One of George’s and Beatles’ most under appreciated songs. Great cover.
I really appreciate your comment.
I seems though that it get more or more appreciated over time.
John Lennon loved this by George...said it was one of his best
To see the instruments being played is magic
Even from my view (the vocal/guitar), the other three's play were magic.
The spirit of George. Life flows on within you and without you.
Yes, I love the wordings.
That's beneath saying 👏👏
@Oscar & for a well designed performance 💗
This Beatles fan of more than 50 years has just heard one hell of a performance. This of sharing. Hats off to all four of you!!
I'm really grateful to hear that. Thank you for sharing your comment.
@@7stringist You're all welcome. it would be far out if the four of you would play at a Beatles convention.👍
@@alonenjersey I didn't know the Beatles Convention. Googled. What a event!
@@7stringist Yes indeed it is. I went to my first one back in March 1980. These days there are three conventions each year. NY Metro, Chicago & Los Angeles. I myself haven't been to one in a long time but I hope to see & hear the four of you performing there for the many fans from all over the land.
Never a better cover, magic!!
This is talent that should perform LIVE worldwide
You even got the laugh in at the end. Nice.
Many thanks
I’m 71 , a lead guitarist and have been playing in bands since I was 15. I remember reading the credits to Norwegian Wood on Rubber Soul, seeing Sitar and thinking they spelled guitar wrong lol. I soon found out what a Sitar was. I remember being so blown away by this song the first time I heard it. I read an article about George learning to play from Ravi Shankar. The article mentioned how that in India, as part of their religion it would take up to two years just to learn to hold the instrument and other symbolic preparations before you actually start playing. George went right to playing and picked up the Sitar very quickly. Simply amazing. I saw Harrison live and Ravi Shankar along with other Indian musicians playing with him. It was so cool to watch them. I remember this guy sitting behind me and complaining, when were they going to finish. I turned and said look at your ticket. It says George Harrison with Ravi Shankar. He got quiet lol. After watching this at 71, I’m wondering if I should buy a Sitar. Oh yeah, the phenomenon was so popular that a guitar with resonating strings was invented I believe by Dan Electro. You can hear one on Hooked on a Feeling by BJ Thomas. The social influence of the Beatles
Oh and George with his band did perform for about 1and1/2 hours. George Harrison, Jim Keltner on drums, Krause Vormann on bass, Gary Wright on keys, Jesse Ed Davis on lead guitar, Tom Scott and the LA express on horns and two members of Badfinger on acoustic and singing backing vocals. There was a second drummer and I want to say Ringo but I’m not sure. It was in the early 70’s
You watched them! Oh, that's cool.
Music is universal… floating through space and time… like a cloud ☁️… Beautiful cover of this song of George’s… even the laugh at the end.
Thank You 🙏 for this… it was wonderful…🌻

Everyone should agree that this is a perfect cover version of this song from a near perfect band of players
Thank you. Even though the band configuration was completely different from the original, especially without an orchestra, if it sounds perfect, I'm very happy.
This was Perfect. HATS OFF!!!!
Thank you for the comment!
When I bought the Sgt Pepper LP in 1967 I never listened to, “Within You Without You;” instead, I would lift the needle on my little record-player and set it to, “When I’m Sixty-Four.” Guess I wasn’t ready at age 13 for the profound message(s) contained within George’s masterpiece. I have since made up for lost time and listen to this song two or three times a week. Not only is it my favorite song from Sgt Pepper; it is one of my all-time favorite songs period. Incidentally, I recently discovered a voices-only version of Sgt Pepper on UA-cam - “WYWY” is fantastic - even without the superb Indian musicianship - George’s voice is so vulnerable and soulful. Check it out!
I started to (just casually) learn Indian tabla just few years ago and became able to understand this music a bit more than before. Before that, this was just one of Beatles' songs but now this is one of the most interesting Beatles' songs to play. When I covered this song I carefully read the lyrics and saw a depth of the world. Thank you very much for th your comment. I'll check it.
@@7stringist - so glad you took the time to learn the instrument AND this song! Much respect for You!
I was 3 years old, when my parents bought this in 67. All I remember, that I loved this music and I still know the text of every song. (english is not my mother tounge). My mother once told me, that I danced to most of the songs, but not to this one, she said I was standing next to loudspeaker, just listening. We still have that album!
And if somebody took off the needle at "A Day in my Live" too early, I got mad....
@@karloarsch1579 A Day in the Life
Wonderful ! Lennon and McCartney are the greatest songwriters of my life. I also believe That Harrison will be found as musician and songwriter that brought much to this world.
None of The Beatles played on this song except for George. Very well done! Thank you!
Thank you for that info that only George played . Love this cut. Beautiful. Have you seen on UA-cam, LOS LOBOS doing " TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS"❓ Amazing cover.❗ They used a bunch of live musical improvising to mimic the original. Bravo. Check it out.
I was, not even 13, very surprised by that song in '67 &❤touched a very lot from the first moment on!
😍
Very good! George Harrison would like it very much!
Thank you very much. I'm proud of the members who realized the performance.
How did I get here? I don't know, but I'm glad that I did!
I also don't know why the number of view has been skyrocketing since last Dec.
George did three Indian influenced songs when he was with the Beatles. "Within You Without You", "Love You To" ( from the "Revolver" album ), and "The Inner Light" - which is a very overlooked one of his, being the flip side of the "Lady Madonna" single..
What a treat to watch the players and the instruments. All excellent musicians. Many thanks from this George Harrison's fan
Such a treasure to see it played after listening only for so many years.
George would have been riveted by this performance. So easy to imagine him beaming over it.
Thanks. Really happy to find your comment
How thoroughly gorgeous.
Not only that four people would perform such a wonderful recreation of a George’s beautiful tune, but, that they did it so well. I’m overjoyed.
Thank you very much for your comment. We really enjoyed the performance and,I think, that made it so well.

