The color grading and VFX in the trailer proves why Red Chillies have the best cinema technicians in the country, even Pathaan trailer and the film itself didn't have this much opulence that Jawaan trailer had in 3 minutes. RED CHILLIES SUPREMACY!!!!
actually no the color grading and cinematography is all Atlee and his technicians you can see the similarity in Mersal Teaser and Verithanam song also I liked the Unreal Engine 5 graphics and Red Chillies Vfx team has done a fine job

This was insane. Unexpected honestly! I thought it would be a normal mass film. But the scale is insane and it seems to be an emotional ride too. Also SRK as villain....god have we not missed them roles since the 90's.

Surprised no one noticed Nayanthara. How composed and suave she looks. SRK just gave off the goosebumps we all knew and were expecting. I think He really is back with not just a bang but a thunder.
What about priyamani ? No one noticed her too. She is also awesome ❤ My Favorite tamil & malayalam actress, She isn't popular in the north side much. By the way Her first bollywood debut was ravan (2010) Starring Jr. AB, Aishwarya Rai, Chiyaan Vikram,etc.
Hmm can’t say much about the heroine and actresses in the movie...maybe they deliberately did it because the main focus would be on SRK? hopefully Nayan, Priyamani, and the other actresses have a good storyline waiting for us in the movie ❤️
The trailer was a BANGER for me. It arrived at the right time in my opinion. A few days before the advance booking, should contribute a lot. And also, it is releasing in Bangladesh on the same day as its global release, my excitement level is through the roof.
Jawaan is reminding me of Pathaan, just like how in Pathaan there were dialogues portraying SRK's real life (such as: 3 saal se uski koi khabaar nahi hai or Pathaan ke vanvaas ka time khatam), just like that Jawaan has similar type of dialogues.

*Really liked the way how they didn't reveal much about the plot. It was so fascinating to see SRK in different characters and i'm sure he's gonna slay every character of it. SRK as a cop, this is definitely going huge. The action sequences and set pieces looked exquisite and fab. The way he reloaded the gun in the last was so damn cool! Pipe down, it's SRK's year!!*

This type of SRK was what we needed and Atlee has beautifully churned out a full-on massy SRK straight from the 90's vibes. Vijay Sethupathi looks absolutely menacing.
IF i could review the trailer in one word it would be "PERFECT''. Didn't reveal too much about the storyline, Srk's looks and voice as powerful as ever. Vijay, Nayanthara and other actors also have a great screen presence. Action scenes and VFX look MASSY AND CLASSY. Lastly the Backround music instantly creates goosebumps. This is gonna be a BLOCKUSTER!🤩😍🤩
Dude.. the whole story is revealed in the trailer. There are two SRKs.. Father SRK and son SRK. Father SRK is an army man who is wronged by Vijay Sethupathi and framed for being a traitor. He is presumed to be dead or is in jail. Deepika is his wife who raises son SRK to be a police officer. Son SRK falls in love with Nayanthara who too is a police officer. Years later Father SRK is back as a vigilante who with the help of five girls who in a way or other were harmed by Vijay Setupathi. Together they take revenge from the system. Nayanthara is in the charge of arresting father SRK and his group of girls. At last revenge is taken.. the whole country agrees that father SRK was not a traitor. Presumably father SRK dies in the end.. In the end 1000 crores in SRK’s bank account and people celebrating mediocrity
Don't know about the movie but Atlee truly presented SRK in his most massy avatar ever. VFX, Cinematography, BGM, dialogues the entire packaging is so good. P.S. I really feel like going to some Chennai theatre to watch the movie, to see all the hooting and cheering on Vijay Sethupati, Yogi Babu and Nayanthara scenes.
The issue SRK is doesn’t have mass appeal! Though pill to swallow. He is not made for such roles, and you can tell he tries too hard. Mass appeal should come easy like it did for amitabh, rajnikanth, or Vijay and allu arjun. SRK ends up looking like wannabe
Believe me you don’t want to. I’m from Tamil Nadu and I want to watch the show first day first show but I’m worried if Thalapathy Vijay fans will burn the theatres in excitement. It’s one thing to watch people dancing near screens on social media and another being in the theatre 💀
SRK definitely has the mass appeal. He’s the star of masses in truest sense. Except that he hasn’t chosen good directors in that regard. I remember a scene from Dilwale where he wakes up in anger and walks and that if it was made by someone like Atlee would have turned theatres into stadiums but Rohit Shetty botched it up. Same goes for Happy New Year.

