Pair that with a Hoss robot row weeder and life would be amazing! My robot vacuum is game changing, I don't see why we couldn't swap out the vacuum features for a hoe 😁
No fall planting yet, heat index is 112 today and my garden is a mud hole it has rained 11 days in a row. I stopped counting at 14”. The old goat is behind the sweet potatoes. Like the new website!!! 👍
Old goat is hiding in the get dirty sock next to Farmhouse sign. Great show, as always! Never knew about purple hull pea jelly...wow, no more waste of the shells. Ordering some of your early fall recommendations. Get dirty!!
Hey guys! I hear you on the heat beating us all down Hot as heck in Texas too. That old goat is behind Greg left side of farmhouse sign.he's always barely sticking out lol
My White Acre peas have began to flower. My Zippers and Purple hulls are sprouting. Okra holding steady, but the plants are showing their age yield-wise. I have a new row of okra that is about six inches tall. I ripped out my peppers, they are done. Corn is about 2 foot high. In the house I have broccoli, cauliflower, Bok Choi, and onions under a lamp waiting for it to cool off a bit.
old goat facing the show left bookshelf, third shelf, all the way left on black object. This show was very interesting, but of course, I did not select one of the same varieties that you discussed. 😂
The Old Goat is tucked into the sock on the shelf behind Greg. I plan on starting some cabbage, beans, beets, root crops and whatever else I can fit into my raised beds.
Thank y'all looking forward to our fall garden. Just finished pulling the last of our summer garden. Mr old goat is behind Mr Greg hiding in those Hoss socks. Wishing y'all a blessed day.
Put in some bunching green onions and a hill of green squash (hopefully the squash bugs are GONE)... Ol' Goat is behind Greg in the new "Get Dirty" soaks...
I’m in the mountains of VA (6b) and I already have collards, bok choy, two types of cabbage, two varieties of collards, kale, leeks, brussels, spring harvest onions, celery, broccoli, sprouting broccoli, cauliflower, parsley, kohlrabi, beets, carrots, rutabagas, and turnips in. I still have green beans, pole limas, shelling beans, okra, purple hulls, pinto beans, melons, winter squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers going for my summer plants.
It’s 65 right now in Beckley WV. BE 80 something’s tomorrow. My sugar baby watermelons are rocking. 6 good size watermelons on one plant so far. Early for us in zone 6
I love watching y'all! We are still dealing with 104-105 degrees daily and dry with no rain in sight. Fall planting is not looking too good. Y'all had inspired me to try a fall crop but it may not happen. Old Goat was hard to find, but I think that is him on the shelf , in a Hoss sock 😄
You will love the Magnolia peas. I’ve grown them two years now. Definitely trellis them-mine got eight feet tall. They are a beautiful plant as well as being prolific and delicious. Old Goat is behind Greg getting comfortable in the Get Dirty socks.
Hey y'all! Just got in from outside here in the Houston area. It's still 95 with always a higher heat index. I see that old goat. Hanging out in that sock behind Greg.
The old goat is sleeping in those get dirty socks. We are planting top pick peas, Roma green beans, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, beets, cabbage, and lettuce.
It’s still too hot and dry in central La. We’re in a drought-temps around 100 with no rain for over a month-I hesitate to start plants because of weather! Hope I don’t wait too long!
The old goat is gasping for air out of Greg’s stinky socks 😂🤣. I love turnip roots without the greens ! I was raised on mustard greens and turnip roots ! Another good show guys !
I would be interested in a white/brown (dirt brown color for looking nicer in a suburban setting) plastic/other material that is more biodegradable to put down in rows to help decrease weeding demands. If we're gonna get more people growing their own food I think we need to start using more tech to decrease time and physical demands that are barriers for people gardening. Not sure how well the plastic works but the bigger farms use it so it can't be too bad.
Zone 7b, I just planted my second season purple hull peas and cucumbers. Put out dinosaur Kale 😁. Still have Jalepenos, okra and bell peppers going. Need to clear out corn stalks, etc and figure out what else to plant. Old goat is hiding is some socks.
