Kyle, Cabana Bay is a really nice resort!! I really do think the Universal Hotels get overshadowed by Disney. I think one of the biggest requirements that I put on my personal list is cleanliness of the room. It can be the coolest room ever, but if it is dirty, then it greatly affects my stay. Older properties don’t mean that it is unkept. My husband and I stay at a little family run hotel in Sevierville, TN and it is a little dated but it is ALWAYS clean!! Btw, I think you should go to Dollywood!!! It really is a neat park and they are in the process of adding even more attractions to it!!! Road-trip!!!! Also, I think you are talking about Portofino Bay, right?
hey Kyle! there actually is a lazy river on a Disney resort property. The Yacht & Beach Club share a lazy river (next to Hurricane Hannah''s I believe) & it's beautiful, especially during the sunset

I stayed here while “working from home”. It was great to have coffee while getting work done outside then heading to the park for the evening. Love the retro feel. Would recommend.

The Hilton at bonnet creek has a lazy river but it’s not really Disney but, it is on property
It looks like a nice resort. I am glad you are doing some reviews of the resorts both on or near Universal and Disney. The room is nice. Very colorful on the one side of the room, a little bland on the other but it looks like a really nice room. Maybe someday you could do a review of some of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd near Disney Springs. There are some really nice hotels there along with the Swan and Dolphin. We came to Cabana Bay in 2019 for the first half of our honeymoon, we stayed for 7 nights and loved it. We were very impressed, especially as its a value resort!
Cabana Bay and Sapphire Falls are my two favorite resorts at the moment, great value and awesome atmosphere!
We loved Cabana Bay! The alarm clocks are a blast from the past along with the V05 toiletries.
I love Cabana Bay! One of my favorites. The Volcano Bay view rooms are nice but their music starts soooo early in the morning. Plus you can walk over to Sapphire Falls and ride the water taxi. Hope you enjoyed your stay!
Yay! This is the only universal resort I’ve stayed at. We loved it! The lazy river was amazing, although if I remember correctly they do charge you for the pool rings, but you get to keep them, fun souvenir! I think they also played music underwater, it’s a great hotel!

The 50’s Beach Resort theme is amazing! 😍
I stayed with my family right before the pandemic. Loved it. Loved the retro vibe and my sons reaction to the payphones in the hotel. I especially liked seeing the retro soap and shampoo and conditioner. I haven't used V05 since I was little! The only thing about the resort that got me was how BIG it was... and having to walk that property after long days in the park was tiresome. I did love the fact that it was right next to Volcano Bay so it wasn't a long walk when we had our water park day. Loved the video!
I've gotten the Volcano Bay view room at Cabana Bay and I HIGHLY recommend it. Absolutely gorgeous view, especially at night. Our upgrade price wasn't that bad honestly, but maybe that's changed. We also had the Orlando Informer Meetup group rate, so that helped.
Same, for some reason they gave us that room for free with no extra cost. It was so nice.

The perks of Cabana bay is the 2 pools and Lazy River, tons of food options, fun retro vibe, and the bus is like 3-5 minutes to City Walk.
I like how opened it is and letting natual light shine through.... yeah, it low key dose look like an airport i can see what you mean. It looks very nice though. Thank you for the tour and enjoy your staycation!

Cabana is the best especially during HHN! Love the pools! So glad you had a great staycation.
We have stayed here a couple times and we love it! Close to the parks, big rooms, nice pool areas and we liked the food options available. We took the buses but you could also walk across the street and take one of the boats from the other resort. One of our favorites.
Stayed at Cabana Bay shortly after it opened. Great resort considering the cost and size of the place. At the time, Universal had just started clearing land for Volcano Bay. I actually recommend the walk to Islands of Adventure. It's a nice stroll through a shaded path that ends right at Margaritaville in CityWalk. Keep an eye open for a map of the running path if you want to go for a run in the morning. BTW, they have a massive gym just past the bowling alley.
We love staying at Cabana Bay, Starbucks, bowling alley, pools, arcade, you can just stay here for a several days and have a blast.
Cabana Bay is hands down my family’s favorite Universal hotel to stay at, we’ve been staying there since it opened! The aesthetic and atmosphere is so perfect, it feels like a second home at this point. You definitely paid a bit on the higher end, usually we can get a family suite for less than what you paid for that room (you should absolutely try and stay at a suite in the future, they’re gorgeous rooms). So excited to see you stay at our favorite!
Nice hotel Kyle. I still think most of the resorts in Orlando are pretty expensive. I guess I go to Las Vegas a lot and I’m just so used to the hotels here being much bigger and nicer for about the same price. I think we are spoiled in the west coast with all the lavash Vegas Hotels. Over all, it’s a very nice hotel indeed.

