    Really impressed with the sound of a single overhead, snare, kick, and no tom mics.

    very very good! But i don´t understand when you have a highest quality drum set to use like ten pieces of tape at the head. Why not using thicker/dryer heads without this ugly kind of muffling in a video ????

      Some people are saying that it wasn't his set because I was thinking the same thing!

      1. It's not his kit (he plays Natal Drums if i'm not mistaken)
      2. Judging by the badges this kit is one of DW's lines dedicating to the straight ahead players that prefer higher tunings.
      3. Muffling is always a preference sometimes thicker heads are too thick for what one is hearing.
      4. it could also be the room that caused the need for all the muffling.

    Those drums don't come with die-cast right?

    • @creamwarrior
      @creamwarrior 8 років тому

      you can get die cast rims for about 50-60 bucks a pop, so about 400 spent at least.

      +Jabarichonicles yah I actually bought die-cast for a couple of my snares, but it turns out that die-cast's come on some of dw Jazz series. Weird for Dw right?

      I've seen them around. They can do it in house for dw at least.
