That was weird i really expected some hating, like I didnt expect this people to be so open lol props to you, not for liking the thing i like but for being so open and breaking this hate rule
The great thing about this track is that the first verse is spoken from his (logic) perspective and the second verse is spoken from his older brothers perspective.
Man, this is crazy. Watching the first video and seeing how far the channel has grown. Both of you have become so much more educated and open about music and it’s refreshing to see. Great job lads
I think that Under Pressure (the full version) would be a very good video to react to, it is one of the crucial songs to his career in explaining who he is and I think you guys would like it
I'm wary of labeling anything a masterpiece but Under Pressure (the song) is absolutely the crowning achievement of Logic's song catalogue. It's...perfect, considering who he is, how he came up, and how the song develops and morphs and tells a story from multiple sides. So I definitely cosign the Under Pressure suggestion.
Very interesting one to start with on hip hop, i've never listened to Logic before but i'm really liking it so will probably give a bit more of it a go. Thinking about another Hip Hop artist to try out is Mos Def , possibly the song Hip Hop. It came out back in 99.
I advise you to only listen to Logics older work if you like this kind of stuff. I’m a huge fan of his but his latest album was really disappointing. Stick to his albums Under Pressure and The Incredible True Story, or any of his old mixtapes.
To give you some context, this song was actually written from the perspective of his older brother. These are scenarios and thoughts that his older brother had encountered growing up. "Hope my little brother make it out" is talking about himself. Knowing that, and relistening really does something amazing to the song, seeing how he is able to paint a vivid story and mind process from someone else's perspective.
@@nadeem5006 Paradise is my favorite logic song. I remember my life long ago in my adolescence, I could feel the presence in my residence, hesitant, even though it was evident.
And I'm here again lol. One of the best reactions to Logic, even more from people that are not from hip hop. One of the best reactions just by the sincerity and respect in the way you said things, and even more, to notice what is The Game for rappers: flows, beats, bars.
Can’t believe I made it to your first video! I let these run 10 at a time or so. Crazy to see how your tastes have expanded and the channel has grown exponentially!
You guys should react to KAAN - Kaancepts! But you'd need the lyrics up on the screen because his vocabulary is insane and his flow is really dope, goes really fast when he raps! Subscribed, you guys'll be big on youtube!
His rhymes go hardest on That's That imo. Beef Rapp also, as well as the already mentioned figaro/accordion etc. (though I don't vibe with the beat on accordion)
I really like these, I'm not trying to hate, just want to educate what I know which is that he never stayed in foster homes, he lived with his mom until 17 then left and got 2 jobs while living in his friend's basement. Keep up the vids!
The first half of the song is Logic talking about his early life and seeing crazy things, such as cops breaking into the house and coke being all over the place, and the second part (after the news reporter) is the perspective of his older brother, hanse the bar “Living Life Like This, Hope Little Bobby Never Fight Like This, Stab a Mother F With a Knife Like This” Bobby is Logics actual name and in the second part of the song the brother is talking about how bad he wants Logic to do better than him and he hopes he doesnt follow his foot steps. This songs has 2 peoples perspective to it. Piece of art! Favorite rapper alive! Logic!!
You guys can also react to one of his newes songs called "44 more". That song in my opinion is just 🔥🔥🔥. But I'd like to see a "metal head" react to it. Liked the video, keep it going you guys.
Its Blezzii For old RATTPACK fans, "warm it up" is going to be, without a doubt, there fav. song in the mixtape. Is just Young Sinatra maaan.... So good...
Its Blezzii Same feeling for me dude.... It honestly reminded me of how much he has evolved and improved over the year, and has come a really long way man. Also 6ix, to me his right there with Metro Booming and RonnyJ in production, hell I'd argue his better and more unique then them.
New to you channel and this is the third video I've watched from you guys. Love what you're doing! I may see you already have, but if you haven't, would love to see a reaction to NF. He's got a lot of good ones to listen to with depth to his lyrics. Keep up the good work!