I stayed at cabana Bay 2019 when I done my solo trip, I loved the resort I loved the theming of it the bayliner diner the pools just everything about it, very chilled vibe at cabana Bay I would love to go back there again. I didn't have volcano view I had carpark view but I had a bit of a view of one of the big slides

Nice! We were just there for 3 nights the beginning of March. The walk to the parks is great! Two days in the Universal parks, with the first day being a 2 park VIP tour, so we could rope drop Islands of Adventure on day 2 but not have to rush because we’d already rode everything the first day.
I would stay at that Universal Resort because there's alot to do there and I really love those classic cars in the beginning of the video also I'll go to that water park as well! Great Video Kyle! 😎👍🏻
I’ve stayed here a few times! The food in the diner is great and there’s so much to do! Wish I could pick it up and put it on Disney property so I could stay there more often!

we have stayed there several times in the tower with a view of the water park and I drive attractions. For us it's breakfast at the hotle and dinner at city walk.
While you’re there, I highly recommend riding on one of the Mardi Gras floats. It’s a ton of fun!
Myself, my older son and granddaughter were there for Halloween Horror Night last November. We had the view of Volcano Bay. LOVED our room and that wonderful view. Spent 3 days at the parks including Volcano Bay. Can’t wait to go back. Be sure to checkout their bowling lanes and their chicken wings are to die for. Enjoy!

Tip: Ignore the “No crossing road” sign, and walk the 2 mins to Saffire Falls and take the boat

Universal hotels are by far the best I’ve stayed and experienced being in Orlando! Definitely worth the value! I can’t wait to see what type of hotels they do for Epic Universe 👁👄👁 🪐 💫
The walk to the park from Cabana Bay isn't bad and it's a beautiful walk!!! Definitely recommend doing it, and the trails all lead to all of the resorts so it's fun to walk around all of them, especially to Portofino just to enjoy the scenery and then catch the boat half way back!
We’ve stayed there a few times. From our first stay we always get a “jetson’s” vibe. The best perk of staying there is definitely being footsteps away from volcano bay … also fun fact. We just got back from our florida vaca and we stayed at mark’s place at margaritaville. Same one you filmed at so thank you for the link to that. 👍👍
Dont forget Cabana Bay has 2 hot tubs and an awesome gym. And only a 15 minute walk to city walk and the parks!!!!!!

Great video! Your rate was very high. I've never paid more than $200 per night. And with the annual pass holder discount I've gotten rooms for around $125.

The thing I like about cabana bay is that it’s walking distance to volcano 🌋 bay and has a nice view from the room
Beach Club and Yacht Club have a lazy river along with a sand bottom pool.
My friend stayed here back in 2018 but the rest of us never made it over to see the resort - we were at Sapphire Falls. Wow, nice place - I get a 50's/60svibe. Lots of space in the room & and an Icee station, OMG!! seeing the volcano from the pool is cool. Frankly, you could have a vacation just at the resort.

Of the resorts Ive stayed at, this was my favorite, I really loved the retro vibe. We loved the pools and the hot tub. The food wasnt bad, we liked the Cabana Bay burger the best.

Love Cabana Bay!! Hands down some of the best resort theming down to the soap. But the WiFi is horrible unless you pay for the upgrade.
My favorite hotel. I love the theming and the vibe. You can turn on firepits yourself, we always get a Smores kit. Hideaway colada is awesome!! Seeing the Volcano at night is very cool. Lazy river is the best.

I stayed in the new towers in Aug 2020 for $112 a night and blessed due to Covid my view was the Volcano. My son and I would just walk to Volcano bay
I’m from uk, stayed at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando in 2007 was amazing so close too the parks and fast track pass was great loved it. Is Hard Rock the hotel you haven’t stayed at ? Haha it’s the only Universal hotel I know
Kyle! The food and atmosphere at Galaxy Bowl is great, I would like to see you and friends eat and bowl there then go to the room next to the arcade during HHN and see what Halloween themed attraction they have going on.

If you're looking for a great value if you are bringing friends or family, I just stayed at Dockside in a 2 bedroom suite for 178 a night. Was well worth the price.
We were there in March before our cruise and loved it

It’s not that old of a hotel. The portifino is the oldest (not value though )
