- Sonic Rivals is one of only two Sonic games for the PSP. It was a 2D racing game but with characters on foot instead in cars. Honestly, this game is just so forgettable. There’s nothing technically wrong with it, but there’s also not much truly good in it. It’s just fine which can be said for Charriii’s video as well. Aside from some contradictions, his video is about as memorable as the game itself. That being not very memorable to begin with.
Do you guys think Sonic Rivals should return in the future, or do you think it honestly ran out of steam after Rivals 2?
I haven't played either game so I can't say much but I think I might check them out if I get a psp

Yeah, his last appearance in a Sonic game was Rivals 2, and hardly anyone talks about that game.

Well, the actual reason I’m tackling Rivals after Rush is because the 06 video is going to be gargantuan. I wanted to get this shorter one out of the way, but sure, I can vibe with your thoughts.

0:00: Your intro doesn't have much going on. That's probably because the game doesn't have big cinematics.

5:37: Even when it is the poorly dubbed series, it's still annoying. He labelled his Undertale dub that, but the male characters were mostly fine, while the female characters... I'll get to that rant when you get to his Undertale video, which makes the joke fall flat.

Whoever is doing Eggman's voice is a really good Dean Bristow impression.
Also I have some predictions as which Final Bosses will be the best and worst
Best: Death Egg Robot, Metal Overlord, and Solaris.
Worst: Metal Robotnik, The Time Eater, and Dark Gaia.
I have an idea for 06 you can divide it in 2 parts

Charriii also seems to have forgotten that Chaos isn't in the Master Emerald anymore, if Sonic Adventure 2 is to be believed. And if the argument is that it "exists across the space-time continuum" as this game states, then it's still wrong because that only applies to the Emerald itself, not Chaos.

@@FreakinSweet1987 Because I was inspired by Th3Birdman and OmegaBlackHeart who do these kinds of videos against CinemaSins and Dartigan respectively. Plus, a lot of the problems CinemaSins has carry over to Charriii’s videos as well.
Wait if you’re doing them in release order why’d you skip Riders and 06? (06 came out a couple weeks before Rivals)
I know that. I skipped it because of Riders iffy position in the timeline and 06 being an absolute monster of a video.
@@tonysonic456 riders is probably non canon and I’d say both Rival games occur after Rush Adventure as it wouldn’t make sense for Eggman Nega to betray Eggman, them to tema up again and Nega to betray him again

@@tonysonic456 I guess I just can’t imagine Eggman being allowed to make legal businesses if his list of crimes are the same as the rest of the series. Also it makes Team Sonic and Amy EXTREMELY irresponsible in Riders 1 if this isn’t Eggman’s first time after the Emeralds
The “jokes are only jokes if thier funny” thing has never made sense to me because even if it doesn’t work, its still a joke. Also to be fair, tails voice pre 2010’s was sort of annoying and it maybe possible charriii can’t really do tails’ voice well intended or not

Well, it came out after Rush, and Generations does make the order of the games kind of clear, save for a handful.

@@tonysonic456 yeah Sonic 06 was such a bad game so as such Charriii5 has a lot to sin and as such you have a lot to counter especially with every scene involving Mephelis.

I didn't even know Charriii did non-comedic dubs with someone other than himself. This changes his horrible voice of Tails from "bad but understandable cuz he's the only character voiced by a woman in the Rivals 1 video" to "dude please just ask someone to voice Tails >_
He was many times even called out for that voice in his streams, I dunno if they were Tony's fans; Charriii replied that he was going through puberty, therefore he couldn't do a more high pitched voice for Tails.
But you know, I actually have a suggestion myself, not only for/directly at Charriii, but for every other man who feels like dubbing Tails: what you tried dubbing Tails with a mix of high pitching and a hoarse voice? I even tried it myself, therefore I approve of this technique.

Also, yeah, when i got to this part, i was thinking like "No, we know Shadow has his Chaos abilities. Since we discovered that the Chaos Emeralds have unlimited power/transform your thoughts into power, Shadow could have very well used this orange projectile(which is the Chaos Spear) to make the fan work.". Probably wasn't exactly what i was thinking, but yeah, something like that.