We have to appreciate GK Vishnu cinematography, he's easily the most underrated, especially when it comes to commercial movies. Ruben's editing holds key, since he was trained under Anthony, I can guess his editing style, the trailer looked exactly how I imagined. 100%. I think GK Vishnu's cinematography has largely benefited from the colour correction from the team. Giving it a dark and gritty aesthetic, required for the film. Ruben has not really given much of the plot even though we can formulate our theories. I think it ends the marketing run on a great note as the advance bookings now will get open!
I really think SRK is the greatest actor that India has ever produced because I belong to South India and I don't know a word in hindi during my childhood days but SRK has a magic that even kids can understand his emotions without knowing the language and TBH I saw other actors in the same age but neither I could understand the Hindi nor their acting. But because of SRK I started to understand Hindi now even after becoming a grown up and an avid Bollywood film lover. I still think there is no one who can act like him. In veer-zara as an old man the way he shivered his hands and the voice he changed to a weak old man's voice is flawless. In Om Shanti Om the difference he brought to 2 characters like a humble loving sensitive Om the aspiring actor, and cool stylish easy-breezy and little impatient Om the superstar is so amazing. Even though I didn't like Devdas for one reason as he keeps saying Chandramukhi "mai yahape aata hoon ki thume bardash karsako" many-a-times than the original but his performance was spectacular. I also think he is a versatile actor he did out and out comedy in Chennai Express and villain in Baazigar and Autistic in My Name Is Khan as a serious and strict coach in Chak de India and psychologist in dear zindagi and army officer in Mai hoon na, nasa engineer in swades he is not just great only as Romantic actor I think few PPL try to take away stardom and good name from him as an incredible actor. Even Alexa to Andro humanoid robots call srk is their fav and Obama sir to Oscar winning actors say srk is their fav actor in India he is the only actor in the 50 greatest actors of all time in the world.

First things first, the trailer and SRK both look spectacular. Vijay Sethupathi as the badass arms dealer looks dashing and deadly too. I am sure it is going to be an emotional ride along with being an action packed one. The only thing we don't know is where do Thalapathy Vijay and Sanjay Dutt fit in here as they both are supposed to make cameo appearances in this. But all in all, a great trailer! Looking forward to the mass hysteria that theatres are going to be when it comes out on the 7th of September!! READY AH?!!!

Apart from the romantic scenes and the comedic gags, I did enjoy the trailer. The first 40 seconds were brilliantly edited and perfectly blended with decent but exhilarating bgm.
I was a little skeptical.. b4 the trailer launch as I thought the possibility of them revealing a lot abt the storyline was pretty high but considering the way the film looks I would willingly go to the theater just to watch these amazing frames on the big screen n mayhem it will create in the theater considering there are a lot of powerfull scene in the film...even if i get the spoilers of the film b4 hand.!!! Cz dude the film looks soo good!! N I think there could be possibility of a bigger villian than vijay setupati probably the person who died.. or tht person could be the reason of restarting the saga of revenge.. considering we get the younger as well as older version of vijay setupati!!
Here is the possible story.. SRK is a soldier whose wife is deepika. His team is killed by the weapon sold by kaali. He threatens kaali and kaali makes him an offer which he refuses. He says that in the trailer. Then Kaali tries to kill him. He gets wounded and rescued in a village. Meanwhile deepika is framed by kaali and gets thrown in jail. Kaali goes to meet her and introduces himself. SRK's son born in jail and becomes inspector. Nayantara is her boss. Deepika possibly dies in labour. Now dad SRK is back for revenge from kaali. Son SRK gets caught and beaten up.. His father shows up and we hear baap dialogue. Younger kaali is old now. He founds out that dad SRK is alive. He takes the revenge on the village. Now dad SRK is mad and hijacks metro with girls gang. An then the climax. Dad SRK vs Kaali vs Son SRK + Nayan
For me The Jawan trailer actually killed my curiousity and suspence quite a bit what the teaser and the prevue bulid over the month. It would have been great if they don't release the trailer because it reveals most of the story and suspence about the dual role of SRK. This is what I dont like about trailer. I just prefer Teaser over Trailer any day.

