Thank you for doing this even though they will probably not send you anything else I'm grateful for youtubers like you whom review products and give their absolute honest opinion on the products! This video is what customers need to know before purchasing products for sure. Thanks again Verdie:)
@@LovedbyVerdieNails I know girl I'm the same way I pay for all my stuff a few things I havent but mostly yes. And I would rather an honest review than not. But most wont do that because they want the free products which is sad but hey every now and then we find someone like you who will give it to us straight babe!! And I thank you for that!
I think what you've done in making this video is what you should do. You've spent good money on the other Modelones products and I don't see a reason to just throw it all away. You can Not support this company by not purchasing from them anymore if that's what you choose to do but the fact that you've shared this is all you should have to do. Just sharing this is so valuable. Alerting people to this issue. I worked with MMA for an entire month when I first started and didn't even know. This stuff is dangerous and I appreciate you letting us know
I just tested their 'new' monomer which actually lists EMA on the ingredient list (in fact it's the ONLY listed ingredient which made me suspicious). I too compared it to YN's liquid and the YN swatch is breaking down quickly, but the ModelOnes is still hard as a rock after the same amount of soak time. Very disappointing.
Girl, you shoulda used their monomer with one of their powders too. Acrylic powders can contain MMA as well…. Which I’ve boughten many of the model ones Powder and I think it is MMA tbh…. Which is sad
Thank you, great information for those of us learning how to apply acrylic! I bought their colored acrylic, I have so much trouble with it! Young Nails is my favorite brand so far. I am wanting to try not polish acrylic.
Very informative and we need to question products that don’t list their ingredients,it’s as simple as that!! Model ones should have listed the ingredients PERIOD. I would do some kind of disclaimer regarding their other products you have and keep it movin. We 💜you for doing the right thing so don’t sweat it!!🥰

MMA is the worse!!! I ended up getting a full set just the one time ever and decided to soak it off at home. It took over an hour to soak off, it kept staying super sticky and just would move off my nails. Then what I could get off, would stick to my skin. I couldn't roll it off, flick it off, peel it off - nothing!!! It's horrible stuff.
Hey I purchased a monomer from modelones and on the bottle I got it does say the ingredients and all it says is ema ( ethyl methacrylate) This was recently to now not sure if youve found the ingredients yet or not sure my input will help
They actually sent me their data sheet and it literally says MMA in a couple of places. After this situation I do not trust any of these companies and I do a soak off test for every monomer I try. My experience was MONTHS ago and a lot could have changed within the company, but always do a soak off test to see for yourself.
Thanks sooo much for this !!!! My bottle says just ema?! Wow!!!! Yes for sure I use young nails now but when I started modelones was more affordable which it just goes to show you get what you pay for. Just wanna say thanks again one more time I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly!!!!🥰
I agree, I'm a fan of their other products but the traditional acrylic powder is a no for me. I bought the first collection of color acrylics back in June. I was thinking this isn't all that great. But I will practice with it. I will take your recommendation and try JC Beauty color acrylics. Thx 4 the info.
I thought i got a bad batch. Their polygel kit i got was really nice but i purchased that off amazon. When i got my acrylic i purchased directly from their website. I came in a plain brown box and i also didn't see the ingredients. Im glad i tested it before using on my nails. A lot of ppl under @longhairprettynails vid said it was straight mma thats what made me test it out first. They do have good products but that monomer is sketchy.
I wldnt throw it away...u can use it on ur practice hand. I am very grateful for ur honesty and I know others r as well! It's sad that companies feel as tho they have to lie about products but I guess some ppl care more about money.than about the health of the customer. I'm glad u care Verdie!!💖💜💙
Would you still recommend their gel polishes? I watched your Retro Lady gel polish review and wanted to get it along with one of their polygel starter kits but now I'm not to sure.
@@dynamix.beauty8740 I was watching one in their nail kits for a while and it was priced at 46.99 (with $10 off coupon) for the longest. Then right before prime day started they raised the price to 54.99 so that when it was listed as a prime day deal it would cost more than the original listing price even with it being on sale. They kept changing the prices (fluctuated between 48.99-52.99) and it finally settled at 49.99 after the sale was over with a $8 off coupon which it is at now. When i contacted them on FB about all the price changes they sent me a discount code that didn't even work.
Thanks for making this video. Now I have to check these website. They will use your picture and video in a heartbeat without letting you know. I've seen first hand what MMA does. You can loose fingers, have your nail come off. That stuff is dangerous. They should put their ingredients as well. I hope it's not because that's a big lawsuit. Sure looks like mma but who knows. I would contact them too.
i dont like modelones acrylic at all, i have never tried it but just basing my opinion off of reviews, but i love their gel polishes. i use mia secret and karlash for acrylic. tested both and they are mma free.
So funny I come a crossed your video I was just thanking that modelones uses MMA I bought some of their products and just the smell of their monomer alone made me think this
So it must be MMA. That’s not good. They should definitely put the ingredients on their stuff. I don’t use acrylic much but I do know MMA isn’t the good kind. I will not be using the batch I got. Thanks for letting me know. I should have looked into it. I use the other stuff but I’d get rid of it or use it on your practice hand. Just because they do have a lot of good stuff. Thanks 😊
Loved by Verdie - Nails Yeah I know you are hun. I’d reach out to them and see if they’ll tell you the ingredients. If not, don’t use them anymore. Up to you. Good luck
Modelones does act just like MMA. Which I personally do like better than EMA. I know what everyone says etc. But as far as getting a nail to stay on MMA is hands down better. Which is why it's prohibited for nail use now. I caught you admitting that you actually like the monomer before you did the test... It is actually better. Now the price is totally different a gallon of MMA cost about $10-$20 while EMA is $200 a gallon of your lucky. So the fact that they are selling MMA and Charging EMA prices is what gets me
Wow. Pretty sketchy. It's refund time. Profits over honesty is not the way to go. Sometimes I'm hesitant about Aliexpress nails products. Many of them do not list the ingredients on the containers nor on the page. Unfortunately, not all of the brands have an independent website either to check. However, as we see here, independent sites aren't always truthful either. The SDS sheet should be mandatory.
Wow. This is disappointing. I love their products. I have not tried their acrylic. I was actually coming and watching these videos to see if I should buy them. Now not only do I not want to buy their acrylic, but I don’t know if I want to continue using their other products that I typically love.
