- Hi there everyone. I'm Terry Miles and this is an exert from one of my 'Pub Piano Quests'. This is where I travel up and down the country, here in The UK searching for Pubs that are still open and just might have an old piano that I can 'hammer ou't a few old tunes on. Lucky not to have a chair routinely laid across the head in Wales. What a miserable nation! And the people largely not very bright. I once asked a man in Wales (I lived there for five years) why he never replied when I greeted him. 'I never heard you.' 'But you heard me now when I asked if it was your tractor on fire.'
Wales is a prime example of innocent political leadership and funds squandering. A fortune was spent on deporting the unwanted to Australia, whilst Wales would have been far cheaper and never exposed the unfortunates to sunburn.
I don’t know what it is about this dude that always puts a smile on my face. Think it’s a combination of his great talent and watching the expression on some of the patrons faces. Add to that his unassuming nature and the fact that he just looks like a weird fusion between Roy Orbison and Elton John. 😃
The fusion comment is as funny as it is correct!
Throw in a slight hint of Elvis also!
And a dash of Ozzie Osbourne

Oh how I enjoyed that.!!! My mum used to play boogie woogie in the 50's and 60's. My Great Grandfather played in numerous pubs for extra cash in the early 20th century. He was teetotal and a bit deaf. I will definitely be watching more of this man. Great stuff.

Terry your playing is amazing - I’m in a “gospel jazz” band, hymns played New Orleans style with horns and pianos. Please do more renditions of Hymns, Amazing Grace, Closer Walk… these are great songs and you don’t realize how many people get a blessing from those songs!