While the prevue (teaser) had given just a small glimpse into the world of this massive action entertainer, the trailer showcases the biggest picture. The trailer is full of adrenaline stuff packed with high voltage action and gets highly emotional towards the end.
Looks like template atlee movie, i remember when Mersal trailer was out whole india was going bonkers on it. Movie turned out to be an average venture. Hope Jawan lives upto its expectation. No hate to SRK!

All are behind the Father and Son Saga, But the real story is kept under wraps, the Women Power Saga, Ruben have done the best surprise , You will see that underlying story of Avengence for Annihilation of a village and Depika's Death will have same impact, similar in Nitya Menon Death in Mersal.
I always believe in Anirudh and he has shown why someone should choose him as the music director of a massy film. I bet no one could have given such background score. Just imagine SRK's slow-mo walk with his bgm in background. GOOSEBUMPS STUFF!!!

I heard his Vikram vedha bgm and now RDX that's it.

Listen to the Tamil versions they are very good. That's why Chaleya is my favourite because it has well written lyrics. Doesn't seem forced. If lyrics had been better then the songs would have worked. But anyways, people are gonna enjoy the songs in theatre because of the music. I am telling you anirudh music will play a huge role in elevating scenes. People are gonna like it for sure.
I really wanted the trailer to be better than the prevue, but somewhere it feels like it the music didn't match, too much SRK dependent , Story Giveaway and many other things that have been a disappointment
I think the movie will have a pretty similar storyline to that of Mersal, just much bigger in scale. Srk is most probably playing the father and 2 sons, with the son, Azad who grew up in jail and doesn't know about the horrors his parents had to face while the elder brother knows about it and is working on his revenge with/without help from father. Where Mersal dealt with the greed of the medical industry, this will deal with the greed of the weapon industry.
The only thing that has me slightly worried is the potential overkill with slow motion. It's understandable that it creates a very very massy effect but its overuse is sometimes detrimental to the effect it has. Hopefully my apprehensions are wrong.
If Vijay is making a cameo then there is one possibility and I hope in a cinematic universe. It has to be 100% his character from theri which really be something
One minor detail that irked me was that SRK has a rank patch in 3:33 that iirc no indian military service branch uses. It is the US Air Force Technical Sergeant rank.

This story is going to be very much similar to all other Atlee’s movies. Where hero will play dual role - father and son duo(SRK). Father will die because of misdeeds of villain(Vijay sethupathi). The son/young hero will take his revenge for his father’s death by show casing himself as an anti-hero with the help of other supporting cast(priyayamani, Sanya malhotra etc). This revenge will be supported by heroine as well when she comes to know about the death of hero’s father. The villain will be portrayed in such a way his death/punishment not only serves revenge but results in a greater good for society, absolute tear jerkers. Jawaan is perfect mix of two tamil movies “Mersal” and “Bigil”. To Bollywood this story could be unique but for telugu/tamil audience it’s not.
Mark my word it would be a movie like any other South Indian movie which will show SRK as villan first and then it will go back in flashback to display a sad story about him and them making him the good guy who is fighting against the system.
I would like to see SRK play a character from back in Baazigar, Darr days. We all know the sweet, funny and charming SRK from his love stories but have forgotten the maniac, obsessed and sharp negative characters he has played. The intensity in his eyes is a force to reckon with. Maybe I'll get to see that in Jawan now.
If you do get a chance to interview atlee, ask him why is their always a sorta trifecta in all his movies starting up from raja rani. In raja rani there is 2 flashbacks and the story of arya and nayanthara In theri a story of a estranged father then a flashback and then a cop-dad who's back in action In merasal 1 good cop brother and one bad cop brother with an emotional back story In Bigil, we see vijay as a coach, as a player and as the dad rayappan. Jawan seems to be following the same route. Scripts like these work really well on a commercial level. But as a writer/director atlee should change his method of storytelling in the next movie. Reminds me of the geronimo stilton books I read as a kid, the guy introduces himself in every book the same way but the story is different seems to be the case with atlee too. Not questioning his skill as a director but just why the same route and "method of story telling" for 10 years Eagerly waiting for your review to drop on the 7th Jammy. Cheers Cliff

