Good Morning, I just want to thank you so much for your sincere, elegant way of teaching us, powerful Series, I am still on the second Lesson and I feel become a ninja, Thank you so much for spending time to teach us!! Have a nice day,Mr Andrew
Sou Brasileiro e estou aprendendo funções DAX Power Bi com você. Pude ver em um vídeo anterior onde você criava uma tabela, então nessa aula de 'Using the In Operator' 27:55 eu tentei usar os dois métodos e funcionou. Fave Directors = IF( Movies[Director] IN SELECTCOLUMNS( FILTER( Movies, Movies[Oscar Wins] >= 1 && Movies[Nominations] >= 3 && Movies[Box Office] >= 1000000000 ), "Diretores", Movies[Director] ) , "Favourite", "Standard" )
Great tutorial. One small doubt, when I am placing Oscar Success on Y-axis then it is showing count of Oscars as 6 for Genre Family but when we place Oscar Success in Legend section it is showing count of Oscars as 0. When I see the Movies data, there are no Oscars for Family Genre. In Movies data, there are 6 records for Genre Family, it is showing that count. Could you please help me in understanding this scenario.
7:39 instead of typing 1000000000, we can abbreviate it to 1e9. Anyway, this video is so helpful. Goodjob WiseOwl! :D
That's a great tip, thank you for taking the time to share it! :D
this is by far the best series to give confidence to use DAX out of so many other videos i have watched. Great work Andrew!
Thanks so much! Happy to hear that you found it useful so far, thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!

If you place Oscar Success in the y-axis you'll get the count of values produced by the calculated column for each genre. Hope it helps!
@@WiseOwlTutorials thank you 😊
20:28 - substitute Michael Bay for Uwe Boll for truly awful movies
There are so many terrible directors to choose from! :D
