanted to thank you for influencing me to get my Vitamix also from you, so I'm a long time customer I always tell people about your channel and if they're going to buy a juicer this is the guy you get it from.
Awesome demonstration - I am 'this close' to purchasing the Nama J2... Can you show us how it does with cucumber? I always get wet pulp with cucumber... Also, how does it look inside once you take it apart? Any fruit/pulp left inside?
@@okraw Thank you so much. I was curious to see if anything is left inside of the juicer... I had a Kuvings that I returned because it never pushed all of the pulp through and I had a lot of waste, but this one seems to have a clean screen, so likely does not have the same issue. Thanks again; I appreciate the reply!
1) I show what it looks like after its done juicing. How dry is cucumber pulp? Depends if the cukes are HARD (english) or soft (field grown). More firm produce is better extracted. yield is NOT much different than other high end vertical juicers, the key to this machine is less prep and batch juicing. 2) I show how much pulp is left in hopper in this video
@@simpleandsweetshares2174 every juicer can leave pulp left in the machine. I am not a fan of the kuvings as alot of pulp seems to not go thru this machine. Overall I have been satisfied with pulp left in the Nama J2.
I don’t trust anyone’s reviews except yours John everyone else’s are paid from Nama. However this juicer looks to be the one to get. Can you do a comparison vs. Kuvings EVO 820 celery juice off and then a carrot juice off?
Just an fyi, I contacted Nama and they said do not put corn on the cob through the juicer as that could damage the juicer. They only advise putting corn kernels through the juicer for making corn juice.
Warning ⚠️ I purchased this Nama juicer J2 2 months ago and the strainer inside and another part has been damaged while juicing some of the partials from the strainer came apart into the juice leaving small pieces inside my juicer. I contacted Nama through phone and email left them a voice-mail and I have yet to receive a response back. I was loving this juicer, but now I'm beginning to have second thoughts. I'll be waiting for a response I 'm very disappointed. I had my last juicer for year and years never had a problem I unfortunately gave it away after purchase this one. Some of the parts are very low quality plastic.
All the part have been mailed to me after a little over 4 weeks, but I okay with getting new parts i can now juice again. Hope it won't be a issue in the future. I now chap down all my fruits & vegetables. Don't believe in they're ad's about putting a full apple it will destroy the strainer or juicer
I can say that this machine is superior to the Nana Vitality 5800, and it is very convenient to juice.the box is beautiful !!! the commentator Have a good report ... many people buy it !!!!
Currently the VSJ843. But I will do a comparison of the J2 and the VSJ843 and in that video, I will likely have a new favorite. There are pros and cons to each machine. Overall I am liking the J2 at this point and use it more than the VSJ843, but not ready to commit to it yet. Need to do more side-by-side tests.
Hey John! I followed your advice and purchased the J2, BUT I'm very disappointed with the juice yield! I was juicing celery and the pulp came out soaking wet!!! Same performance as my cheap $90 masticating juicer :( Is this normal?! Can you do a comparison between J2 and Omega VSJ843?!
@@chevelleflorida Nope I've had to double juice celery and got like 25% more juice from it! J2 is not good with softer fruits/veggies alone you have to mix with harder ones.
Thanks for another great video! The hopper idea is interesting. Perhaps Tribest could make a large hopper with a food processor blade for the Greenstar as a replacement for the feeder shroud? Or even a vacuum hopper! We do like the J2...
I've juiced corn in the jack lalanne power juicer. It goes through it like butter. Maybe less yield than the Nama,, but don't want to risk it in my Nama or Omega
You can't buy a Nama anywhere else. Only directly from them. That needs to change. I purchased the first one, then canceled my order immediately. I purchased a Nutribullet slow juicer, & I'm so happy with my purchase. Joe, can you do a video on that juicer? There's hardly any videos on that slow juicer.
While you CAN buy the juicer on Nama's Site directly, I am probably the ONLY other retailer that sells Nama Juicers www.discountjuicers.com/namaj2black.html
omg!!! I want this!!!! I have the previous model.... THISSSSS would be awesome... maybe you can suggest that they take back their old ones for credit on the new one...