5:31 Next time you sin his Tails voice, could you please make it short? (Like "Chariii's Tails voice, still bad" *sin*) Because you really didn't need to ramble about it again for almost a full minute, especially because you already made it evident that you're not fond of it on the Sonic Battle EWW and not only did you elaborate further into it on the Sonic Rush EWW, but part of what you said here was also there (sorry if this comes across as cynical).
Also, in Chariii's Sonic Rush EWW, someone pointed out how he got a voice actress for Blaze, Cream and Vanilla but didn't bother for Tails and Amy, to which he replied with "Can't break up the classic Poorly Dubbed cast. :D" which indicates he didn't actually intend for you to take these dubs seriously, so there's that. (Also sorry if there's some sloppy English here.)
That’s a weak justification. He probably just couldn’t do the voices without making them sound unbearable. Also, the reason I went on that extensive tangent is because multiple people keep telling me to stop sinning his Tails voice which I will never do.

I must say, Sega’s been making a lot of typos and errors with standard English for a company with Autocorrect and, assumedly, employees with a second grade reading level. Also, Silver trusting completely untrustworthy people who look like the embodiment of pure darkness, he would never do that would he? Also, I don’t think Chaos Spear should do that. Chaos Energy is a limitless power supply, but Chaos Spear is treated as Neutral Elemental, or Neutral/Fire-creating in 06, but not Electricity-creating, and throwing a power source at a defunct piece of machinery would, most likely, cause some sort of minor to major explosion, kind of like the one that happened when Sonic put that password into a door, which is a good trap but not the most sustainable practice all in all. Next, the wording on ‘for now, I’ll help you protect the future’ does imply that he’ll only help him protect it for until they’re done, then just stop helping protect the future at all. Next, a certain other series makes me wonder, what’s it like being trapped in the cards here? Because in this other series, it’s basically treated as death by some sort of magic, or an unreversible sealing that’s the same as death for all intents and purposes, are the alive creatures just unconscious, or are they awake and aware? Not that I’d want to be sealed away and all, but it would be interesting to experience for sure, as long as I can reverse it and I’m not made deceased. And finally, the usual, comedy and humour are 100% subjective, not objective, stuff you find funny others may not and vice versa, so saying ‘that’s not funny’ or whatever, is not a foolproof, well thought out, unblockable uno reverse card or anything, since it could be funny to somebody else. Anyhow, can’t wait for the next one that I’ll be late too like usual haha
First, Silver only trusted Mephellis because he had a potential solution for getting rid of Iblis. Silver and Blaze had been fighting Iblis for who knows how long, and it's done NOTHING. Of course, they would jump at the chance to end it. Also, the Chaos Spear just needs a suspension of disbelief.
Correct, Silver only trusted Mephistopheles because he perceived his solution to be viable, which led him to Chaos Control, if only he’d lasted a little longer, since Sonic and Shadow were right about to do that, and there’s enough Emeralds here to deal Iblis away, counting the one Mephiles had, which is a shame he didn’t know about Chaos Control or the sealing abilities used by the kings of Soleanna, which I’m sure is all stuff that would possibly be available, were the town not the way it was, especially since records of Shadow’s abilities would have to be somewhere, since they managed to seal him away too in that timeline. And as for Chaos Spear, sure, and his documented IQ of 200 probably helps with that, he’d probably know exactly or even somewhat how to use his innate abilities for most possible uses, and not how to make them all go beautifully up in flames yeah.
Yeah I was never really a fan of both games but they’re not bad, but not that good either like you just race or to beat your well “rival” ha get it ok and the reason why youre doing this makes no sense but atleast the graphics look awesome

Sonic Rivals is pretty underrated and it's definitely a worthy game for PSP collectors in my opinion!
And as usual, Charriii's points are pointless and super wrong, it makes playing Sonic 06/Project 06 more worthy than wasting my time on his frustrating videos tbh.

@@kizensanimations7540 Yet another Charriii5 defender come to chew me out. First of all, I can respect other people’s opinions as long as they have good reasons for having said opinion. Second, I make these videos because I was inspired by other people like Th3Birdman and OmegaBlackHeart who do the same but to CinemaSins and Dartigan. Third, that disclaimer is as flimsy as a wet noodle since he’s constantly making genuine criticisms and pointing out what he believes are plot holes. There may also be jokes, but they’re vastly outnumbered by the criticisms. I still watch him however because I do like some of his content. He just gets on my nerves sometimes.
