Update 2 months later: These are still my favorite ice cube trays. But have had some learning and issues.. I got one track broken trying to force it to break the ice, the bottom tray got thicker ice from pushing down hard. When I first got these trays I could break the ice as soon as I took it out of the freezer.. NOW: The only way they break easy is if you set them on the counter for 30 minutes! to naturally break loose from metal before you use the ice breaker.. They work great this way.. But not if you try to break ice as soon as you take them out of freezer.. FYI..
I too have recently opted to do away with my plastic ice cube trays and will be getting the kind you showed. Sick and tired of everything being plastic that either doesn't last or has toxins that go into our bodies.
Agreed, pretty sad we have to spend so much time trying to fight all the toxins they put out into this world.. RF, EMF's, LED Lights, Processed food. Etc.. Stuff that is made to not last..
It is pretty annoying there isn't a perfect ice cube tray, seems pretty simple.. So FYI Update. These aren't as easy to get ice cubes out of as when I first got them.. If you did already order them. Best thing to do is let them sit out for 5-8 minutes or so to break loose. Before you break the ice with the handle. I have had some issues.. One broke as in won't line up right to break the ice.. Couple of them have developed extra deep middle part in the tray (maybe from me pushing too hard trying to break the ice without letting them sit on the counter) So the ice build up on the bottom gets too thick which makes it harder to break the ice. So I flip it over and hammer down the tray a little so the ice won't build up as thick. Sometimes I just have to melt some of the ice to make it thinner to break easier.. Who would have imagined no one could invent a reliable ice cube tray that works..
I tried running warm water for a little bit but they still came out rough.. I just put them on the counter for about 30 minutes or so, and they all pop out easy.. I have a big commercial fridge and a small under counter freezer, no ice maker.. There is also lots of leaks in those water lines for the fridges with ice makers and the ice makers get pretty gross after awhile, impossible to clean plastic like that.
If you had a divider holder you could stack it.. They do take up some room, but I have an under counter freezer main floor for small weekly stuff. And 4 freezers in the basement.. lol

I grew up with these ice trays and loved them. i used to run warm water on the bottom for a few seconds and that would help.. now i have an ice maker

They dont stack, take up too much space in your freezer