Not planting now getting ready for the county fair. The old goat in the Hoss socks might put socks on my goat at the fair. Great show love you guy you keep me motivated.
Great video....really motivated me to get on it and start my Hoss seeds for my fall garden! Now I have to order those Magnolia Blossom peas. They are beautiful! Old Goat behind Greg in the socks. Too funny. 🙌 👩🌾
I told someone on my NW Louisiana gardening group on FaceBook today about getting Jambalaya okra seeds from you. They said they had no idea you offer seeds. They thought you only offer tools! I also told them about your awesome YT channel. Happy gardening and thanks for all you do.
Big fun show! I’ve got my brassicas just breaking ground, green bean and lady pea succession plantings done, and working up a seed order from y’all for odds and ends. Tomatoes, Lima beans, and pole beans is about all the remnants from summer. Cover crops going in a couple of plots soon. Looking forward to some low 60s at night for a couple of days next week!
Old goat by the get dirty socks. I'm in zone 7, but the weather on Cumberland changes really fast. It went from blazing hot in July and add soon as August hit it cooled way down. Last 2 years i lost everything but the garlic. I'm going to try root crops and garlic this year.
Old goat is in the sock on the shelf above Hoss' right shoulder. hmmm, I had no idea edamame was good for women going thru menopause. I am going to have to order some now. Thank you for doing these shows. I'm always learning something new :)
Yes ,would like a visor saying Lets get Dirty! I got my trays like that !My husband ordered 5 with the under trays! Love them! They are really nice! Well its been so hot! All the tomatoes, all 800 have turned all at once ! Still got okra but not doing how it should! The pole beans are not doing well at all this year either! But we Blessed not complaining! Going to use lots of shade cloth next year with more raised beds! We starting to get ready! Thanks for the videos love them all! Show tours of new gardens! When do I need to start collards if I want to have them ready to sell for January ! Thanks!
Greg, I planted some Zipper Cream peas and some of the peas are a dark purple. The pods are the creamy white color, but some have the white peas, and some are almost black.
Lowcountry SC zone 8. We just mowed down our July Jungle and are feeling that fall gardening itch too! Just planted Hoss green blaze and trying yellow wax beans for fall. Getting green magic broccoli, greenboy cabbage kale & cabbage collards started in trays tomorrow.
First of all, I very jealous of Shelia’s tan! I’ve been watching her and mine isn’t catching up at all. Ole Goat must be a bit chilled to be playing in those socks. Purple hull pea jelly? I’m in! I grew up eating the purple hull butter beans and peas but never heard of the jelly. My granddaddy would have loved that. I agree with @atomicbd100 we need a “Get Dirty” visor! I prefer those over ball caps myself.
Seeded 72 each of read acre cabbage and cheers cabbage as well as some more yellow and zucchini squash that I got from yall yesterday under the shed during a short rain. Getting the garden ready for the fall. Been planting anasazi beans in the past but trying the Christmas beans (also from yall) this year. Radishes and lettuce will come later in my raised beds. I was watching Sheila planting the seeds and was envious at her dexterity because I have to use tweezers for every seed due to arthitis in the right hand and 3 medical problems in the right. But hey, it may be slow but the tweezers work. The ol goat mush be hot in that sock on the shelf behind Greg. God Bless Yall
The Old Goat really likes those new Get Dirty socks!!!! He's bundled up in one and staying warm thinking about cooler weather and fall gardening on the shelf behind Greg. As to what we are starting, Broccoli and Broccolini, cabbage, celery, all for transplanting. That's all for now, but more being started in late August and early September.

I always enjoy your shows and getting tips on how and when to plant crops for the upcoming season! I'm in 9B, On Monday I planted brussel sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli and onions in seed containers to be transplanted next month! It usually takes me a couple trys to get seedlings up so I started early! Im planting beans in ground today. The old goat is behind Greg next to the farmhouse sign in a sock.
