    Thank you I've watched other stylish say this product isn't for black hair and relaxer are 🤔 but I don't want a relaxer again it takes too long to wear out or grow out .
    I think I'll give the keratin treatment a try again thank you for this video.

    I had this process down a few years ago. I loved it at first but it killed my curl pattern and I had to transition back. Was that because of the product used? Is the keratin something you can do for a long time?

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  11 місяців тому +4

      I would say it was most likely the product used or using too much heat during the process. Some treatments still use formaldehyde, which breaks down the hair over time.
      The treatment I use is 100% formaldehyde free and uses plant based ingredients, so it more gentle on the hair.
      I’ve been using the treatment on my clients for over two years and curls are still curling lol

      @@timelesslymirnathis is good to know. I will have to look more into this treatment especially the one you’re using. I love my curls but also miss my straight hair and want to maintain my hair’s health. I just straightened it yesterday for an end trim and it’s grown so much. It deeply moisturizes the hair but it also has keratin in it so it’ll help prolong the effects of the keratin treatment. It’s great for keeping the moisture and strengthen balance in the hair.

    Would it help with length retention to get a keratin treatment before a sew in?

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  Рік тому +3

      Yes definitely. A keratin treatment will protect your hair and ends and prevent them from breaking. So you’ll notice better length retention when you take the sew in down.

      Yes, I have been certified to use this keratin treatment. It does not contain carcinogens or formaldehyde that are found in harsher treatments.

    Can u do bonding repair treatment in between keratin treatments

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  10 місяців тому +4

      You can but I don’t recommend using a bonding treatment until about 3-4 washes after the keratin treatment. By this point some of the keratin has worn off so the bonding treatment can help prolong the keratin’s results

    Oop I forgot to post this thought but I was initially concerned that keratin would damage my hair but when I followed your instructions I could feel the strength and the integrity of my hair building. Im guessing all of the comments I had seen on Reddit warning against the treatment mainly experienced damage due to the misuse of heat appliances and not necessarily the Keratin itself. Im definitely sharing this video!

    After washing out the treatment do you have to blow dry and straighten your hair again to mantain the treatment for 3 months?

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  10 місяців тому +1

      No, not at all. You can definitely wear your hair curly and the treatment will still be intact.
      You can do your regular wash n gos and they will have less frizz and better definition. When you straighten your hair you’ll notice it will fight humidity and stay straighter longer!

    Basically a jheri curl

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  10 місяців тому +2

      A keratin treatment doesn’t change your curl pattern, it smooths, eliminates frizz and strengthens the hair.
      A Jheri curl is like a relaxer where you have to break down the curl pattern and set a new form. It’s way harsher than a keratin treatment.

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  10 місяців тому +2

      @@oompapompaa6543 The treatment reduces frizz and allows the curls to clump together. This makes it look like the curls are elongated and looser. But the treatment doesn’t change your curl pattern.

    • @ananse77
      @ananse77 8 місяців тому

      It's nothing like a jherri curl. A jherri curl-type product usually uses thio to straighten your hair, then you put curls back in using small rods and a product that sets the bonds to the new shape. This product simply bonds keratin to the hair (using glycolic acid), which loosens the hair pattern a bit. The more it builds up, the looser your curl pattern can become. But it's also possible to wear it off by not doing it for a while. In contrast, a jherri curl won't wear off.
