    What does everyone think of the countdown?!
    Couple of answers to some comments...
    - This is shots at ATP Tour events, we don't own the rights to show Grand Slam footage
    - This is just the 2000s decade so 2000-2009, so that's why a shot from 2015 isn't in there 😉

    •  4 роки тому +2

      And we are extremely biased towards anything Federer.. (no offence to Federer or its fans but biasedness is always disgusting)

    I love the reactions from the players! Moments like these are what makes tennis a wholesome sport despite the masses of argumentative fans out there. That smile from young Roger like "heck yeah, I just did that and I'm proud" after No. 46 just radiates good feelings! And Ivanisevic's shirt gag, young Novak's confidence and humbleness--it's almost like he was discovering his talent as he played out points, and was in disbelief when we won them--and Hewitt's high five...I'm already having a grand time five minutes through the video!!

    2000s was such a great and diverse decade! You still had Sampras and Agassi, then all "new balls please generation" at their peak, and Nadal/Dj/Murray/DelPo emerging.

    • @alan713812
      @alan713812 4 роки тому +8

      BrunoPuntzJones84 exactly. In 2010s we saw that except Fed all his peers were gone/retired and then total domination by Nadal/Djok/Mur and only slight emergence of “next gen” which didn’t really show any results that are even remotely close to their peers in early 2000s.

    • @masters.1000
      @masters.1000 4 роки тому +15

      It was the best. You won't see that anymore, the kind of variety of styles that Fed's generation and the ones before them had.
      Mid 2000s had the best prospects: an amazing N1 like Federer, all kind of great and different players like Nalbandian, Safin, Hewitt, Ljubicic, Haas or Davydenko, and the best generation of young players like Nadal, Berdych, Gasquet, Tsonga, Wawrinka, Djokovic, Murray, Del Potro, etc.

    I would like to see the best shots of this decade.

    The Nadal-Djokovic rally of the Madrid Masters in 2009 when Djokovic was on match point with the ball bouncing and spinning and both players grunting until Nadal rips a clutch forehand and then lets out a roar was probably the most savage rally of the 2000s. Starts at around 5:30 in the video.

    Such an awesome compilation, this channel has put out so many great videos over the last couple years. I have to say though, #38 (5:27) deserves to be higher. Arguably the greatest 3 set match of all time, nearly 4 hours in, and Nadal saves match point with that? One of the all time points not at a major (which is what these videos feature since majors aren't atp events). Crowd just explodes after Nadal's winner.

    Ridiculous that Rafa on 2 and Fed on 1. That type of rally by any player is absolutely unseen. God level athletism, the mentality to chase the ball when it appears it's impossible to reach it. But he reaches the ball. Still he had to hit it with his back facing the net and the ball almost on the ground but he comes up with the most ridiculous shot ever(better than any tweener ever will be). Basically it was everything in a relatively short Rally. It should actually be 1. Rafa 2. Cuevas 3. Fed
    This is not hate towards Roger, but the truth.

    Too bad the shot from Monfils vs Ljubicic at Queens is missing

    I watch Monfils at #22 and I just can't compute how someone can run from A to B to A that quickly. Mind boggling. Also like Murray's at #28, unique shot.
    I think Feds overhead lob Vs Djokovic in 08 USO deserves a big shout, surprised not to see it in there.
