So in other words have a concept/project and you keep refining it for a hundred days? I have been drawing for about 9 months now and i am still pretty bad at it. Should i just say screw it! And just draw what i want to draw or studying? Because i feel like the reason i havent gotten very good or even subpar yet is because i have skiped alot of the steps that you need to have rock solid before you get into the advanced stuff like Anatomy, gesture and faces. Should i have it as more of a side hussle to do for fun next to my studies?

I think you are too much obsessed with 100 days drawing challenge and with 'no specific goal'. I am a strong believer of goal specific drawing challenges. For eg I am gonna focus on anatomy for next 30 days.
I agree. You will improve drawing with no specific goal for 100 days, but you will improve WAY FASTER with a specific focus challenge.
Absolutely. Yes, you will improve with a specifc goal. I often have a focus for my 100 day rounds. But advice needs to be contextual.
Goal specific challenges is a piece of advice for people who have a standardized habit of drawing.
Most people are not there. Most people dont practice regularly, let alone with a focus. It's trying to master two things at once.
And two, 100 days is a LEAD. The act of picking up a drawing challenge will 'lead' to one thinking about other important things.
I've made a video on why 'simple' pieces of tactics like "just draw" is actually a good way to approach art.