Thank you so much for you testing the juicer, would you please show who this machine works with herbs, celery, and leafy greens?? Also what is your opinion on comparing this J2 with Sana 727?? Which one saves the juice from oxidation better?? One last question please, when the juice is coming down to an open container while juicing, doesn’t it create oxidation to the juice?? Again thank you so much for reviewing and hopefully you can answer my questions.
For greens & herbs , the sana 727 would be a better machine see ua-cam.com/video/9ArS3oVbut4/v-deo.html for my detailed comparison. Also see ua-cam.com/video/7ILENcNpVOw/v-deo.html where I share the best juicers for 2022
If you can get that much juice out of corn without breaking the Nama J2 I'm sold! I. Currently own the solostar 4. Sometimes I just don't feel like chopping anything after washing my procude thus I'd like a companion.
Thanks for doing this review. I got both juicers and trusted the word of a UA-camr I am not so sure about now. And I saw your review of the first Nama Juicer. But seeing the turn around here, I feel much better having bought the Nama J2. I'm really glad I saw this video. I hope that this juicer truly lives up to its reputation as this is the first juicer that I will have ever owned or used.
I watched someone juice with this and then clean up, including 2 done by Nama. Was very impressed with the juicing part, but the cleanup, not so much. Seems like a lot of parts and scrubbing to do. Especially if you do li a lot of carrots like I do and large volumes. Plus, it says you need to dry completely before reassembling. I often have juiced, washed, and reassembled my other two juicers immediately. I still have my GSE and Omega NC 800. Love them both. But the NC 800 I can clean in less than 2 minutes so I love it for the ease of use and clean up. Plus I had figured out how to cut my vegetables come and fruit so that it just self feeds and I rarely use a tamper. Will be interesting to see how this one holds up. Thanks for your demo.
@@landonp.4073 , I also have a GSE, and yes, it is a bear to clean, though I have used it several times when I did a juice fast, or was healing a particular issue. But, because of the cleaning of the GSE(and others I've owned since 1994) I use the NC800 most of the time now. But, since there's no to little time spent cutting, and prep time, and if you can just put your fruits and veggies in, maybe it will all balance out.
The NC800 is the easiest to clean :) Takes me 80 seconds! The Omega VSJ843 is my easiest to clean vertical juicer that takes me 3 minutes to clean. The Nama J2 does take me longer to clean I estimate about 5 minutes I personally would rather clean the Nama J2 than a Green Star Pro, but would rather clean the VSJ843 over the Nama J2.. That being said, the J2 will save you time WHILE juicing for only a small increase in the cleaning time. But its important to factor in how much do you hate cleaning? If you hate cleaning then get a nc800, despite it will take longer to use. Each juicer has its own set of pros and cons.

John love your videos! Heard about the Nama but waited to hear your comments. True and honest. Thanks so much. Can't wait for your one on one juice offs.
Hi John, I'm almost sold on buying this one. Would you recommend it for celery juice? I'm looking for the best yield and least oxidation. I had just bought the omega celery juice one, but it gets warm, and the pulp is warm too, so I'm returning it. Also, I'm in Europe, so it's harder to find distributors of these brands. Thank you so much for your videos!
nice video... but its not easy clean and the amount of reverse, on , i know corn was almost like dried hard wood still i wont reverse my machine so many times, so a pass for me. though a good informative video. and what was price !
I've been juicing for over thirty years and never have I ever thought to juice corn on the cob. I still won't. You might as well have "juiced" some roof shingles. Beets would have been a better real life test. Overall I like your reviews and this one had a good demonstration with the apples. Now for the drop kick... :)
Hi John , your complexion looks so healthy from drinking raw juices ! I just ordered the J2 Noma last week and got 75.00 dollars off because of the promotion ! I will be getting it Monday . I just came across this video . I enjoyed your demo ! The corn looks awesome ! Perhaps i will cut it off the cob first because I definately want to try the corn drink !
