Please take note that if you downloaded the game via Steam, the file path may be: Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > The Sims 4 > Game > Bin > TS4_x64
If anyone has mods in their game and this happens then the mod has severely corrupted your game. I had to delete *all* mods, repair my game, and then reinstall all of my games for the sims 4. If anyone suspects this is their issue my advice is to not install any mods or cc older than this year, that goes for the future as well. It is a huge hassle to go through.

Y'all the easy way to do this is delete sims 4 and install it again but (B4 you install go to document>Electric Art>sims 4> then then place your mods folder on desktop screen if you have mods then take out your saved folder and put it on desktop if you want your saved households. Then u just try install sims 4 and wait basically:)

From July of 2021, this solution still works. not just this game but for many games and apps since Windows Defender blocks them just like this.

if you still have error, download origin. I dont know why maybe sims is attached to origin even if its cracked but it worked for me.
