@@carolineduncan7408 That's so lovely! Peg loom weaving is so contemplative that I think that you will have a lovely time feeling in connection with your Dad as you weave on his/your loom!
Beautiful project - you are a very inspiring teacher, with a very soothing voice! I can't wait to start a baby blanket like this for my friend. Thanks!
An informative video thank you. We are going to teach our pre-school children how to use the peg loom, so watching an expert was really helpful. Thank you 😇
Lovely. You are such a wonderful teacher. I am a new weaver (rigid heddle) and loving it! I discovered you after I found a hexagon loom at a thrift shop and was not sure how to use it. I am "hooked" on weaving of all types now. Thank you.
I am just getting into peg weaving and your videos appears very interesting and full of information an techniques. I didn’t even know that peg weaving was so versatile. You seem to have quite a bit of experience.
Hi Mona, Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I do have a fair amount of information and techniques. I wrote a book on Peg Looms and weaving sticks :) Here's the link www.bookdepository.com/Peg-Looms-and-Weaving-Sticks/9780811716123
thank Miss Noreen - wonderful as usual. i have a couple questions. can this type of weaving be felted? if felted, will the edges become very blurred? can this type of weaving have lace techniques applied, such as leno or brooks bouquet? thank you again for your wonderful tutorials. Blessings - deb
thank you I look very much forward to that video I ordered your book from Barnes & Noble they say it will be in September before I can get it. I was also looking for the Firefly, I'm thinking that you do that went on the Thumbelina Loom? anyway looking forward to your other videos again thank you
Hi Deborah- Yes, the publishing date of my Peg Loom weaving book has been delayed until Sept 2017 because Stackpole Books was sold to another larger publisher. Firefly? Do you mean the Dragonfly loom? Here's the link: www.dewberryridge.com/products/dragon-fly-lil-weaver-pin-loom Happy weaving!
Hi Deborah- Thank you for your kind comment- I appreciate it! And, yes, you can felt the weaving using a needle felting tool- I have done this on tapestries that I have woven on the peg loom. Go to my blog and click on 'Woven Women' in the categories and you can see them :o) Nope, you can't do Leno or Brooks bouquet on the peg loom, but you can do soumak. Happy weaving! :o)
I saw a video that said this is a form of weaving that came from the Vikings, Do you have any information about that/ Thank you by the way for your time in showing this great craft! Wendy.
Hi Wendy- I have never heard this theory.... I know that the Vikings used huge warp weighted looms and tablet looms- often in combination. But, I have never seen historic or archeological discussion linking peg looms to the Vikings. I LOVE the peg loom, and am so inspired by the creative potential of it :o)
Up here in Shetland, UK, we have a strong Viking heritage. Most of the place names come from old Norse. Last weekend we stopped off at a cafe in Hoswick and there was an exhibition of weaving, including a couple of peg boards to try. My daughters, 6 and 9 now want me to make them boards. Just waiting for the postman to arrive with the dowels. Thanks for your very helpful video :-:

Is there a specific name for that threading tool you used to weave in your extra yarn? Where can I find them? Thanks so much!!
Hi Mike, a bent wire works well, and so does a floss threader from the local pharmacy. They also sell them in the fabric stores, too.

I wish to purchase this complete DVD. I do not use credit cards or debts so I can't use etsy. So is there another way to get it?
Sorry, Fiddlegrandmom, I didn't see your comment until just now. There is no DVD... just this online youtube video. Happy weaving!
