So for some reason, it never really annoyed be until now, but on I think most stingrays I believe, the G string is for some reason always much weaker sounding and quieter than the other 3, not sure why. But it really annoyed me in this video, so I lowered my pickup on the bass side to balance it out, and it sounds more even. Not sure why I'm telling you guys this but yeah haha
Time may have passed but I'm so glad you made this video. Stingray is a well made bass, I'm surprised it has this G string thing. I guess it might have something to do with the..fact that it is the thinnest string so less mass, less volume. Maybe since it is lop sided..on the lower half of the headstock (the side the G is ON) there is less weight (tuners, string, and other vibrations of the E, A, and D) so coupled with the lower mass of the G string these factors all make it less loud. Maybe an experiment could be to add a weight like a Fender Fatfinger and see if it balances out the sound.
I love Queen, not to mention I'm a HUGE fan of John Deacon, always paying attention to his bassline and trying to learn them! All things considered, what better channel to subscribe than yours! Keep up the fantastic work!

Yes, you would use your pinky to slide into the 5th fret on the G string.
