@@valenteochoagalindo5283 atsumu means that it took all of those grueling matches for hinata's body to start feeling truly exhausted and sick from the overexertion
I remember that one old (i think) comment of Furudate, the author of haikyuu said when talking about the importance of food and self care esp on this scene: *"No matter how much effort you gave in, no matter how active and strong you are, when you don't take care of yourself then strength is nothing, You're still weak. The importance of food and rest (self maintenance) that kept getting highlighted every time, this is the result if you don't realize it's importance."* I found this comment very true and a very eye opener, I'm always used to Hinata being very lively and full of energy but that moment and this comment made me realize that in this series, there's no such thing as super powers, they are all humans that can get sick and tired. I think this moment was really needed to happen, Hinata has not been very careful in taking care of himself (eg. practicing more longer, not eating when told to eat on match breaks at nationals, watching matches instead of resting etc.) and I really think Hinata later realized what was wrong and through this experience has managed to change massively from what we have seen more after.
It broke my heart, then kageyama's back story will broke me again. Dang, this show brings joy, sadness, pain, happiness, all, to my life! Thanks Furudate, this is such a masterpiece. Thank you for giving us, Hinata Shoyo, the whole plot himself.
i am happy cause once this show is over, i will have a complete haikyuu binge experience available to me whenever i wanna have a rollercoaster of emotions, this anime/manga is gangsta level of awesomeness
you guys, please understand that it is an anime and that they can’t always win and win. at some point there will be a downfall. and that is shown here when hinata falls and gets a fever. but it doesn’t end there, i pray that it will get animated and hinata will have his time to shine over a 5 year timeskip 😃 edit: i know no ones complaining but i’m just putting it out there :,)
Manga spoilers below . . . . . . . . This moment is exactly what built the way to make Hinata a true "monster" after the timeskip. He started to take it so seriously that I think some of the most emotional parts in the manga are the images showing the books he was reading about nutrition and muscle physiology, obviously along with his scene meditating. He already knew the idea of "taking it easy" on court, but the fever was a warning sign that clicked the maturity to develop it off court as well. This is such a great writing from Furudate.
SPOILER I love this scene particular because in the manga the Karasuno members on the court were trying to play at their best to show that they aren't going to lose to Hinata and that they are also strong players. Also, about Hinata getting a fever is a big deal because his body still had that excitement from both the Inarizaki and Nekoma match so he overwhelmed his body by not resting and eating well enough. I can relate to this because when your body is moving in perfect form your instincts responds by exciting your body so you can move more. However, if you don't take care of your body by resting or eating then your body becomes overwhelmed. I might not be right but that's how I view it since I've been playing volleyball recently and it happened to me as well.
when i read this part : ( big ass tears, hand covering mouth, feeling very frustrated and sad, shouting encouraging words for hinata to stand up ) when i watched this : ( ^ but 10x more depressed ) me probably when it gets officially animated : deadass sadder than that time jack died in titanic🤚😎
This is spoilers for the haikyuu!! manga a little bit later atsumu and the tiny giant ( the one hinata looked up to) both called hinata a monster on the court
I can imagine Hinata giving everything he got to stay on the court. "Coach I'm fine, I'm not hurt. If I underperform, you can bench me. But I can STILL jump, please coach... Please..." And all their faces knowing that he can't stay on the court.
Furudate tried to find an excuse to make karasuno lose the match. I didn’t like how hinata suddenly got a fever though. Having an injury was more plausible, like they did with sakuragi in slam dunk.
Shoyo didn't caught a sudden fever. After their match with inarizaki, he didn't take a proper rest. He was staying in the bath for a long time and he couldn't fell a sleep at night. He was so excited to play with Nekoma. Karasuno has to play two matches in the next day. During the matches, Shoyo jumped up and down many times and in the second match the exaustion took his body over. The thing Fururdate want to show us is these little things we think that are not important in life piles up on us and gave us some serious damage at the end of the day. I personally think the fever he caught taught Shoyo a very good lesson. He finally understood that taking care of health is one of the most important things in life for him to continue playing volleyball in peak condition.
i remember reading this and feeling crushed, but honestly it was a great ending to the nationals arc. nationals are brutal, not only are they mentally tiring, but they are EXTREMELY taxing on the body. they play matches every single day without a break. one day is not even enough to settle after a long match when you're all tired out, but nationals go one for a week. so of course as a young teen who was working out really hard for days on end, it was only natural that if hinata's mental strength wasn't depleted, his body certainly was going to give up first. i think a lot of people really underestimate how easy it is to get sick when you're at these kinds of sport events, mostly because most of us watching aren't athletes. and it's kinda jarring to see a series like haikyuu really ground itself in reality with things like diet, sleep, etc. all of the mundane parts of sports that seem obvious, but they're super important. and to neglect them, especially when in a sport, can lead to various injuries. i just really enjoyed this part because it reminds me that being an athlete is more than just playing your sport well, it's also heavily dependent on how well you take care of yourself in order to play the most.
I didn't understand. What is wrong with him having a fever? What is with the manga? I don't care if there are spoilers, can someone explain what is happening in the manga?
So this is what happened. Hinata having a fever is really a big deal. They have him to remove from the game. Resulting of reducing the karasuno's best scorers. Removing Hinata from the game will make karasuno's winning more difficult. But for Hinata it's not winning that matters. He still wants to stay longer to the court. I reccomend to just read the manga because I suck at explaining. Gomen
I actually think that he's already sick after the match from inarizaki match since he skipped eating at that time. It's showed in the anime that he's still pumped up even though the match was over. So yeah. He's already sick in vs. Nekoma match and kamomedai.
I Really like the way you reanimated previous scenes that were in haikyuu, I noticed that hinatas receive was actually Noya receiving ushiwakas serve, and hinatas dun jump was from when hinata and kageyama were practicing together, and the jump itself was hoshiumi. Extremely creative stuff.

It wasn't adapted yet since it will take place in season 5.Probably it will happen in the episode 24 of that season.
