Katie, so wonderful to see you come back. Babies are an awful lot of wonderful work, aren't they? Podcast when you can, and don't when you can't. It's your life and your show. Do what is best for you and your FAMILY. Much love.
Welcome back, Katie, I've missed your creative and inspiring podcasts, but be sure to take care of yourself (and Posey, Emrys, Roly and, and , and....) first and we (your followers) will see you when we see you.
Don't feel bad at all for taking a break. You had a HUGE life change with having a baby, crazy birth story or not lol! It's completely understandable that you'd need some time for your family and yourself to recover and regroup. I'm super happy that you took the time to share with us what's been going on, and excited for future content from you! I think one video a month sounds super reasonable and I think most of your viewers will be very happy with that! I've been following your Insta and love that you're still able to spend some time making things despite parenthood. I'm expecting my first baby this December and am so scared I won't have any more time to knit/sew/crochet afterwards, so it really gives me hope to see you're still able to while juggling parental duties. Again, thank you for the update and I'm super excited for next year!
I am so glad you and baby are fine! What a difficult experience! One of the most helpful things that we did in child birth class was to write down the worst thing that could happen in the birth experience along with our ideal birth experience. I think when you imagine what the worst possible thing that could happen, it makes you much more thankful and accepting of a less than ideal birth. I am happy for you and your family!
Bless your heart! Birth story! My water broke first after having to have had an exam by the doc. Water broke in the car on my way home. Then I get me stuff together and get to the hospital. After 16 hours of hard labor (contractions horrible!!!), I was still only at 4cm dilation so had to have a c-section. I’ve always regretted my having to have had a section instead of vaginal birth, but at the time, it was such a relief just to get the baby out and get rid of the pain. Now this was all way back 1982!!! I don’t think I’ll ever forget that pain! Anyway so great to see you!
What a joyful surprise to see your podcast today!! I'm probably older than your Mum, but I have enjoyed watching you on UA-cam for the last couple of years. Love your take on sewing and knitting and you helped me rekindle the flame to pick them both up again. I am sorry that you had such a difficult delivery. I had a similar experience 40 years ago (Yikes!!!). The bottom line is your are fine and your baby is fine. How very fortunate we are to have such great medical care so that even when it goes all wrong, we still get a good outcome. Keep sharing your great energy and authentic self with the world. It matters.
Sooooo very glad to see you back. Happy to accept graciously any content you create, whenever you can. Take care of yourself and your wonderful family. Xx 💕
Welcome back you were very much missed. Congratulations on new baby and career. Enjoy this new phase of your life looking forward to hearing from you monthly. All the best.
You are so strong. So strong. What an amazing mother Posey has. Your birth story is intense, and your generosity in sharing it is important and inspiring. Thank You for sharing your time with us with this podcast. You are loved by so many, and for good reason. It’s such a treat to see your podcast again, and to know you may be back monthly soon. When my son was younger, I had time for watching only one or two podcasts, and yours was my first and most necessary. I can’t wait to check out your/Emrys’ audio podcast! 🧡
I'm glad you shared your birth story. I also had a birth which did not go "as planned" and I think it is important for expectant mothers to hear about these challenges and the resulting happy endings. I will gleefully enjoy any content you create and wish you and yours the best.
Welcome back Katie! I nearly fell off my chair when I saw you had made a video, it was lovely to see you after all this time. Of course all the Mothers and Fathers out there would know you were busy! Lol....
Hi Katie. It is Thanksgiving here in Canada and I am thankful all is well with you and your family and that you are back!!!! I have been knitting for just over a year and a half and gone back to watch all our episodes! Thank you for such uplifting inspiration.
I am a circulation clerk in the bookmobile department at my library. Glad you're enjoying it. It was such a nice surprise to see your video pop up. Welcome back!!!!!!!
I learned a lot. Great podcast. I gave birth to three daughters , the oldest of which just turned 40. I am a librarian and three of our daughters are also librarians. It’s a great profession and one I enjoyed very much. Glad you’re back. Looking forward to following you when time permits.
