A dangerous chase through Alhambra Tuesday afternoon ended with the suspect's arrest after he abandoned a truck and tried to run away.
Just before 1 p.m., the suspect bailed out of a reported stolen pickup truck and ditched the vehicle near Garfield Avenue and McLean Street. He hopped over a fence and was detained by a man in the neighborhood who appeared to know him. The man had pulled the suspect away from a woman who was hugging him.
"I love you," the suspect told the woman as he was led away in handcuffs by police.
The woman's role in the incident is unclear, but she was also handcuffed and taken into custody.
Another damn good reason why the insurance rates are so high in Southern California because of the police policies on pursuits, They just let this idiot get away and drive around till he get tired of the vehicle he's in and then get another one to steal , this is one reason why I no longer live in California😨😨😨😨
They are high simply because of greed. Whats the point of having a good record if morons will F it up for everyone else

150 mph chases and I've seen them bump cars going 112 mph. One car rolled over 5 times.
They need to airlift Trooper Byrd with his Charger Hemi here to end the chase and train the cops.

"High rate of speed" means nothing. You probably want to say high speed. Speed is defined as distance travelled per unit time. "High rate of speed" means nothing. Do you mean "high speed"? You must mean high speed and if you mean high speed, then why don't you just say "high speed" instead of the meaningless "high rate of speed"?

I remember this chase in Alhambra. It was one of my old stomping grounds. during the 80s. So much has changed since then. I lived in Pasadena from 1982 until 1984. After that, Monrovia. Another stomping ground. Good chase. 👍
So annoying when you don't cover a pursuit through to its conclusion. Just like you wouldn't read a book that was missing the last few pages. Hence, you get a thumbs down from me and I hope you will from a lot of other viewers.