Hey guys this is a rad video! I was listening to the song and your video played next. As for what you said about probably may not be a gym song. I personally love this song when I'm designing. I'm a graphic designer and love to throw this track on and just jam out, it has a nice flow and helps me with my work flow as well. Keep the sweet vids comin.
Love your channel being a mix of metal and hip hop suits my tastes! Check out some British hip hop such as jehst, loyal carner or the very talented spoken word of scroobius pip!
And i would recommend you to get better sound system, will be a lot more enjoyable when you can enjoy the music in good quality at the same time! Great work, keep it up!
I love the fact they chose this song to start off, perfect choice in my opinion, John have you heard his older music such as Young Sinatra III, numbers,, etc?
I heard you say 50cent being a club rapper which I could understand you saying. But I would love to recommend listening to the song "Many Men" from 50. Or "patiently waiting" is another classic. He has more than those 2 songs but that might give you a new perspective.
Not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet, but the first verse is from Logic's perspective and the 2nd verse is from the perspective of his older brother. "Hope my little brother make it out, every night what I pray about." Edit: Yes, a bunch of others did say this already. My b. Great video. Subscribed.
Good to know is that he's rapping from his brother's perspective, as Logic wasn't a drug dealer himself. His real name is Bobby and within the verse he references "Bobby" as his little brother.
First verse is young logic rapping from hiding in his house. Protecting himself from inside “sitting on the rug”, and the second verse is his brother, hoping “bobby” (logic) would never fight like this” hoping logic would find a way out because he never had a chance. His brother wanted logic to get out because he never had a chance in his mind. It was “the life he was given” and logic had the choice to get out
I believe this song was written mainly from the perspective of his brother. So basically when the song is called "Gang Related", he does not only mean all the consequences and chaos that are related to the gang life, but also how he was related to gang life growing up because of his actual relative-his brother. So Logic is "Gang Related"
Fantastic reaction! Really entertaining, you guys did a great job of pointing out stuff in the song that I wouldn't have noticed because I was focusing on some other element. It would be fun to hear you guys react to something by Damian Marley. As a metalhead, I really dig his angry-driving-political songs, like 'Confrontation' or 'Caution.'
this song is about logics brother who was a gangster, when he says "i was sittin on the rug" he's talking about being a child but when he's talking about murdering he taking the mindset of his brother who was a drug dealer and had to do some unsavory things
I think you have to show Simon something like Protect Ya Neck by Wu Tang Clan. I think almost every metalhead I've met, regardless of whether they like hip hop or not, can appreciate just how raw something like 36 Chambers was. Also definitely recommend Blacker The Berry by Kendrick Lamar and as far as the UK goes, I thoroughly recommend Kate Tempest - Europe Is Lost. Tempest is more of a poet than a rapper, but by god, what an amazing song. Her whole set at Glastonbury was incredibly powerful.
Been loving this Logic Marathon you have been on guys. New SUB. Great stuff. I got something for you to try. It's like a live cypher kind of rap thing. I think you will like em. They are Twin Cities underground stuff. DOOMTREE is the band and check out FINAL BOSS, or THE BENDS or BOTH done live on Audiotree live. IT's good stuff.
Under Pressure 9 min Version is still the best track that logic is known for by the oldschool logic fans, really would appreciate you checking it out ! 🔥
I would love to see your guys' take on something that sounds nothing like metal from Logic. Please react to Like Woah. His flow is amazing on that track. You guys have earned a new fan along with a sub! Bring on the great work!!
The best thing to do is to show him that Vox's video titled "Rapping desonstructed" so he can get a quick crash course on how to listen to rap. It is one of the most amazing (and well produced) videos on youtube and essential viewing for anyone that listens to hiphop or music in general. Lots of Logic fans (AKA RattPack) your views are guaranteed to go up if you do a Logic marathon, his whole Under Pressure album is a banger
True.
Yeah the RATTPACK are relentless in supporting Logic so beware the pros and cons
Bobby Tarantino was probably one of my favorite mixtapes
Yes! Thanks!!