Welcome back. What a hard time you had with your labour. So glad you are all doing well now though. I look forward to your podcasts in the new year. You most definitely should look after you and your family first but it's still lovely to have you back on UA-cam. X
So glad to see you're back on your channel! I follow you on Instagram and have been wondering if you'd feel like hosting the podcast again. Becoming a mother is so lifechanging, it takes a while to adapt and feel like ourselves again... congrats on the new job and all the wonderfulness in your life
I completely understand how you kind of felt robbed of the birth plan you wanted but so happy to see you healthy and enjoying your baby, all of you three👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This is my first visit to your UA-cam channel. I enjoyed your sharing. Concerning your job...things happen for a reason. You may find yourself in a better place. Congrats on your daughter, Posie.
Hi Katie lovely to see you back. I had cholestasis in pregnancy too. I didnt experience with my first two but did my last two pregnancies. I had it for 2 months with my son and he had to be delivered at 34 weeks. He was fine after a night in oxygen. I was closely monitored with my youngest. Everything went well up to 30 weeks when I had to have emergency cesarean. Grace was in the baby unit for a month but is now 19 and studying fine art at uni. So glad all ended well for you all too. ❤
Welcome back it's so good to see you. You look great! I'm glad you are enjoying being a mom yes parenthood is one of the best jobs a person can have. I'm also glad you are enjoying your new job. I know how enjoyable working in a library can be. I was an assistant librarian while I was in college. I can't believe it's been almost a year where has the time gone? You are looking great! I'm glad that you and Posie are doing well even though your birthing experience was not what you planned. It never goes as planned; I have had three children each birth was a different amazing experience, but none of them went as planned. Enjoy all the little moments with Posie because they grow up too fast. My youngest just turned 29 years old this month and I feel like it was only yesterday that I was holding him in my arms. Glad you are back once a month podcasts are fine with me because you spending time with your family is more important.
Oh my goodness Katie...how have I only just discovered your channel? Talk about late to the party 🤦♀️. It's lovely to hear you talking so openly about your experience as a first time parent...it really resonated with me. My daughter is 4 now but I can still vividly remember all the challenges, ups and downs of those early days. It's tricky to find a balance between being mum and being you but I'm sure you'll get there...I know I've found a good balance now although it took a while. Looking forward to following your journey. Big hugs 😘
Sorry you had such a hard time with the end of your pregnancy and delivery! But now have a beautiful daughter! Glad to see you are coming back. I missed your podcasts! Well wishes and future success with all things in your life!
Hi Katie. So lovely to see you back, and congratulations on becoming a mum to little Posy! Things do change, and a new chapter begins, sounds like you are embracing that challenge, and looking forward, good for you! Looking forward to catching up with you each month. Take care.
WELCOME BACK! YAY! You have been missed. Thank you for sharing your birth story. I'm sorry it was so difficult, but glad you and baby are doing well. Looking forward to your monthly podcasts. Family first! Congratulations and welcome back.
I have missed you so much as someone who has had mental illness for most of my life I was drawn to your channel when I first started watching podcasts I have watched ever episode you ever put up just because your bubbly personality makes me feel better. I am so glad everything worked out for you and that you are healthy and happy and back with us.
So happy you're back Katie! I'll look forward to your once a month videos beginning in January. Take good care of yourself along with your sweet little Posey, Emrys, and Roly. Enjoy your job as a librarian (I am also one). It is very fulfilling.
I am so glad you are back, missed you very much. And I am happy that you are happy and everything is alright with you and your little girl. Can't wait until January to see you again regularly.
I cried over your birth experience. Beeing a mom of a one year old myself and having had a quite "normal" birth, I can't even imagine what you were going through. So glad it turned all out well and the two of you are doing great! Sending you hugs and kisses and looking forward to all creative content you're going to be sharing with us in the future! ♥
Well Katie you certainly do not do things by half. So glad all is ok now and you look so well. A new life, a new job for you and Emrys as parents and a new place of employment for you, how interesting a librarian. Looking forward to January to see you back here in your own time .
Katie it was so wonderful watching your podcast today. I am behind but will soon catch up. I am thankful that you, Posey and emry made it safely through Posey's birth. The pics that you have shared shows that she is a very beautiful little girl. Your job change is a blessing keeping you closers to home. You have no need to apologize to ANYONE about podcast ingredients monthly. You, your daughter and your husband should always come first. I look forward to seeing your next podcast. Take care and may God bless you and your family.