I was waiting for your review of the Nama J2! Thank you! I am wondering, how does this compare to the Hurom H200? Also, will they make an attachment to make sorbets? Or can one be purchased? I look forward to your response and to your other videos on this machine!
I have the h 200 The hopper works great and is literally identical in some respects given that they are both made in the same factory. The h200 cleans soooo easy. But the h200 for sure gets more pulp in the juice given that it has no metal mesh. I simply strain it out with a strainer as it enters the juicer container. I’m very happy with the h200 but I would be very tempted to try out this baby. This nama looks great! I would have to try it myself to say if I would like it more than the h200. Same hopper. Different juicing techniques. H200 easier to clean, but more pulp.
I have not tested the H200. If it were me, I would get the J2. Why? It costs $150 less. The H200 screenless design puts too much pulp in the juice for my liking. Nama has better customer service in the USA than Hurom USA from the feedback I have recieved.
just about, although due to the way this works, it may not work on straight leafy greens as they might just rotate around the hopper. Also I have noticed when juicing mostly leafy greens in the J2 it creates more foam than a VSJ843 would.
How do you define better? It terms of yield, its highly unlikely in my opinion. In terms of jamming, the Nama J2 will win for sure. I will do a head-to-head soon.
Do you know how much juice can be made effectively before it needs to be taken apart and scrubbed? I’m wondering as it goes how much pulp gets in the juice.
It puts a lower amount of pulp in the juice compared to most of the other vertical juicers I have tested, It depends on WHAT you are juicing as to how much you can make before you must clean. For example, I made 6 quarts of green juice, and did not have to take it apart to clean during the process.
John, I bought the Slowstart juicer a few weeks ago and emailed a question with no response. A second question... is day old celery juice just as nutritious as first day? Thanks
I generally answer all questions from US based customers in 72 hours. I recommend drinking celery right after it is made for the most nutrition. 2nd day it has oxidized.
lmao loving him always. but the juicing the corn was my fave part. but john you're everything. love it . mine is on the way today! so excited. have been watching all your videos in prep! thanks for the discount code! But wish I would've just bout from you! next time! Next juicer you inspire me to get.
I agree I should have brought straight from John but didn't think was still relatable due the video I saw was old 😔 I brought mine from the nama website it came Friday and I am super happy with it
Slicing the corn vertically such that you get all the corns from the edges up to the start of the cob and discarding the cob might have been easier on the machine. Just saying.
I have to kuving juicer c7000 and hates it. I just purchased and used the Nama J2 for the first time today. Easy to use, and less cleaning time. Absolutely fantastic! No blade!
I ordered today. Used the code-thanks! I’ve never considered corn juice, but you e convinced me it would be delicious. The main reason I dread juicing is the time it takes to chop and feed the produce. This juicer looks like a great time-saving innovation. I appreciate your thorough review. So, the lemon…did you put it in, peel and all?
I have one question, does it do blackberries mono juicing. I don't like to mix my juices. I want to do all blackberries, all strawberries and all blue berries no mixing just a single type only?
while the J2 can juice SINGLE fruits, and actually works well based on my testing, I do NOT recommend any slow juicer for juicing berries, it is not the ideal juicer to do so. See ua-cam.com/video/VqRwk_dtjPA/v-deo.html for my views on this topic
Depends how you define "better". The juice quality and yield are similiar. Cleaning takes longer in the J2, although there is less prep work and precutting and no feeding of produce into the J2, just load the hopper and go!

Hey Jon, so I purchased the Hurom self-feed from you....love it. How does this compares. Maybe a comparison video?
I don’t trust anyone’s reviews except yours John everyone else’s are paid from Nama. However this juicer looks to be the one to get. Can you do a comparison vs. Kuvings EVO 820 celery juice off and then a carrot juice off?
Thank You. I strive to tell it like it is, and cut thru all the marketing fluff that may appear from others. comparisons are coming up :)
I would love to see the Nama vs Slowstar. That’s the final comparison before I make my holiday purchase.
Get the J2 !
