For those trying to compress this in their head a little, the original groove in the verses starts blending with the chorus groove more and more, around 2:00.
I dont know why, but the timing is so hard to get right with this song. The patterns and finger positions aren't difficult, it's just playing the notes at the right time that I'm struggling with
@@redheadedstepchild2240 Try listening along to the bass and kind of humming or mouthing the note lengths and pocket timing. It can get easier when you are using speech kind of. A song that is a little easier than this is Such A Woman by the Commodores. It will lead up to September.
Been watching videos of people playing this so I can learn it correctly and I’m realizing that most players have their fingers flat against the board while mine are curled. Otherwise I can’t really reach all the frets correctly with my short fat fingers. Got a lot to learn! (It’s only been 3 weeks since I started) I appreciate the videos!! ❤
Can we just talk about how CS has taken tabs, a medium most musicians scoff at (for good reason) and put it between bars with accents and propper marks to actually make it usable. Tabs lose so much of the rhythm and how the song goes beyond the notes, but CS has hammer ons, slide, dead notes, rests. Its truly genius, and now you can reach everyone.
This is what makes this so good. A regular tab usually has no timing or feel, but this combines the best of tab with the best of sheet music. Great work Cover Solutions, I've been using your channel for years and have learned a lot!

okay I got it almost until 1:06 I still have to practice but I progressed more than I expected. trickiest part is 0:21 I had to sing and make the pulses with my hand first to get the timing right but now seems natural
okay I think I have almost all the song now I have to memorize the structure but the patterns are very clear now I think in 2 more days I can play it all along :D

lmao when I play bass and I press them just like barring chords when I'm lazy. Works neatly muting other strings as you switch keys.
