what does this mean? "Germany rework wont be part of the next update?"
In 1.50, SCS reworked Rhine region of Germany - 4 cities: Duisburg, Dortmund, Düsseldorf & Köln
This will not be merged in ProMods 2.70 - so you can't play in SCS reworked Germany in ProMods 2.70

@@JimmySlacksack yes, it’ll be same, as with WB DLC. You ould have to wait untill 1.51 to explore reworked part of Germany. Until that, with PM, older parts will remain. (As we have old PM Croatia, in 1.49, and PM 1.69) J
Considering Switzerland and the West Balkans will be merged with the map, it will be worth to wait. After all, you can always update ETS2 back to a former update to keep playing on the promods map.
Didn't realize a video with this info exists... awesome stuff. Of course, I'd like it right now if possible but its good to have at least some info on it. So glad that West Balkans will be included now. I had to run a separate mod for it
Bit disappointed to not see the new Germany rework in the next promods as I wanted to finally see the A67 and the A40 connection but I guess I’ll have to wait🤷♂️

Hopefully someone will make a merge mod just like with West Balkans
@@gamerbob934 If they can make a merge mod they should join ProMods because our team with 10+ years experience is struggling to merge it.

@@babymetalenjoyer it's a common situation actually, most of the map DLCs are compatible but not required for a few promods versions after the release
I don’t play without Promods, so will stick with 1.49 for now.

this is bad news is the same issues going on when doing paintjobs on trucks and trailers and ai traffic as that is what i work with doing mods for both ets2 and ats?
Will the promods 2.70 for ets2 1.50 take place at the beginning of June, mid or end, more or less? And will the Greek dlc be implemented before promods 2.70 or after?

@@Blackaman0 I don't have a problem with ATS and always get the Canada promods just we need more cities in Canada that's for sure but yeah ETS2 on promods is amazing it got that thing i always enjoy going back to the game
@@scyzorpl I know that, but I just mean bad Truck in America because in Europe truck is quite and very nice than America because America allows truck up to 110 km that is not fun for me.. only Europe truck is allowed up to 90 km/h enough for me...
but in America folder and Promods folder is no problem for me... that's why!

Considering that i have to use a 3rd party mod to make the whole West Balkan DLC work with 1.49 for a while (strange that other people can make it work in far less time than PM), i am sorta used to by now, that with Promods dev cycles now are totally behind for quite a while. I rather stick with 1.49 for now anyways, since I am also waiting until more of the mods i use are working with 1.50. So as much as I am excited for 1.50, but I stick with 1.49 for now. No Problem for me.
Promods Development aint what it was once anymore....
That third party mod was broken, and above anything an abuse of political motivation (have a look at Kosovo in detail). Our border crossings for the BLKW area will have a lot more detail than the quick hack mod.
@@ProModsETS2 Well, that Mod works fine for me, and I didnt have any crashes or dead ends since I got it, and thats a while ago.
And tbh, I dont play the Game to be political correct. If that was the case, i would probably also have to remove RUSmap from my current mods, considering the whole Putin situation. The fact is, that guy might have not done the same quality work you guys (at some point) would have had, but considering how long we're waiting for you guys to add the West Balkan DLC, I think this is fine.
I remember times, where Promods wasnt so late when it came to adding / integrating new SCS DLC. But since West Balkan (October, 19th, 2023) is released, you guys sure took forever to put that in.
And at least with this "3rd party Mod" (which is what Promods is as well, at least I can already enjoy a lot from the West Balkan DLC. Your reaction is pretty much what I expected from a, lets compare you and the guy who made that "other" mod, the big company vs. the little guy.
It's not his fault, you guys need that long. And its not, that you have a monopoly on anything that comes out from SCS regarding DLC. He was just first, and maybe his wasnt perfect, but at least his one cculd play and not wait over 6 months and more.
Btw, if people like me wouldnt love PM enough, we wouldnt go through such length and need to use mods like that one. I could also just play Vanilla. But since for me PM always was, and always will be, essential to enjoy ETS2 (or ATS) as much as I do, i guess i have to use what I can in order to enjoy new SCS releases, and still be able to play with your awesome mod.
I mean, there is a reason why I havent switched to 1.50 yet, not to mention that every new SCS version, when Promods wont work after that for a while, I always rather wait and play PM with the previous version. I think that should tell you how much I love your "3rd Party" Mod as well. :)