@@ddolde why please?
just purchased this thanks john been fallowing your videos for 5 yrs ,, looks like a great juicer , i own 4 , thank you john
can you please do a video with fresh greens?
It's healthy and okay to juice the entire apple? With the core and seeds and then drink it?
Is the Omega VSJ843 still your favourite or Nama J2 is now the best in your opinion?
Currently the VSJ843. But I will do a comparison of the J2 and the VSJ843 and in that video, I will likely have a new favorite. There are pros and cons to each machine. Overall I am liking the J2 at this point and use it more than the VSJ843, but not ready to commit to it yet. Need to do more side-by-side tests.
Nice juicer machine. Almost similar with Hurom h200. Hope you can have a comparison video. Thanks
ya.
Very informative & Thorough on all levels.Great video John...Respect 👍🏽
Kitty did your experience with the J2 get any better? Soaking wet pulp is unacceptable.
@@chevelleflorida Nope I've had to double juice celery and got like 25% more juice from it! J2 is not good with softer fruits/veggies alone you have to mix with harder ones.
The fact it even juiced the cob's is very impressive
Of course the next evolution would be to have the whole thing in a vacuum. As Spock says, this is logical.
Thanks for another great video! The hopper idea is interesting. Perhaps Tribest could make a large hopper with a food processor blade for the Greenstar as a replacement for the feeder shroud? Or even a vacuum hopper! We do like the J2...
I wish too. My tribest slowstar is my best juicer so far.
Thank you for this video, I just bought this juicer, with out watching your video, and am happy to have stumbled on it with you tube.
Great review John!🤩 Please make a comparison Nama J2 vs. Hurom H200🙏🏾
see ua-cam.com/video/pmIV4v9xaMQ/v-deo.html
Yes I am still debating whether to buy it. A lot of money but I want to batch juice to do a juice fast
I had the Juice Man for many years and I loved it, I tried the Breville but didn't like so it was donated. Seriously I want this one.
Not worth the money. first use and it’s stuck together… they say it could take 2 days to come unstuck. I followed all of the directions. NOT worth it.
@@nazuma9992 T Y for your comment,
@@nazuma9992 its very expensive thats what holding me up . I am looking at the omega
Between the corn juicing and your hair this is your best video 👏 at least the funniest 😂 🍻
I watched someone juice with this and then clean up, including 2 done by Nama.
Was very impressed with the juicing part, but the cleanup, not so much. Seems like a lot of parts and scrubbing to do. Especially if you do li
a lot of carrots like I do and large volumes.
Cleaning the GSE/Pro is a huge hassle. I can’t see this one being worse than that.

Excellent vidéo
Continue to test it! With pure celery please!!!
My name j2 just arrived today!!! I cant wait to try it tomorrow morning.
Hi John
Thanks you so much for your review, I live in Australia is it possible that I can get Nama J2 ?
Amazing review done… can we do coconut milk in nana j2? Please confirm
Thanks John!! Pls keep up the great work. You were instrumental on my journey to juicing and continue to be my go to reference. Much gratitude : )
Juicing pomegranate is a bit cloudy - I am assuming the seed?
What would be an alternative to Nama J2, which includes faster cleaning and possibly making sorbets? Love
Depends on your specific needs. The Omega Nc800 takes me 80 seconds to clean www.discountjuicers.com/omeganc800.html It can make sorbets.
1:40 jams less than the Tribest Slowstar? I have yet to jam the Slowstar even with large batches of all root vegetables.
nice video... but its not easy clean and the amount of reverse, on , i know corn was almost like dried hard wood still i wont reverse my machine so many times, so a pass for me. though a good informative video. and what was price !
550 $
I've been juicing for over thirty years and never have I ever thought to juice corn on the cob. I still won't. You might as well have "juiced" some roof shingles. Beets would have been a better real life test. Overall I like your reviews and this one had a good demonstration with the apples. Now for the drop kick... :)
YOU don't juice corn, so nobody else should either.
😂😂
@@richardgray8593 Duh.
