Thanks was not sure which set to go for. As its a fractional difference and you can get nearly 3 X Diamondbacks for the price of the Viper, I'd go with the former
Peace be to you sir! This was VERY helpful! I have purchased inexpensive binoculars ($20 at a conscience store). They broke within a month. I am looking to spend about $100 on a pair for bird watching.
Hunting, Fishing, 55 Years, Alot of Great Optics out there,. I Like Vortex, They keep it Simple, Straight Forward. Great Customer Service, Their Products are Top, from Entry Level, to Highest Level.l have several pairs, Including Razors it's nice to have so you have a pair, for a Friend. Vortex also has Best Warranty, even though I Haven't Needed it. And No I Don't Work for Vortex.
So ive been shopping around for a pair of binoculars and i can definitely say that Vortex are the best binoculars pound for pound , meaning that you get a better than average binocular for a very decent price . That being said the viper is a little bit better than the diamondback however , sometimes im not sure if its 300 hundred dollars better! if the vipers where around 480 to 520 then i would say the price matches the quality but yeah get the vipers if you can find them on the cheap . Dont get me wrong i own 3 vortex products and i absolutely love them , Lifetime warranty is also a collosal plus, but in this case Viper vs Diamondback binoculars its a tough decision
The Vortex Talon is in between the diamondback and the viper price point. It was the winner of our test, in our opinion the best binoculars under 500 euro's. The only tiny remark I can think of is that the focus was rather slow (about 1.7 turns from close to infinity). If I am not mistaken, the Talon is the one with the open bridge standing next to him in the video. We tested only 8x42 binoculars.
Good video, but I have to inform you that, the carat of a diamond, refers to the size (actualy the weight) 1 metric carat is equal to 2 milligrams, or 0,2g - got nothing to do with the quality of a diamond, just the weight......cheers
10 power binoculars you cannot hold steady , 8x42 is steadyto hold I have a 8x42 bushnell binocular it is very clear optics,, I am not knocking vortex they make very good optics in rifle scopes ,, and binoculars
