Alot of people dont realize that just because the price converted to USD is relatively cheap, its doesnt mean the price is cheap compared to what workers are topically paid in japan
In my country they usually do nails for 2600-3900 yen if I convert it, more expensive places do them for 5000. So for me they seem expensive even though I live in our capital city. 😅
@@catmerchant8699 that's for nail art as well usually. If you get plain short nails it's cheaper at some places, other places ask for the same price still when you get nail art or just plain nails, it just depends on length how much they ask for (at least at my nail tech and the ones I used to go to).
a same exact set would’ve only cost me $15 in my home country. it really depends on the living cost of each country/city. i lived abroad and i had my nails done there (a solid color with extensions) for $42. for some paying $80 for nails is the norm, but in other places they’re usually much cheaper
Don't trust nail techs that don't have their nails done, honestly. Every time I got some done by someone with out even a clean/clear look on themselves, my nails turned out trash and broke/fell off within days. my techs who had their nails done, the work looked amazing and lasted forever!
@@kaileenimbut remember it’s also gel x which is made for self application. It’s press ons with a design.. so you’re only paying for the design really.
As a celeb press on nail artist myself-- your prices are suuuuuupppeerr reasonable. I strive (and am) the same with mine (depending on the difficulty of the set). Lovely work! Would also love a tutorial if you haven't made one already.
GIRL!!! Those nails are $120 & $150 sets here in the U.S. for Gel X nails. You need to raise your prices. You worked hard to get that good and school wasn’t free so get what you’re worth!!! ❤
I never have my nails done because I don't like the feeling of having something stuck to my fingers but that second one is so pretty that I would endure it just so I can look at it anytime I want.
hi! I have two questions 1. Where did you get your organizer? 2. Also, how do you sterilize your instruments? As well as the bits? I saw a heat sterilizer on Amazon, but not sure if this is the right thing to purchase
hear sterilizers are good! just make sure to watch each tool with soap before putting it into the sterilizer. my steps are 1. wash 2. sanitize 3. heat sterilize
WOW that is cheaaap for extensions + nail art. Your clients must really love you, that work looked SOLID. I don't know how you're able to charge these prices while based in Tokyo, I know thats an expensive place to live!
the median income in tokyo is higher than in the US 😭 but if the average manicure in japan is more affordable, then yeah it’s expensive. you’re right that it’s 100% relative.
This is amazing! In America, a lot of home-based nail tech overly price, their nails, and on top of that they have so many rules that aren’t fair to the client. I had a nail tech time that didn’t allow people to use her restroom.
Some impromptu styles take hours to do, I can't believe they don't let their clients use the bathroom 😮🫠 If they don't want strangers messing up their bathrooms, they can always just include the extra charge that covers cleaning and/or basic toiletry use into cost of the whole service. But damn. I can't imagine paying for a 2-3 hour work with no toilet break.
Alot of people dont realize that just because the price converted to USD is relatively cheap, its doesnt mean the price is cheap compared to what workers are topically paid in japan
As a Japanese I swear she's not charging enough. In Tokyo those designs should cost at least 10k.

Because getting nail art are considered luxury vs the regular manicure. There's really no correlation between different salaries and luxury service.
@@lkkgthats for a simple set

ONLY 57usd?? I've seen simple two color gel sets (w/ extensions) go for at most 90usd ! And they're so gooorgggg 😍
That’s more than $25 an hour, she’s earning good😅
It depends on what country you live in. I live in Europe and mine is less then 40 $ 😅

I think it’s conversion rate, Japanese yen is quite weak atm
When I went to china my grandma paid 42 usd or 300 rmb for extensions and a hand drawn design
Need a tutorial for both sets! 😍
Sameeeeeeeee
YESSS
the last color set is SO gorgeous with her skin tone
I love the fact you use soft gel tips, they are so good on the natural nails
Omg these are beautiful. You’d get at least $100 usd for each set before tip where I live in the US
compared to Japan you'd have to spend twice as much (if not more) in the US for the cost of living.
Compared to "Americans" we Asians have different currency
@@sansebastian9875they know
@@sansebastian9875?? What??? Really?? Just Asians? Wow!!

this is considered expensive in Japan given that more intricate nail designs go for around 6500 ish

Wow, so beautiful and so much more affordable than in the US. Just gel with SIMPLE design, not even extensions, costs like 80!
Its very reasonably priced compared to canadian prices. Also, I heard the cost of living in Japan is much more expansive than in Canada....
theres no shot it’s more expensive than Vancouver though - maybe the Yukon 🥹
