@@timandfin That was a LOT of fun! Lori actually was so inspired by "Volcano Man" she hauled Claire's dress to Scotland and we did "The Skye Boat Song"... so much fun!
It’s been a few years now, but we got snowed out of the Italy side. It was too windy, snowy and cold and too late in the day. I loaded up on Swiss beer, Chopfab in the black can. My favorite. Always had some in my pack.
Great video! What a magic environment. LOL when you poored the beer. That type of beer needs to be poored very slowly, keeping the glass almost horizontally and taking about 40 secconds ;-)
I skies Zermatt in March right before Covid. It was amazing. Make sure you go to cervinia and explore a little bit. The restaurants are amazing and pretty cheap. In this video they went to valtournenche . If they went to Cervinia they didnt show it.
22:30 It's funny hearing the flight prices now. It makes this video seem from so long ago - not just 5 months. lol Love watxhkng your videos! Had a similar trip experience at Ischgl (Austria into Switzerland), St. Anthon and the Dolomites a few years ago. One of the best trips of my life. As you said earlier, the views are like looking at National Geographic. The cameras just couldn't do them justice. As a snowboarder, my experience was that Europe is much more ski friendly (than snowboard friendly) than most places in the US. There were sometimes extended areas of flat land, where we just had to unstrap and trek it. I had a friend who was not very fast. The skiers were able to just pole across. Still amazing .... and Tim just mentioned the same (30:45).
Amazing vlog! There's nothing better than après ski is there! Zermatt is definitely on my ski list! I've just come back from Morzine and the Aprés there was so good!
During ski season from January till end of march, every saturday, I'm there in the Zermatt-Cervinia area skiing like there's no tomorrow. Love those mountains and downhills.
There is a stunning lack of igloos in the United States too! Oh my gawww this was great - so funny and makes me miss skiing. 100 for view of your wife 🥰
Oh this post brought back so many memories. I have skied Zermatt 5X, but haven't been since 1995. Your videography really showed off the mountains! Another mountain resto is the Findlerhof, used to be Franz and Heidi's. Thanks for bringing back the memories!
What a fun ride, thank you so much!! Oh how I long back to the two weeks skiing in Feb every year in the Alps when younger. New England skiing although in my back yard, thus convenient isn't even close. And Apres Ski, European style is non existent. You ignited my enthusiasm to do the Alps again. Tks!!
One of your BEST videos yet and that says a lot. It reminds me of my time I spent living in Steamboat Springs! I never mastered skiing because I tried to learn too late in life, but wow, those runs look rad!
Is still deciding what to do for my son's for spring break.. Vail, NYC, Dubai , ski Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, couchevel, or a ski somewhere nearby Canada.
So good to see you guys back at it after a very long break. It wouldn't be me if I didn't again hope that you catch up on your emails when you get home.
Coming from Colorado, I think the overall skiing in that area is decent. It’s more about the experience. I’d say if you want a little of both head a little east to Dolomiti. Moena in particular. The skiing is excellent and you’re in the land of Grappa! Plus a day+ excursion to Venice is entirely possible. I’ve skied Saas Fee (Next to Zermatt) and the terrain is solid for intermediate to expert skiers. Beginners will be challenged. However, the dramatic vistas and scenery is absolutely breathtaking. It’s a bucket list destination for sure! Great series.
I was surprised that you guys didn’t do actual après-ski in Zermatt. After a day of skiing, you can find great places eat, drink and dance on the table if you wish, like at Hennu Stall. You need to meet the locals while eating incredible fondue. You need to go back!
Personally, I really liked this. It looks like awesome fun. I love that you guys aren't doing the sponsored rounds and I like your sense of humour.... Was watching this morning over coffee with my girls, trying to get them psyched up for us to leave it all and go travelling. PS. Australian skiing is very average!!. Thank you!
Love this vlog. Matterhorn definitely in my bucket list. Love your entertaining and educational conversations. Makes the viewer feel like they’re right there with you. Enjoying the skiing vicariously. Keep it up. Everywhere you go you make it so interesting
A bucket list spectacular from the best Tim and Fin. It's on our wish list too. You guys were killing on the slopes.Thank you taking us along those killer views and slopes. Sending you lots of LoL. 😍😍😍😍 Jim and Harriet . Richmond, Va.
“There is a stunning lack of Matterhorns in the states….” 😂😂😂 this film just brings back way too many memories or guiding Zermatt- I just wanted to be there with you guys so bad!! Also loving your style of 1 run then apres 😂🤩💪🎿
really enjoyed this episode. Spent 4 winters skiing in Europe and this brings back so many great memories, skiing country to country was fantastic each day....we were London based so costs were very cheap and stayed 10 days. The bigger ski tourist areas, Zermatt, Avoriaz etc we avoided if possible or just did a few slopes so we were on the big fast crowdless ski areas all day just like you guys on the Italian slopes
Tim glasses, please share who makes them❤️ My wife and I are booked to Iceland in Oct, thank for being so fun and sharing. Top of Europe might need to be next!!
You should also mention. The peak2peak Italy to Switzerland is closed 90% of the time. Cervinia lifts are hardly open due to it being in a wind tunnel. People get stuck in either country all the time due to the lift closing midday with no notice, and it's a 3.5hour uber/taxi back.
Did you not ski the rest of the way into Cervinia or just not show it? At the end of the long run you went on was Valtournenche. Cervinia has a nice little ski town with all kinds of restaurants and shops.
With how much snow the NorthEast is getting right now in the US, it almost feels like we're in the Alps too hahaha. Wish we were able to hit those awesome slopes too! ⛷ ❄️
Nice vid and awesome summary of what it's like skiing in Zermatt (I ski there maybe 10-15 days per year). Mind you: Zermatt ist not representative of skiing in Switzerland, it's really in its own league when it comes to skiing and food. On another note, it's probably not the best for the "true" Après Ski, i.e. partying on the slope or on the bottom of the hill - for that Davos would be better and then of course places like Ischgl, Sölden or Val Thorens... Enjoy!
Hi guys! I love your videos. They’re so much fun to watch! I totally feel like we would be friends if we met in real life. 😊 I have a question about the hotel where you stayed- I have a reservation there in March, and I am wondering if they will give you a ride on the electric car to the lifts/funicular? Thank you so much! You guys are awesome! Cheers to Bucci too!
Great video! Loved the openess of the Italian skiing. Tim, how do you like your Cardiff board? My daughter is the Head of Brand at Cardiff. Truly enjoyed watching your adventure...would love to duplicate it someday.
Really enjoyed your video. Have been to Zermatt twice. The last time was March 2020. Possibly going back thus March. Curious to know what the covid testing was while in Switzerland