It is so good to hear from you again. Thank you for sharing your story. You are an incredibly strong woman. I'm so glad you are doing well and so are Posey, Emrys, and of course Roly :o) Take care of yourself and your family. We love you and will be here whenever you share with us.
Your birth story is so like mine (many years go now). I am so glad you have the courage and the platform to share your story. Nobody tells you about these things when you’re pregnant. I know it only happens to a ‘select’ few of us - but maybe sharing your story and letting people know you can get through it (though it doesn’t seem like it when you’re in the middle of it) can help others. You did this in a very dignified way. Well done you - respect 👍👏
Yay, you are back! You look great. Hope to see more videos. Oh, I do love your new glasses. Parenting is a day at time. Every child is different. God Bless you guys.
Hi honey. I'm glad you took the time you needed. Your birth story rang many bells of my daughter's birth and completely understand being discharged after your baby (post birth haemorrhage urgh). I'm glad you reached out and got help with your mental health. It's important. Looking forward to whatever you feel like sharing whenever you do. Btw, love the Instagram updates of your lovely mum and bub.
Lovely to see you again Katie and to hear your life updates. That is so MUCH to process in one short year. I'm so glad you're ok and that baby Posey is well. Goodness, what a scary birth story. Look forward to whatever videos you are able to create.
So nice to see your smiling face! I always appreciate you sharing your real life experiences I think it helps us all. Congratulations to you and your beautiful family. I look forward to seeing your monthly content.
Just getting back to watch youtube. Been so busy @the same time as you. Need to get my inspiration back; a knitting video pop up started me to look for yours. So wanted to hear the news about the birth. For a moment I thought I wouldn't find you.Glad all turned out well,I never had the pleasure of motherhood, but so excited for you and Emerest. Thanks for sharing the details, sounded scary, but intetesting. Glad your health is improving, the kidney is nothing to play with.U know you'll enjoy every moment!!!! Look forward to your future videos.
THREE DAYS?!?! My first child was induced because she was overdue. The EXACT same thing happened, constant contractions, and they were piggybacking (one on top of the other). But they stopped the IV synthetic hormones around 7pm the same day. I had a couple of hours rest, and went into labour on my own. I can’t even IMAGINE going through that amount of pain for that long. You did the right thing. The absolute right thing, for your health. Birth plans are great, but the bottom line is having a healthy mother, and healthy baby. Much 💕 💗 ❤️ to all of you.
Welcome back. I am glad that you and your sweet family are doing well. You had some very big lessons learned throughout the birthing process. Good thing you went for mental health treatment. Take care and lots of love from WA state.
What a wonderful surprise!!! So glad you and Posey are well! Thank you for sharing your story. I will welcome any and all content you are able to produce :) BTW-you look amazing...healthy and happy :)
I'm so happy to see you back. I am sorry to hear of all you went through during childbirth. You were blessed to have such wonderful people to get you through. I am also happy to know you have a healthy little girl. You will have a bond with your little one, that is unshakable. You have an amazing family. Enjoy every day with your family.
welcome back! it is so good of you to tell your story in such an authentical style - 27 years ago i had a very similar experience and feelings after my first child was born / eclampsia/csection etc Getting it out there is so important!!
So glad you are ok! anything you want honestly, i am happy with whatever you decide is best for you. So grateful you shared your experience, and again so glad you and baby posy are ok! excited for you, too, and your baby. Prayers and love to you
Welcome back and well done!!!!! Your birth story is amazing and will help others who’ve had similar to know it wasn’t just their experience. I am very much looking forward to 2020 and your monthly podcasts!!!! Yey 🥰
Welcome back Katie, you’ve sure been missed, but after all you’ve been through I’m glad you’re alive and everything’s going better again, take care, looking forward to January. ❤️
Welcome back....so lovely to hear your story and glad to know you are well. I have been following along on instagram. congrats on your new life and enjoy each moment.
