Brain dumping. I tend to mull over situations. Especially when I don’t have all the facts. That leads to incorrect conclusions.

Taking control of your emotions - embracing them really, and allowing to recognize what matters & is worth the energy to spend on. I wrote down “Don’t let it bother you. It’s not worth it.” definitely will look at that before I scroll & suppress.

To me the main point to stop overthinking is to face the problem and find a solution to it - don't dawdle, solve it asap, if there's a problem that disturbs you, try to keep it small from a point of view, never ever let it your mind turn it to a big thing because it will lead to overthinking then anxiety.

Hi Ron, I hope you get to read this comment. I have had to learn to observe my thoughts/feelings without judging them. I’m not a fan of mindfulness or visualisations, emptying your mind in order to be peaceful seemed like a lot of effort to maintain and why would I want to be empty minded? In my faith, observing without judging has allowed me to put down my opinions and the opinions of others and really seek God’s answers in my life. This removes fear for me because He has plans for my good. It also helps me to remember that everyone needs grace! It is much less pressure than working out everything on my own. Please stay away from visualisation, it gets us focused on what we want and can pull us away from God’s desires for us (it is also a fundamental principle of the new age law of attraction). I fell for this my whole life until God took the beam out of my own eye. Take care 😊

2006 the shift happened again. I was cleaning my shed out and in my head I heard. "You know in a hundred years nobody will care about any of this...stuff." instantly I started chucking stuff in the trash. Yearbooks childhood toys pictures etc.
I had no idea in 2012 I'd be moving to Hawaii. In the letting go of 95% of stuff I created a shift unknowingly. Then the internal journey began to shine and the pains of yesteryears began to come back to me not as fear or anger or resentment but as a soft whisper in my ears "This is your Destiny. Your ancestors started the journey so you may continue the legacy. Let us go and you will be healed." The healing began in March of 1986. I was 11. March 2021 will be my 35th & 34th & 28th anniversary of winning the battle of the me vs. brain cancer.
We've all been hurt. Now is the time to let go.
Much laughter & love to all 😀💞🌈

I had issues with overthinking stuff for quite a while and came to the simple conclusion that just keeping yourself busy, is pretty much the most effective weapon against overthinking...
If u don't have a job, get one.
If u don't participate in any social activities or courses, do so.
If u usually don't go out with friends, ask them out and do not talk about it.
Seriously the more packed your schedule is A: The less you think about it and B: The less important it seems to you since you got other shit to do...
They pretty much do the same shit with soldiers in the military after they collapse or so during training just check up if you're still in shape medically and get you back into line asap so you can't think about it too much

I do not know if there exist a term for my very own version of overthinking. I am a note taker and here is my story: One day, I made promise to myself that I am to sort 50,000 words worth of notes (contents consisting of lesson learned/observations in the various areas of my life) in bullet point form that's accumulated throughout the past 3 years. Only then upon completion do I start living and continuing with what I love to do and with life. I got to working on it with the following filters on each of the bullet point and putting them into categories as well: 1. Why is this point relevant? 2. And if no why not? 3. What's my problem back then/why have I taken this down back then?? 4. Any To-Do list? It became taxing too quick and I find myself mentally-physically drained, especially on No.3 where it requires me to think about the past. I've been living like a recluse refusing to step outside for as long as I do not complete this. I do not know if I am actually listening to my instinct this way or am I setting boundaries to myself by applying these filters, but I restarted over and over at least 10 times and even introducing a new method just to cause me more confusion - 'Cause, Effect, Objective, Problem, Solution'. And now its a huge mess, been 9 months and still getting nowhere. Thank you for those who stopped by my comment, took alot of courage for me to pen this

For a better life sit on a chair, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. Slowly the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Do the practice without any expectations. Change happens from within by itself. Over-analyzing is something I have worked on for years. I love the term you used "Brain dump",....and have developed a similar idea in that I write down all the things that are taking up too much of my "thought time" and recognize them for what they are. If they do not actually hold great value then I must let them go. It is imperative that I move forward in my thinking and life. Resting the mind, just like recovering time for the body after exercise is essential. I have found the UA-cam video by Guy Winch, "emotional hygiene" to be an excellent source of information on the subject.

    Thank you for this.
I have a small sign that reads “My emotions are indicators, not dictators. “ It comes from the Proverbs 31 Bible study group online.
I believe that what you are saying is that being self-aware, we can live more productive and joyful lives.
I am aware of my overthinking and my emotions and am adapting my days accordingly.
    Forgive me if
this is the wrong place to ask this question, I have searched and not found an answer.
I believe that you have said that your poetry is self-published. I am very interested in buying a book. Where might I purchase a copy?
Thank you for your openness and honesty. Your sharing is opening new lives to others.

Visualize what can go right, I am an over thinker to the max and it keeps me stagnant in my life. Human psychology and behavior is hands-down the most interesting thing to learn about, to think/(overthink overthinking) about, and my favorite topic to talk about! And as I dig into different philosophies of life, i’ve made several revelations about this process but still seem to get stuck. But for some reason you having said that about keeping what can go right front and center in your mind to avoid the spiraling negativity that comes from overthinking and analyzing, really just clicked with me. I was procrastinating getting ready while listening to you, and got up as soon as you started talking about that! Thank you I’m glad I found you. And I’ll definitely be sure to check out your other videos

Thank you for this, you really spoke to me fr! I am an engineer, musician, and day trader, I constantly find myself overthinking and attempting to perfect everything. However, the brain dump and waiting for perfection is what stood out to me the most. In addition, I need to gain comfort with being uncomfortable and the unknown because I cannot predict the future. I also need to execute more of my creative thoughts than being worried about what could go wrong and focus on what could go right. I definitely subscribed, and I will continue to tune in. Thanks for these steps, I wrote them down and my anxiety was cured just by watching this video as I have some upcoming interviews this week and next week. This video definitely will help me to maintain my composure and aim for the heights. Thank you once again!