Great video! My kids have a only been skiing once but my 11 year old daughter is now a pro lol. They were doing blues in Telluride after 2 days. Would Zermatt work for us or is it too Advanced. Last question, do you have to speak German or can you get away with only English?
We just came back from our second ski trip to Zermatt. We were having the same conversation about a US vs. Switzerland ski trip while having lunch at Chez Vrony. Your analysis is spot-on. We avoided the holiday/peak time and, all in, it was at least 25-30% cheaper for us to travel to Zermatt than Vail. On top of that, everything is better there... the skiing, the views, the lift lines, the apres ski, the skier etiquette, the food, the drinks. Thanks for bringing back the good memories... Cheers!
I went to Zermatt and stayed on the slop in Furi with an incredible breakfast included with an immaculate spa and it was way cheaper than skiing out west. Not even close.
Hi, awesome video! I am going to Zermatt for my second time in early March. However, this is my first time with an Ikon pass. Did you have to purchase a separate international pass to take the lifts on the Italian side? The Ikon site wording and trip reports are quite confusing.
Definitely go to Italy. Especially if Zermatt is crowded. Cervinia is a neat little town with amazing cheap restaurants. In this video they went to valtournenche and didnt go to Cervinia. Your Ikon pass does not work in Cervinia, you will have to purchase a supplemental Italian pass when you get there. I would do a daily as you will spend the majority of your time in Zermatt.
smoke is not coming from your mouthes :D when were you there, what month and what was the temperature. seems it's not freeing and is comfortable! In the northeast america it's impossible to ski for me because of the freeeeezing conditions! And what brand ski suit are you wearing? Thanks
The run from Switzerland to Italy did not look that complicated in the video, did ya'll not film the more technical parts of the trail? What qualified it as a black? Just some more steep parts?
Trying UA-cam Premiere again, join us at the set time and we'll be live in the chat! See you soon - Fin
Looking forward to it! Chuck & Lori

I don't know why u missed pakistan . But I gurrenty after seeing pakistan you will forget all world.
Tim & Fin capture a trip like no one else can. Best wishes. Have a wonderful weekend to all who read this. Never give up on your dreams👍
The cost of domestic travel is still insane! Glad you guys costed it out and showed how do-able international trips like this can be. 😄
Perfect upload without any doubt.....Such a charming video.
Thank you for being there for us!!!!!!
Excited to watch! Great video to watch with 24” of snow dumping in Mass!
oh my gosh! Time to shred!
What a wonderful skiing trip - and you were so lucky with the weather, too and we have had some awfully grey days this winter….
So lucky!
It’s been a few years now, but we got snowed out of the Italy side. It was too windy, snowy and cold and too late in the day. I loaded up on Swiss beer, Chopfab in the black can. My favorite. Always had some in my pack.
We did see a Air Zermatt rescue from a table at Trockner Stegg. It was super cool.
Love skiing in Switzerland
I love this series. You two seem to have so much fun that I can't stop smiling the whole time. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
I enjoy your videos :). Thanks for sharing
Loved seeing Dr. Bucci again, nothing but good friends and good vibes in 2022
😎🤙
Already SO fun! You two are so cute! :)
34:43 love the Colorado flag! ❤️

I love your guys energy and I love this video
Great video! What a magic environment. LOL when you poored the beer. That type of beer needs to be poored very slowly, keeping the glass almost horizontally and taking about 40 secconds ;-)
Glad I found this channel. We like to travel too and your experiences are priceless for our future plans.
Tim shredding: helmet undone , Tim drinking espresso: helmet buckled hahaha
Thank you for all the info. Currently live and ride CO but will be heading to Zermatt in March. Alot of helpful information here.

I went to Zermatt and stayed on the slop in Furi with an incredible breakfast included with an immaculate spa and it was way cheaper than skiing out west. Not even close.
swiss is also by far the most expensive place to ski in Europe also.
Unbelievable. This place called Zermatt is extremely well know and for many reasons. Not sure where Zermont is though???? 😂😂

about the costs compared to the USA, if you would have gone to Austria or Germany it would have been cheaper. Since Switzerland is pretty expensive
