Kyle, This video is a couple of years old but I thank you for sharing it with us. You have a great attitude. There are rules for a reason. You are amazingly mature and handle things as a adult should. Fun can be had without being an idiot.
Yes, I served as well. Briefly Japan on the way to South Korea. I wasn't a screw up and self discipline has served me well.

I arrived on Okinawa in June 15th 1971, I was 18 years old, turned 19 in August, spent the next year and a half on the island....went TDY to Taegu South Korea for 2 weeks in October 1971 and TDY to Pleiku air base South Vietnam for 68. days from September 72 to Thanksgiving day 72 then returned to Okinawa and returned to the U. S. On 10 December 72 went on to finish my air force stint at Bergstrom AFB Austin Texas 1973 and August 1974. For those who aren't attached to the bases any more and looking to get a real Japanese driver's license - it's tough. You will be expected to drive though a closed course and the person evaluating you will not tell you when to turn the blinker on. Turning your blinker on too late and not pumping your brake 3 times during turns will cause you to fail. You absolutely must take the driving test training course where they teach you the route and what the test proctors are looking for. The guys at the DMV will even ask you if you've take driving lessons off base and that affects your chances of passing.

Very cool video, good to see that Americans there are respectful and (try) to not get into trouble, but this is mostly my experience when meeting US soldiers abroad anyway. Going to go to Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) from next summer. Can't wait. By the way, if you have some spare time, you may want to take a tour of that place. Admission is free (I am guessing there's no reason for US troops to be restricted access, but you may want to ask), faculty extremely friendly and the science is world class.

I wonder (and you might address this in your other videos- if you do, I apologize, I haven't watched them all), how is free speech for military? Curfew, I didnt have curfew as a US Marine stationed in MCAS Futenma. My clubbing days would have been null. The US navy also had curfew when I was there ages ago. Surprise the Air Force has curfew.
