06:11 LOCK LOCK ORIENTATION LOCK FOR MILTON Gauge So if anyone else found themselves here, b/c they couldn't locate their manual and were trying to figure out how to lock the screen orientation... This vid is for you! Thanks a bunch to the op!
You are my kind of dude, putting that otter box screen on! I know this isn't cheap but that accuracy is everything with today's sensitive tire monitor systems. Can't have people coming back to shop five minutes later after dropping 700 on tires.
You should have started with the cost which is $200. I own a midsize company and that's too rich for my blood even. $50 maybe $75. For $200 I'd expect automatic pressure filling off my compressor.
Wow, does it even come with a certificate of calibration (to NIST)? Looks like it has good repeatability and has high resolution but with no calibration its no more accurate than any other gage. You can see it is a full PSI off from his onboard computer. OK which one is right? Doesn't really matter how much it costs in the end.
Bought on Amazon and returned same day. Very cumbersome and awkward to use. There is a very large button screw on the bottom covered by a rubber flap. I discovered air leaking out around the threads. I attempted to remove this nickel sized button screw to fix the leak - couldn’t remove it. It was a bad leak. The screen is awesome though but hated everything else. Tools are meant to make life easy this tool just added to an annoyance.
What can cause the digital tire inflator to stop reading the tire pressure and how do I fix it and make it read the pressure again,it still works but it just does not read the pressure like it used to do,it is showing 00.
I like this but a bit spendy for my needs. I will have to stick with my AstroAI Digital Tire Pressure Gauge 150 PSI 4 Settings Car Truck Bicycle Backlit LCD Non-Slip Grip I got for $10.
I bought it awhile ago because of their "industrial quality" [false] claim. I am not a tire shop and used it on my personal vehicles maybe - MAYBE - a dozen of times. Now it's dead - even the screen won't light up, even the light! Bottom line: as others have mentioned, it's a convenient concept and junk quality. Oh, did I mention it's grossly overpriced?
@@bzeug Their warranty is just as miserable as their product - one year. Mine is a little older than even though it was barely used. Also, I read a review on Amazon - the guy had a newer one that died, contacted milton and was instructed to send it to them for inspection. On his own dime, of course. He did, and never heard back - they never responded to his emails so it fell into a black hole. Very reputable outfit... NOT!

No swivel on chuck lock, some tires it's necessary and makes things easier.

Wow $175 is what I got my kit for
Ah! I see they have finally come down in price, and on Amazon now too.
Do you know how to set the screen orientation to change from vertical to horizontal and vis visa.

In your video, you appear to hold the chuck on the valve stem. Doesn't the device have a lock-on chuck?
Yes it comes with a locking chuck which I did not use in the video but have been using lately and I really like it.
@@bzeug Thanks.

I hear ya. Its crazy money for a tire gauge.
the s-568 is fine for me. esp at $66
Just picked up one up today for $171
Good review. Can you send me one of these? I can't afford to buy one...
Do you know if the 588 model also comes with a kit.
The S-588e "kit" is just the inflator with only the dual head chuck on it. No other chucks. amzn.to/2LRnXM1
Is there one that beeps when you've reached your desired psi?
I don't know if other Milton inflators might do that, but this one does not.

Yikes! Mine still works. Are you going to call Milton for warranty support?