Let’s be honest… all atlee films are average at its best, apart from Raja Rani. Therefore don’t have any expectations. SRK should have choosen Lokesh instead of Atlee.

To be honest, I am worried about the story. At the end of the day, what people want from a film is good acting and good story. I'm not in doubt about the acting as Jawan has a stellar cast and the film seems to utilize these actors in the most appropriate way possible for the story. However, this movie just seems like it'll have so much going on story wise, that it may seem too ridiculous or have too many plot holes for the audience to enjoy. It's okay to have some stupidity or senselessness in a film, but I don't want it to ruin my ability to enjoy the film and ridicule it! Jawan seems really aspirational in what it's trying to accomplish, and I just hope the film doesn't fall flat on that. Otherwise, the trailer was pretty good. The CGI at certain points was questionable but I can let it off the hook on that. The songs released so far have been very mid, with the only one I slightly liked being Chaleya (but I think people are gonna lose it with the songs in the theaters, esp the Deepika and SRK track, when seen on the big screen!) Very intrigued by the feminism aspect and use of Deepika in the story. And of course, I hope it does wonders at the box office!

I remember couple of years ago, SRK said in a interview that they were working on a project similar to Money Heist. similarity 1: public loved professor. similarity 2: professor had random people named them towns. If you have seen Aakhri Rasta.. the trailer almost gives away the full plot... Lots of set piece action sequences... but looks like it will be missing the strong core or the grounded performance that Big B gave in that movie.. This might end up similar to Big B original Don vs SRK stylized Don movies which do you like more? Personally I like Big B version and cant stand the SRK Don.

I wish they didn't reveal this much of plot in the trailer. Now Jawan seems very much like Mersal with a few alterations. I gotta be honest, I'm a little bit disappointed by the trailer. It's not like I was expecting an Inception level story from Atlee, because I know what he's good at. Atleast he could've kept the dad SRK's look under the wraps. Nonetheless I'm watching it FDFS only for SRK ❤.

Dude.. the whole story is revealed in the trailer. There are two SRKs.. Father SRK and son SRK. Father SRK is an army man who is wronged by Vijay Sethupathi and framed for being a traitor. He is presumed to be dead or is in jail. Deepika is his wife who raises son SRK to be a police officer. Son SRK falls in love with Nayanthara who too is a police officer. Years later Father SRK is back as a vigilante who with the help of five girls who in a way or other were harmed by Vijay Setupathi. Together they take revenge from the system. Nayanthara is in the charge of arresting father SRK and his group of girls. At last revenge is taken.. the whole country agrees that father SRK was not a traitor. Presumably father SRK dies in the end.. In the end 1000 crores in SRK’s bank account and people celebrating mediocrity

Don't know about the movie but Atlee truly presented SRK in his most massy avatar ever. VFX, Cinematography, BGM, dialogues the entire packaging is so good.
P.S. I really feel like going to some Chennai theatre to watch the movie, to see all the hooting and cheering on Vijay Sethupati, Yogi Babu and Nayanthara scenes.
The issue SRK is doesn’t have mass appeal! Though pill to swallow. He is not made for such roles, and you can tell he tries too hard. Mass appeal should come easy like it did for amitabh, rajnikanth, or Vijay and allu arjun. SRK ends up looking like wannabe

SRK definitely has the mass appeal. He’s the star of masses in truest sense. Except that he hasn’t chosen good directors in that regard. I remember a scene from Dilwale where he wakes up in anger and walks and that if it was made by someone like Atlee would have turned theatres into stadiums but Rohit Shetty botched it up. Same goes for Happy New Year.