Drinking corn juice is quite popular in Brazil.....very delish...maybe expand your view
@@onbreak5243 Do you juice the purple corn like they do in Peru? I don't think this Karen here is gonna change her mind on anything.
Hi John , your complexion looks so healthy from drinking raw juices ! I just ordered the J2 Noma last week and got 75.00 dollars off because of the promotion ! I will be getting it Monday . I just came across this video . I enjoyed your demo ! The corn looks awesome ! Perhaps i will cut it off the cob first because I definately want to try the corn drink !
if you could own any juicer, what would it be? the nama? or, something else? THANKS.
I think you could green juice with that. I am thinking the price is a bit steep, but I am, uh, frugal.
I was waiting for your review of the Nama J2! Thank you! I am wondering, how does this compare to the Hurom H200? Also, will they make an attachment to make sorbets? Or can one be purchased? I look forward to your response and to your other videos on this machine!
I have the h 200
The hopper works great and is literally identical in some respects given that they are both made in the same factory.
@@GodDieux Thank you! The name is looking like a pretty good choice for a vertical juicer!
Is Nama good for leafy green like kale?
Can you recommend juicer for kale?
I need to replace my Omega VSJ843. Does this unit juice leafy greens just as well as the VSJ?
just about, although due to the way this works, it may not work on straight leafy greens as they might just rotate around the hopper. Also I have noticed when juicing mostly leafy greens in the J2 it creates more foam than a VSJ843 would.
I never heard of anybody drinking corn-juice, Salute
I like that it takes the concept of the from the industrial juicing machines like the Good Nature machines and brings the technology to your home.
Better than the Kuvings EVO820 ??
How do you define better? It terms of yield, its highly unlikely in my opinion. In terms of jamming, the Nama J2 will win for sure. I will do a head-to-head soon.
Thank you for the video. I just love my J2. I am interested in the glass pitcher you used to catch your juice. Can you provide a link? Thanks again 🙏😊
Its a 2 quart anchor hocking glass measuring or mixing bowl, should be available at Walmart or Target stores.
Thanks for this! I was laughing so hard while watching it. Who would’ve ever thought you could juice corn! Lolllll
I’m confused I thought your UA-cam juice video s are about how well the juicer juices not how you can break it
I am leaning at buying on for cyber Monday thanks for your video really helped make my choice!!!
John,
I bought the Slowstart juicer a few weeks ago and emailed a question with no response. A second question... is day old celery juice just as nutritious as first day? Thanks
I generally answer all questions from US based customers in 72 hours. I recommend drinking celery right after it is made for the most nutrition. 2nd day it has oxidized.
Liked the way you stress tested the machine 🙂
lmao loving him always. but the juicing the corn was my fave part. but john you're everything. love it . mine is on the way today! so excited. have been watching all your videos in prep! thanks for the discount code!
It was a test to see how strong the motor is
I have to kuving juicer c7000 and hates it. I just purchased and used the Nama J2 for the first time today. Easy to use, and less cleaning time. Absolutely fantastic! No blade!
Yes please j2 vs kuvings
Pulp bin and Juice bin should be stackable size in the big input chamber bin. that would make storage(95% of the time) simple
I juice lemons and limes whole. Other citrus should be peeled (but leave the white pith)
Is there a commercial version? Thanks so much for the review…impressive!
No commercial version available. This model is made for the home.
Ty for tge discount code. Got my juicer today ordered on Sunday
John! Love your videos! Where did you get those great glass containers?
Why are you juicing corn 🥴🥴😂😂
Wow, I like it! As always, thanks for your honest review, John!
I used your code and finally purchased this juicer Today. I am ready for a healthier me.
I know it juices fast and the prep time is pretty much over, but is it a better overall juicer that the Omega VSJ8?
Depends how you define "better". The juice quality and yield are similiar. Cleaning takes longer in the J2, although there is less prep work and precutting and no feeding of produce into the J2, just load the hopper and go!
Hi. How much total counter space is needed once you include the juice and pulp cups considering that the product is 9.8" wide?
