Ive learnt that if an opponent keeps smashing shots you can kinda reset the hits and gain control by countering with a drop shot too
My tip for super smash is instead of smashing, use a drop shot when you feel it can be intercepted to throw opponent off. It works almost every time I've used it.
And yet the powerhouse bot is still quite literally impossible to beat