We have to appreciate GK Vishnu cinematography, he's easily the most underrated, especially when it comes to commercial movies. Ruben's editing holds key, since he was trained under Anthony, I can guess his editing style, the trailer looked exactly how I imagined. Anirudh's BGM is once again lit, hope this gives a blast at the theatres

100%. I think GK Vishnu's cinematography has largely benefited from the colour correction from the team. Giving it a dark and gritty aesthetic, required for the film. Ruben has not really given much of the plot even though we can formulate our theories. I think it ends the marketing run on a great note as the advance bookings now will get open!

I really think SRK is the greatest actor that India has ever produced because I belong to South India and I don't know a word in hindi during my childhood days but SRK has a magic that even kids can understand his emotions without knowing the language and TBH I saw other actors in the same age but neither I could understand the Hindi nor their acting. But because of SRK I started to understand Hindi now even after becoming a grown up and an avid Bollywood film lover. I still think there is no one who can act like him. In veer-zara as an old man the way he shivered his hands and the voice he changed to a weak old man's voice is flawless. In Om Shanti Om the difference he brought to 2 characters like a humble loving sensitive Om the aspiring actor, and cool stylish easy-breezy and little impatient Om the superstar is so amazing. Even though I didn't like Devdas for one reason as he keeps saying Chandramukhi "mai yahape aata hoon ki thume bardash karsako" many-a-times than the original but his performance was spectacular. I also think he is a versatile actor he did out and out comedy in Chennai Express and villain in Baazigar and Autistic in My Name Is Khan as a serious and strict coach in Chak de India and psychologist in dear zindagi and army officer in Mai hoon na, nasa engineer in swades he is not just great only as Romantic actor I think few PPL try to take away stardom and good name from him as an incredible actor. Even Alexa to Andro humanoid robots call srk is their fav and Obama sir to Oscar winning actors say srk is their fav actor in India he is the only actor in the 50 greatest actors of all time in the world.

First things first, the trailer and SRK both look spectacular. Vijay Sethupathi as the badass arms dealer looks dashing and deadly too. I am sure it is going to be an emotional ride along with being an action packed one. The only thing we don't know is where do Thalapathy Vijay and Sanjay Dutt fit in here as they both are supposed to make cameo appearances in this. But all in all, a great trailer! Looking forward to the mass hysteria that theatres are going to be when it comes out on the 7th of September!! READY AH?!!!

Apart from the romantic scenes and the comedic gags, I did enjoy the trailer. The first 40 seconds were brilliantly edited and perfectly blended with decent but exhilarating bgm.

I was a little skeptical.. b4 the trailer launch as I thought the possibility of them revealing a lot abt the storyline was pretty high but considering the way the film looks I would willingly go to the theater just to watch these amazing frames on the big screen n mayhem it will create in the theater considering there are a lot of powerfull scene in the film...even if i get the spoilers of the film b4 hand.!!! Cz dude the film looks soo good!! N I think there could be possibility of a bigger villian than vijay setupati probably the person who died.. or tht person could be the reason of restarting the saga of revenge.. considering we get the younger as well as older version of vijay setupati!!
Here is the possible story..
SRK is a soldier whose wife is deepika. His team is killed by the weapon sold by kaali. He threatens kaali and kaali makes him an offer which he refuses. He says that in the trailer. Then Kaali tries to kill him. He gets wounded and rescued in a village. Meanwhile deepika is framed by kaali and gets thrown in jail.
Kaali goes to meet her and introduces himself. SRK's son born in jail and becomes inspector. Nayantara is her boss. Deepika possibly dies in labour.
Now dad SRK is back for revenge from kaali. Son SRK gets caught and beaten up.. His father shows up and we hear baap dialogue. Younger kaali is old now. He founds out that dad SRK is alive. He takes the revenge on the village. Now dad SRK is mad and hijacks metro with girls gang. An then the climax.

