You're right: It's funny how all cover musicians reproduce mistakes (even realizing they are mistakes). And not only on this song. It is in every songs.
I, for better or worse, (and being a guitar and bass teacher), strictly prohibit my students from reproducing mistakes (unless the original musician also reproduces them live).
But you know: A mistake in a not-known musician is a mistake. The same mistake in a prestigious musician would be technique.

Can we just talk about how CS has taken tabs, a medium most musicians scoff at (for good reason) and put it between bars with accents and propper marks to actually make it usable. Tabs lose so much of the rhythm and how the song goes beyond the notes, but CS has hammer ons, slide, dead notes, rests. Its truly genius, and now you can reach everyone.

'September' es maravillosa pero precisamente lo es más por la singularidad de la línea de bajo -casi bitonal- que hace trascender la armonía. Una joya. /// No aprecio las críticas mezquinas "ay, es que aquí te has equivocado". Aprecio escuchar la línea de bajo aislada y mostrada. MUCHAS GRACIAS. BUEN TRABAJO.

Wow, great video! First, I would say your tone in your hands is amazing, and like all great bass players we continue to work on tone and timing. you picked a pretty difficult song to post as well. A lot of people don’t appreciate Verdine’s timing and groove.

okay I got it almost until 1:06 I still have to practice but I progressed more than I expected.
trickiest part is 0:21 I had to sing and make the pulses with my hand first to get the timing right but now seems natural
