I am trying to identify an engine I took off an old Toro 524 snowblower. Would it be possible for me to send you a pic of it and you could tell me if it is the same type? I'd like to rebuild it all nice like yours...but in red ;)
their will be numbers stamped across the top of the shroud (under the starter plug if it has electric start) which will tell you what model. But the 5 in 524 I think means its a 5 hp 24" machine. and yes that is a an air cleaner, it is a stock Tecumseh part.