For me The Jawan trailer actually killed my curiousity and suspence quite a bit what the teaser and the prevue bulid over the month. It would have been great if they don't release the trailer because it reveals most of the story and suspence about the dual role of SRK. This is what I dont like about trailer. I just prefer Teaser over Trailer any day.

While the prevue (teaser) had given just a small glimpse into the world of this massive action entertainer, the trailer showcases the biggest picture. The trailer is full of adrenaline stuff packed with high voltage action and gets highly emotional towards the end.

All are behind the Father and Son Saga, But the real story is kept under wraps, the Women Power Saga, Ruben have done the best surprise , You will see that underlying story of Avengence for Annihilation of a village and Depika's Death will have same impact, similar in Nitya Menon Death in Mersal.
I always believe in Anirudh and he has shown why someone should choose him as the music director of a massy film. I bet no one could have given such background score. Just imagine SRK's slow-mo walk with his bgm in background. GOOSEBUMPS STUFF!!!

@@Noobmaster-er8ci Obviously! But Anirudh does a mixture here of the sleek stylized bgm as well as too massy at the same time. I don't think DSP can give such variations. Yes, Sam C.S. could have done this but still I would be a little sceptical about him handling music because anirudh now has a flow and is the busiest and also produces mind blowing bgm's whereas Sam C.S. i don't think has been this consistent. I heard his Vikram vedha bgm and now RDX that's it.

@@Noobmaster-er8ci If Anirudh songs had been mid then he wouldn't have been the talk of the town right now. If you are talking about Jawan's album then according to me lyrics were the main problem. Listen to the Tamil versions they are very good. That's why Chaleya is my favourite because it has well written lyrics. Doesn't seem forced. If lyrics had been better then the songs would have worked. But anyways, people are gonna enjoy the songs in theatre because of the music. I am telling you anirudh music will play a huge role in elevating scenes. People are gonna like it for sure.
I really wanted the trailer to be better than the prevue, but somewhere it feels like it the music didn't match, too much SRK dependent , Story Giveaway and many other things that have been a disappointment

This is sort of like a callback to both the teasers of mersal and theri. Both went on to make history
I think the movie will have a pretty similar storyline to that of Mersal, just much bigger in scale. Srk is most probably playing the father and 2 sons, with the son, Azad who grew up in jail and doesn't know about the horrors his parents had to face while the elder brother knows about it and is working on his revenge with/without help from father. Where Mersal dealt with the greed of the medical industry, this will deal with the greed of the weapon industry.
The only thing that has me slightly worried is the potential overkill with slow motion. It's understandable that it creates a very very massy effect but its overuse is sometimes detrimental to the effect it has. Hopefully my apprehensions are wrong.
If Vijay is making a cameo then there is one possibility and I hope in a cinematic universe. It has to be 100% his character from theri which really be something
One minor detail that irked me was that SRK has a rank patch in 3:33 that iirc no indian military service branch uses. It is the US Air Force Technical Sergeant rank.

I disagree... I think this is a miss from my vantage point. I fear SRK overload in the movie may actually ruin it... Remember what happened to Mahaan!!! ... lets see! I was pumped when the prevue came out.... not anymore
This story is going to be very much similar to all other Atlee’s movies. Where hero will play dual role - father and son duo(SRK). Father will die because of misdeeds of villain(Vijay sethupathi). The son/young hero will take his revenge for his father’s death by show casing himself as an anti-hero with the help of other supporting cast(priyayamani, Sanya malhotra etc). This revenge will be supported by heroine as well when she comes to know about the death of hero’s father. The villain will be portrayed in such a way his death/punishment not only serves revenge but results in a greater good for society, absolute tear jerkers.
Jawaan is perfect mix of two tamil movies “Mersal” and “Bigil”. To Bollywood this story could be unique but for telugu/tamil audience it’s not.