Is that terrible for me to think that guy on the left looks like Johnny Sins smh ahahahaa
Nyks a lot of people wont know who that is😂
Nyks That nigga is the doctor, the professor, teacher, step dad, and step son he could do everything he should be well known lmao
Scrute- boi we all know who that is
I guess ease up on watching that Brazzers xD
Same tbh
The great thing about this track is that the first verse is spoken from his (logic) perspective and the second verse is spoken from his older brothers perspective.

Man, this is crazy. Watching the first video and seeing how far the channel has grown. Both of you have become so much more educated and open about music and it’s refreshing to see. Great job lads
Under pressure (full version) by logic is a masterpiece IMO but super long, if you want something shorter try Soul Food or role call also by logic
I think that Under Pressure (the full version) would be a very good video to react to, it is one of the crucial songs to his career in explaining who he is and I think you guys would like it
I agree Under Pressure is his number one song in my book, exact same word to describe it a masterpiece.
Agreed under pressure is a masterpiece

Under pressure isn't a masterpiece. Like so many other songs on the album the concept is stolen from Kendrick
React to Dead Presidents 3 by Logic hes very lyrical in it and its a banger
Rock Reacts also try growing pains 3
How do you define lyrical?
Adrian H imo rhyme scheme, metaphors, punch lines and double entendres
Eminem - Mockingbird.
A beautiful Hip hop song and great to introduce a newbie to the beauty that rap can produce.

Knowing that, and relistening really does something amazing to the song, seeing how he is able to paint a vivid story and mind process from someone else's perspective.
The first verse is logic and second his brother ...
As I am, Man of The Year, City of Stars, Overnight, Nikki, and Young Jesus. All by logic obviously.
GeoIs God city of stars so lit
As I Am got me through some shit a few years ago

Simon listening to logic, wanna know why? *hits head* here's why
I'm a simple man. I see logic and I subscribe... do growing pains 2 or under pressure (full version)
Used to think all metalheads were goths and live in caves eating bats but my opinion has now changed, you two seem cool haha
Simon from what culture??
killa 703 I THOUGHT THE SAME THING What the actual fuck??
i was waiting for him to do the head slap thing
I was gonna leave the exact same comment
Update it literally is him
I just found this channel and it’s so odd lmao I wonder if other viewers know about that

Here since 1.3k, gotta be known when they blow up
U guys are my new favorites!!! Good reaction!!!
Nothing but respect for you guys. This is amazing; the way you react to the fist time listening to Logic.
You all get your point across very clearly and that is rare to see. Your channel is going to grow a lot.
You guys should react to KAAN - Kaancepts! But you'd need the lyrics up on the screen because his vocabulary is insane and his flow is really dope, goes really fast when he raps! Subscribed, you guys'll be big on youtube!
Under Pressure was Logics best album
You guys should do the follow up for this album, no pressure. Specifically gp4 or dark place
The guy to the right looks like Macklemore
PS1 Hagrid and the guy on the left looks like Johnny sins
Paul Babas i did not need that
Was looking for this comment :D
Subscribed! Fantastic reaction, and as a Metalhead myself, I can't wait to watch more!
Do Randy orton's theme song. Lol

Awesome video! Love your discussion over it and connecting it to other things; really great analysis👊👍
You guys will hit more than 100k subs by the end of April if you keep it up
I would start with MF DOOM. He's a british rapper. Born in the UK but raised in New York. Or Mos Def.
Rock Reacts MF DOOM has usually short songs so you could listen to Figaro, accordion or meat grinder.

The best thing to do is to show him that Vox's video titled "Rapping desonstructed" so he can get a quick crash course on how to listen to rap. It is one of the most amazing (and well produced) videos on youtube and essential viewing for anyone that listens to hiphop or music in general.