If you now see only the complaint out of my words and not the rest, you clearly havent read it correct.
@@OLDM4N-DE On average it takes six months to add new DLC support for ProMods Europe. If you look back at previous ProMods versions when new DLCs were added you will find that this is quite commonly the amount of time it takes. We don't simply overwrite sectors like the other mod you mentioned but we carefully craft new areas, new landscapes, build realistic border crossings and in some places update our own content in order to seamlessly connect to the new DLC. We more or less completed the BLKW merge in late March/early April, but we have further considerations to make before we can push out a new release. When releasing a new version of ProMods, our userbase expects us to add new territories and a lot more content than simply a DLC merge. Another issue with new DLC releases is that a large part of the community does not buy the DLC immediately, which is a fact you probably have not considered. Once we release ProMods 2.70 we will most certainly get a lot of negative comments from people who say that they cannot afford the new DLC and are now angry because they can no longer play ProMods. We can give them the reason that they have had six months to prepare for this moment. This is also a very common theme for users who play ProMods on TruckersMP because once we add the DLC support, it will become a requirement and they will no longer be able to play PM on TMP without the DLC. We do not have any issue with other people developing mods that plug into the ecosystem, but we do have an issue when it is done poorly with low quality landscaping and particularly when the mod causes crashing issues that people then redirect towards us for support. I hope some of this gives you some better context as to why we have chosen the current approach.
@@ProModsETS2 Well, all that said, I still had no crash / issue with the Merge Mod as of yet. So I doubt it's all the mod's fault. But you might know the approach, when you know that you want to have something, and you know, at that time you cant afford it. Let's say a nice car. You know, right now you dont have the money. So, if you really need one and want to have one, you get a 2nd hand vehicle for a time, just so you can save the rest until you can afford the better car. Not much different for me with this Mod. Just in this case its not about money, but the result is, as I would like it, I cant have it, because you still are working on it. For me, it's a no brainer to take like that Merge mod, especially since in my own personal experience with it (i cant speak for others), have no problem really with it. And until you guys release Promods with all that in, it's that what I use.
I dont judge the guy for not being maybe so good in modding as you are, but for me in that time, he made work what I wanted to see (which is the DLC) , without missing out on Promods. Will your next Version have much more, sure. Can I live with that til then, using that Merge mod, sure can.
As for the motivation of some countrie's way of putting in cities different, or naming things different, I never was in that area anyways in real life. So would I know the difference, no. What issue is it with me ? Taking that route, i probably shouldnt drive anywhere in ETS2 in Russia, no matter if Vanilla or with a map mod that extends Russia. And as much as I hate P***** for what he did and still does, making me not drive in that area in a game, won't help or disturb anyone. Considering all that, i probably couldnt go into a lot of countries in the game, because the more you go east, the more crazy people run these countries and the more horrible things you see. ETS2 is not a shooter, so it's not some macabre kink to play games that play in certain countries. I just drive through them in a game.
I dont know the motivation of the guy making the Merge mod, but as long as he isnt putting a lot of "Heil *****" signs in his mod or I see other really offensive things, I dont think its a problem using it.
So, whenever you guys come out with a version that includes at least the last DLC, i am in with using that version of Promods for sure. Until then, I use the other Mod, since it gives me at least the overall experience I otherwise only could get, playing vanilla. And that ain't gonna happen. ;)
Modders gonna have to update ther modds to 1.51 when it comes out im back at 1.49 till tha fix the issus

Promods ist detaillierter als SCS, Ich meine guck dir mal Wiesbaden und so an. Bis hoch nach Düsseldorf. Die ist einfach mega geil gemacht, da kann SCS Einpacken
Naja, von SCS ist es halt sehr einfach gehalten.
Es gibt kein Schottland, kein Island, keine kleineren Inseln. Außerdem auch keinen Mittleren Osten. (und vieles mehr)
can you use the The Great Steppe without the rest of ProMods? Because its crushing the game when I tried.
You can, yes. You also need to activate the FLD mod that is included

I usually play on older version or move to ATS until ProMods is updated. There's no ETS2 without ProMods.
Its sad that scs doesn’t help promods even they see how many people love this mod..
SCS actually helped us finding a solution, for a Problem, which we couldnt fix. And this help, might give us a boost, so that ProMods 2.70 might still Release in early June
You say that as if SCS has any obligations to help them. That just seems rude.
they don´t have anything to do with them, except supporting each other for their works, extra with a collaboration or partnership it would be more people,extra resources means cost goes up including game price

for now yeah but they will merge their work with SCS later in the future, like what they did with iberia