Mark my word it would be a movie like any other South Indian movie which will show SRK as villan first and then it will go back in flashback to display a sad story about him and them making him the good guy who is fighting against the system.
I would like to see SRK play a character from back in Baazigar, Darr days. We all know the sweet, funny and charming SRK from his love stories but have forgotten the maniac, obsessed and sharp negative characters he has played. The intensity in his eyes is a force to reckon with. Maybe I'll get to see that in Jawan now.
If you do get a chance to interview atlee, ask him why is their always a sorta trifecta in all his movies starting up from raja rani.
In raja rani there is 2 flashbacks and the story of arya and nayanthara
In theri a story of a estranged father then a flashback and then a cop-dad who's back in action
In merasal 1 good cop brother and one bad cop brother with an emotional back story
In Bigil, we see vijay as a coach, as a player and as the dad rayappan.
Jawan seems to be following the same route. Scripts like these work really well on a commercial level. But as a writer/director atlee should change his method of storytelling in the next movie.
Reminds me of the geronimo stilton books I read as a kid, the guy introduces himself in every book the same way but the story is different seems to be the case with atlee too.
Not questioning his skill as a director but just why the same route and "method of story telling" for 10 years

l can see the fanboy in you, but don't get too excited for the film , the director has a very good talent for stealing characters in the name of inspiration, and remainder for a cringe climax. I truly Hope the movie overcomes all of it and becomes as successful as pathaan

To be honest, I am worried about the story. At the end of the day, what people want from a film is good acting and good story. I'm not in doubt about the acting as Jawan has a stellar cast and the film seems to utilize these actors in the most appropriate way possible for the story. However, this movie just seems like it'll have so much going on story wise, that it may seem too ridiculous or have too many plot holes for the audience to enjoy. It's okay to have some stupidity or senselessness in a film, but I don't want it to ruin my ability to enjoy the film and ridicule it! Jawan seems really aspirational in what it's trying to accomplish, and I just hope the film doesn't fall flat on that. Otherwise, the trailer was pretty good. The CGI at certain points was questionable but I can let it off the hook on that. The songs released so far have been very mid, with the only one I slightly liked being Chaleya (but I think people are gonna lose it with the songs in the theaters, esp the Deepika and SRK track, when seen on the big screen!) Very intrigued by the feminism aspect and use of Deepika in the story. And of course, I hope it does wonders at the box office!
I will be honest. I saw a typical South Indian movie trailer that looked like it was dubbed in Hindi. And there is a new Trend going on where all the 90s actors want to sound either husky or have a baritone. I don't know why

This is the storyline.. mix 2 cups of Theri, 1 cup Mersal, 3 cups of Bigil and sprinkle some Hollywood copy cut bits and pieces.. you get Jawan (read Jawan the way SRK pronounces)..

As you said Atlee has 3 movie within 1 movie... I already found some similarities with money heist. It could be a subtle one. I remember couple of years ago, SRK said in a interview that they were working on a project similar to Money Heist.

similarity 2: professor had random people named them towns. SRK has 6 women we don't know the names yet.

If you have seen Aakhri Rasta.. the trailer almost gives away the full plot...
Lots of set piece action sequences... but looks like it will be missing the strong core or the grounded performance that Big B gave in that movie..

I wish they didn't reveal this much of plot in the trailer. Now Jawan seems very much like Mersal with a few alterations. I gotta be honest, I'm a little bit disappointed by the trailer. It's not like I was expecting an Inception level story from Atlee, because I know what he's good at. Atleast he could've kept the dad SRK's look under the wraps. Nonetheless I'm watching it FDFS only for SRK ❤.
I haven't been so desperate for a movie ever in my life but this is beyond my current fascination for massy cinema.
