      I had a sciatic never pain issue last year. On April 4th I got up with severe pain. I could not walk for about 9 weeks. It was the worst pain ever I ended up in the ER and they just gave me a lot of medications that I did not take. I would cry everyday and just rub my legs with coconut oil mix with Frankensense oil and took Bosewellia and anica, 3 times a day. I also got massages finally I was able to walk but got this bad pain again but in my other foot. I used ice and heat. I still having pain everyday but not as bad. I am wondering will I ever be able to walk properly and do my 5 and 10 K runs

      I loved my inversion table! I have combination of problems with my back. I have scoliosis of my lower spine and my upper spine is straight. This is an old injury from when I was a little girl. It was not diagnosed until I was a teenager. So there is literally no way to completely correct the problem. Where the two parts meet is always pinching the nerves and the disc is bulging to one side. The inversion table relieves the pressure and helps me to function somewhat more normally without major pain and pain medication. I still have pain but it is not as severe.

    I love my inversion table! It has helped the relieved the pain and pressure to my lower back. I have an upper back that is straight and my lower back which has scoliosis. Where they meet is always distressed. It has a bulging disc and pinched nerves. Plus many of the othe discs are compromised. Just by using the table a couple of times a day helps to relieve the pain and the stress on my and cuts down on my need for high powered, addictive pain medications.

    When should a person with a bulging disc and spinal stenosis after they’ve tried everything, think about surgery? Yes, I’m talking about myself. Haha. In May 2022, I injured my lumbar region. Finally, had an MRI. The results came in last week confirming both L4/5 disc herniation and spinal stenosis. I’ve been to a number of chiros, and acupuncturists. Yes, I’m going to a PT now. It’s now Sept 2022, my lower back seems to be getting a tiny bit better. But, doesn’t feel like I can walk no more than 15 minutes without leg and foot pain. Mostly my “right” foot. Although I have zero pain when I cycle. Nothing. Standing and walking trigger the pain. Yes, I was a competitive hockey player when I was younger so I have an arthritic “right” hip. Left is better. I’m in line to get hip replacement. I’m 60, but very active. Or I used to be anyway. Yes, I follow your exercises as well as Dr. McGill’s. Recently, read, Gift of Injury. So, there’s hope.
    Thanks, Gary

    My BFF had this double diagnosis with sciatica and recently underwent surgery. They "installed" two metal spacers between her vertebrae. I'm worried this was an overreaction since she went to a pain clinic only. A little PT and two shots didn't help her feel better. I wish she would have seen this video first. I'm hoping for her sake the surgery will solve her pain, but she's still recovering so I don't know yet. It just seemed drastic and invasive to me.

      @@incognito326 I did a couple things. I don't do them a lot now though. First is this: ua-cam.com/video/K-CrEi0ymMg/v-deo.html It's like a weighted runner's lunge. It really helped me. Second I was doing the bridge exercise that B&B talk about. Clam shells also were part of it. I think the lunge was a major help with me though.
      With the lunge exercise I was doing inversion. Those coupled together was amazing. I felt my back fixing itself. Inversion actually made my back feel as though it was separating when inverting for around a week. I felt really weird but it felt good. It was like nerve pain when initially inverting and when coming out of inversion. I was very cautious during this time. It really helped my back though. Now I invert and do the half push-up things to maintain. My hips have caused trouble after this, but that's probably a different issue. Overall now, I just try and be mindful of how my hips are positioned.

      I now have both too: grade 1 spondy, in L4-5 and mild bulge in L4-5 . Went to a spine specialist. He has me on a 6 week conservative program: weeks 1 and 2 are meds only (Celebrex, muscle relaxant, and something from nerve pain). Weeks 3 and 4 are meds and PT. Weeks 5 and 6 are PT only. Just started yesterday. How did your condition turn out?

      You can do water therapy/physical therapy pools. It helps you gain back muscle and balance without using your body weight. It is the easiest on your body and you are able to add ankle weights or even arm weights as you build your muscles back up. You start out slow and the the water is set at a certain temperature so it isn't too hot nor too cold. I hope that you will consider this option as well. Have a blessed day!

      Vibration plate therapy. They have come waaay down in price as decent knockoffs are available on amazon. All you do is turn it on, stand on it for 15 minutes/day. Done. If very weak, start by sitting in chair, resting feet on the vibration plate. Developed to rehab astronauts, they lose a ridiculous amount of muscle being in zero G.

    I would think that once you are done with traction/decompression, gravity would take over again and your spine will return to its original shape🤔. Right?

    • @quebie77
      @quebie77 3 роки тому

      Good question. I can't answer for anyone else, but it has done that with my spine. I had complete relief when I was going to pain management and they would do the traction/decompression with a machine while strapped to it and it would slowly stretch my spine out. But when it would slowly make my spine go back to its normal position (when the time was up) the excruciating pain would come back before it completed the duration of therapy. I had this done a few times a week for a couple of years, and then, off and on over the years. I'm still at square 1 with my hips and spine, sadly. I just really hope that there are people out there that have truly benefited from this and are doing quite well. Have a blessed day!

    I'm 25 years old and have been experiencing lower back pain after working on construction. Last week I went to work with lower back pain and pushed through the whole day with it. After the long day of shoveling cement I could barely walk during the night because the pain got insanely worse. Woke up the next day the pain was still there and I had a lateral shift and I have been working on it for a week with some specific exercises and it has gotten better the pain and the shift. Now I have a bit of a pain on the front and opposite side of the shift, maybe the hip flexors IDK. Anyone know or have experienced this that can help me?

      Maybe you have tight muscles. Did you try the decompression exersizes? That helped me for a bit but it felt weird. I used my bed for this. I layed on my stomach and drooped my head over the edge. I felt gravity stretch out my back. The pain went away 2 days later. Chiropractor said i had 2 pinched discs.

      Water therapy/PT pools are the best when it comes to the old and the young alike. Almost effortless movements, exercise and strengthening without using your full body weight and is very easy on your spine and muscles and allows you to build up stamina, muscles and balance at a slower pace...if need be. I hope this helps with finding an option that you will benefit from like it has done for me over the years (even helped my grandmother after having both knees replaced and post-op rehabilitation from spinal stenosis). This chainsaw worked well to cut up a pile of cedar logs ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and stumps. I used it to cut 12"-16" diameter logs and a handful of odd-shaped stumps that were larger in diameter. There was more than enough power even when using 2x100' extension cords. Be sure to use the right gauge extension cord, since you should be using a slightly higher gauge cord than the standard extension cord most folks have around the house. My 2 favorite features of this saw over previous ones I've used are the built-in sharpener and the quick stop after the the throttle is released compared to a gas-powered chainsaw. As soon as you release the trigger, the chain stops spinning immediately because of the electric motor. Standard feature of most of these electric chainsaws, but worth mentioning here for anyone not familiar with it.Bottom line...I needed a chainsaw to get through some backyard cleanup of logs and tree stumps. For the price of renting a chainsaw for a few days, I got this Oregon chainsaw that got the work done, and now I own it for future use.