Welcome back Katie! Cannot wait for the new channel format to kick in, it sounds wonderful. Posey is adorable! (I'm an insta follower too) so I must say I'm hoping that she will put in an occasional guest appearance. 😉 All the best xx
Yes, I have missed you but I've kept in touch through Revelry. You are a great person, a good wife and a good mother to Posey and Rolly. Every time you hold Posey you will forget the discomfort you had during your last few days before your beautiful daughter was born. Your future plans sound great - yes, life changes after having a chid. I'm certain Emerys is there with his support and love, your Mom is forever giving of her time and love and Posey loves you forever as well as Rolly. I look forward to anything you have to offer your viewers. You know how much we all LOVE YOU!
So lovely to see you back Katie, you have really been through the mill but great that you can look at it in a positive way. Absolutely happy to watch whatever you put out, whenever you put it out there. Look after you, Posey and the lovely Emrys (and Roly of course), fancy saying you have no creative content! You have a whole new life to report :)
Welcome back!! Wow what an experience for a first birth. I’m so glad you came through the other side with a gorgeous baby and your health!!! Posey is adorable 💕Luckily I’m still watching your older podcasts so that will last til January....look forward to the new ones!!
So glad to see you back. Not going to lie, will miss seeing your weekly podcast, but you have got to do what is best for you and your family. Thank you for sharing your birth story. It may not have gone as planned, but like you said you made the best discussions for the situations and you are all happy and healthy. Looking forward to seeing what happens inside number 23 in the future! Best wishes!
Hi Katie. I have been thinking about you. Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl. I really understand what you went through. I had a similar experience with my first baby. I know you were disappointed that you were not able to have your planned birth experience. Please don't apologize for your decisions. As women, we put so much pressure on ourselves to do a bang up job at everything, when the truth is, we do not have total control, nor should we. You did great!
So glad you posted. Having a baby is a truly life changing experience. Thank you for sharing your birth story. I have 4 kids and each time we had to throw out the birth plan and just deal with the situation as it happened. So happy that it all worked out and that you are all healthy and happy. Take care of yourself. Happy to see what you’re up to when you’re able to share! Congratulations on your beautiful family and new job!
Welcome Back! Your plan sounds great. I love a nice full video. I hope you get a chance to start a knitting group at the library. I work at a library and lead the knitting group. It is my favorite part of my job.
Yay. You're back. I've always enjoyed your podcast and will be looking forward to seeing what you're getting up to creatively again even if it's not as often as before. I'm also really heartened to hear that despite your birth not going as you planned that you were given enough support and information to make informed decisions about your care. I'm a student Midwife and love birth stories so this video was right up my street. Wishing you and your family all the very best and look forward to the next podcast. Xx
So glad to see you back. 😊 Thanks for taking your time to come back. We have missed you. ❤️🇺🇸👵Sally

Thanks for sharing the details, sounded scary, but intetesting. Glad your health is improving, the kidney is nothing to play with.U know you'll enjoy every moment!!!! Look forward to your future videos.
Just found you and loved your account of your labor and delivery. Will be coming back to see more. :-)
Welcome back!!! Don't feel you need to apologize for the decisions you make for you and your family! Your friends will always be here.
Welcome back. I am glad that you and your sweet family are doing well. You had some very big lessons learned throughout the birthing process. Good thing you went for mental health treatment. Take care and lots of love from WA state.
Wow a dream job! Oh and welcome back, waiting for your new videos, whenever you post them

Welcome back Katie! Cannot wait for the new channel format to kick in, it sounds wonderful. Posey is adorable! (I'm an insta follower too) so I must say I'm hoping that she will put in an occasional guest appearance. 😉 All the best xx
Nice to see you again, an happy that it all turned out great for you and your family!!!
I really understand what
you went through. I had a similar experience with my first baby. I know you were disappointed that you were not
able to have your planned birth experience. Please don't apologize for your decisions. As women, we put so
much pressure on ourselves to do a bang up job at everything, when the truth is, we do not have total control,
nor should we. You did great!
Katie, I truly missed you. I’m happy to see you so happy. Family always comes first. Looking forward to future podcasts😊
Welcome back, you were missed. I am so happy you came through your medical trials. Please know your visit will be welcomed anytime you can broadcast.
Xx
