    I understand what you are describing as “anchoring”, a resource, and yes it is a valuable tool. I agree not all clients are well suited for exposure techniques, but those who are deeply disturbed by trauma, often do benefit from a “feel it to heal it” approach. The subconscious mind is after all the “feeling” mind, and in most cases those affects are the glue the amygdala uses to affix repeating patterns of unwanted behavior, or response. Exposure therapies such as EMDR, and EFT, if done correctly can open a clear path toward healing, and I often use them first session to establish the best direction to guide the client.

    I have met many therapists over the years but never observed the composure and wisdom I see in you. The depth of understanding the problem and practical solutions are impressive and offer hope. This is excellent information that all makes complete sense, thank you.

    I really enjoy using hypnosis and enjoy helping clients see and feel the benefits of it. It’s such a powerful tool to use with talking therapy. I initially was never interested in hypnotherapy but since learning it and using it I wouldn’t want to be without it. It’s always useful to recap on the techniques as it keeps me motivated, many thanks.

    Thank you! This was a great video. I am self taught or I should say Inner taught, so I really believe my guides led me here. I was looking for something else & I have a client in a few moments who had a bad hypnosis experience so I can tell she has expectations for what it will be like. This video is sending me such a confirmed message on how I need to start this next session. Thank you so much for just being you & playing your role in the World. New subscriber here! 🌸😌👽

    man I just had my mind blown in the first minute of watching this video! Nothing profound really, but something so simple I wouldn't have thought of it. Maybe that was profound in its simplicity

    Very interesting. Almost sounds like me zoning out at work. I'm physically doing the task at hand but no way is my brain thinking about it from start to finish. I'm thinking and picturing many other things.

    I'm curious, would it be wise to try hypnotherapy on a client with dissociative disorder?

    • @danielbrooks5683
      @danielbrooks5683 4 роки тому +4

      In my opinion we all have a degree of cognitive dissonance, courtesy of the bizarro world we call civilization. Those who have undergone the “naming ceremony” performed by a healthcare professional, and are labeled as such, would be well advised not to accept such limiting concepts from any authority figure. You don’t need to name it to tame it, you just have to do the work, with compassion and wise guidance. Nothing can be a barrier to healing unless you make it so.

    Your manner of speaking reminds me of a Catholic priest, or, victimized person, trying to talk a murderer from murdering them.
    God, is a , comforting, God.
    One's, phases , end man. Sweets.?
    Instead of, 'Soldier returning from a war.'

    I don't agree. You must feel to heal and get to the root of where the issue resides (regression), have the client see it, understand it and then let it go. I agree with Daniel Brooks (below) that clients will benefit by feeling to heal and that it is the feeling you are going after, if it is feelings of not being enough, it is not available to me or I am different, these beliefs need to be addressed and this means the client needs to feel these emotions in order to let them go. The therapist can with guidance reframe the belief and then transform the belief using the client's information of what they want and how they imagine life to be once the issue is gone.

      You can ask the clent's subconsious if he/she is ready or needs to know what happened. If so, you can have them see it like a movie and hold a remote in their hand. This remote has an emotion up/down and the client can set the emotional response to whatever level he/she needs it to be. Or, you can have them separate out what negative memories they need to keep for defensive/protective purposes but destroy or toss away the negative emotions attached to them. You can even have them let the bad memories go down the drain, be locked up, burned, sent away, etc. Some clients are not able to remember the trauma. Some clients don't need to remember it.