You really did a splendid job. 🙏

Thanks to 7stringist: they memorialized George Harrison’s life that although Life goes On with you and without, our Lives have been enriched by his composition and 7stringist masterful cover!
Two people can't see that life flows on within you and without you.

nicely done - love the tabla
Thank you! I’ll share your comment with him, the tabla player.
Lovely... very good. Regards from Brazil.
Thanks... This is from Japan.
Thank you for keeping George’s amazing legacy alive and vibrant. ¡Aplausos!
Happy to hear that. ¡Gracias!
A magical evocation of this wonderful George Harrison classic... your performances channel every bit of the Beatles original energy and spirit that flows from the enigmatic LP that is "Sergeant Pepper"..! Spine tingling accuracy in your playing and interpretation..!
Bravo, tout les musiciens... incroyable.
Surprisingly, even for me, we only had a brief rehearsal just on the day before the gig, and got such an outcome. When I listen back, it sounds like a miracle. Merci beaucoup!
Beautiful music and wonderful people
Thank you so much!
Excellent job covering the Beatles on a very difficult song. The FAB 4 would say you were FAB also ! Loved it ! Mike from Boston
Yes, it was a challenging task. Thank you very much for your words!
My respect for all of you, amazing version and performance. George would be proud.
Thank you very much for your comment that is one of the most appreciated.
So soulful! A perfect rendition ❤️ really glad I was recommended this. Found myself transported. Om shanti !
Thank you very much for your comment. This was realized by talented players and love for the song and the Beatles.
Wow!!!! Very good cover, almost the original
Like this song very much and want cover it on my classical guitar
Thank you very much!
This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. The incorporation of actual instrumentation used on the song is just pure adoration
Thank you for the comment. I think there are not many cover versions with the esraj (or dilruba).
Excellent work, bravo!
Nuff respect! Awesome... Forward! ☺
🤩
Man, the sheer complexity of those exotic instruments, and the "whoop" of the percussionist's wrist against the skins, is nothing short of amazing. Hats off to the Fab Four, of course. But also to these fine musicians. Well done!!
Just saw on YT tonight. Amazing and professional. Thank you!

excellent! beautiful the way they play it, magnificent and underrated work of the Beatles
I'm really happy to share this.
Very Nice

Fantastic
Wow! You all nailed that! Beautiful!
Wonderful job!! I've been watching a lot of covers of this song, and no one comes anywhere near close to what the original song is like, until i found you guys. You even got the laughter at the end!! Haha, fantastic! Hope you're all still playing, and well.
Thank you very much for your comment. Although this setup was quite minimum, we successfully replicated pretty much of the original sounds. We are all still playing music but, unfortunately, this was just a one-off project. Hope we do this again some time.
この演奏で歌うために初めてしっかり読みましたけど、例えば "Life flows on within you and without you" ですって。 Within You Without You" ってタイトルだけじゃわからなかったです
Excellent merci 👍

Thank you so much!!💥🌠❤️🔥

Amazing cover
One of the best Beatles songs. Nice instruments and lyrics ✌👍👏
Thank you very much for the comment
Always thought the original was limited by the analogue sound technology of the day, despite subsequent digital remastering. Or maybe it was just too much on a grand scale as to loose the richness of the acoustics of that on a smaller scale. This version seems fuller sounded with better recording equipment, presumably? Or maybe just a case of smaller room, better acoustics. The habitual 'guffaw'(!) at the end is really funny. The Japanese Beatles? Ringo, John, Paula & Georgina. Always a favourite song (universal hymn?) of mine from way back. Hot wires me to my carefree youth. I'm sure Yoko Ono would approve of this rendition.
Thank you for mentioning of the recording. Actually, this was quite limited. We played with just these four members, without the rich orchestra in the original. This was a one-off live performance with just a Zoom R24 portable recorder. We're from Japan. I would say John, Ringo, Paula and Georgina.
It gives me a huge gigantic smile, like a rainbow with a clearly visible sun. Thanks!
Excellent! I'm really happy to hear that. Thank you very much!

No matter what your age is, good music is good. I'm happy to have this opportunity to cover this good music.
Wow !! That was really well played ( EVERYONE) was spot on . I would love to hear it played with each string instrument plugged into amps instead of mic’s because some sound a little under powered . Great performance !!!
Thank you very much for your comment. Actually, I recorded this live play with an MTR and mixed this version. In the work, I might unconsciously want to highlight the sitar and esraj by hiding my guitar behind the tanpura sound.
Agree with all the comments having grown up with sgt peppers. Many thanks.
Who plays the tanpura? Where is it? Was it pre-recorded?
@@celosemnexo Tanpura sound comes from an app in iPad. I think machine-played tanpura is a kind of standard today.

And that amazing melody reminds me the great singer and guitar player George Harrison!!!
