  • Here's the Guitar Only version of RockerEmilio's original request of the Bullet for My Valentine track 'Over It' as part of my Solo Sessions series.
Please let me know what you think of this video in the comments below, I decided to shoot this in 4k at 60fps for fun. If you think its worth it, or don't think its worth it, let me know 😃 (4k may not be available, apparently it takes a while for 4k 60fps videos from smaller channels to be encoded...)
    In the meantime... Enjoy.

Great cover! I did not know you are entertaining request haha. BFMV, its been awhile. I remembered blasting their first album CD (The Poison) in my car after work. How time flies~
As for the video format, it looks great to me.

Mate, I remember getting the Hand of Blood EP when it first came out and man I was blown away. Still would struggle to play those tracks I reckon! 🤟🏻.

@@Moakalatte Same here! At my level I will struggle to comprehend those slick notes, chord progression and playing styles. I need to upgrade myself...its been a while haha.
Oh bdw I was checking this video last nite: ua-cam.com/video/o-F0wkAJloc/v-deo.html Guess Noodles haven't lost his touch tho 🤟🏻

@@Nhask666 We are all in a constant state of upgrade and evolution. The key to it (and something that is easier said than done, at least in my experience) is knowing that you can improve whilst being happy with and positively recognising your current skill level. There's no fun in constantly talking yourself down on your abilities. Might as well enjoy your current playing level while you improve. The end destination is the goal but the journey can be fun, too!
As for that Offspring video, Noodles definitely still has chops! And loads of energy, too. What a legend! Thank you for sharing. 🤟🏻

@@Moakalatte Hey man! Thank you for the positive feedback and the encouragement 😊 Really appreciate it!
The thing about me is that I have a habit of learning halfway and then start composing songs until up to the point in my early days of learning to play guitar, my cousin who was my sensei at that time, gave up on me 😂
Lots my songs stuck in my head and when I tried to materialised it into my guitar playing I am suck at it. Mind you some of the songs structured are complete: intro/verse/chorus/bridge etc with vocal, guitar, bass and drums. Funny rite how our brain can become a recording studio haha. If only I could record it but alas such tech not yet exist. Then depression come and go like a cycle and I only played guitar if I feel like doing it. Else those guitars are left like a decorated household items.
Then out of the blue I found Mike’s youtube channel. When I explored her videos I found it very interesting and entertaining. Then I found yours too, same as Mike, both are very interesting and entertaining too. I said to myself: wow look at them playing! Suddenly I found back my interest to play guitar again buttt need to relearn and improvised my guitar playing techniques and skills. Can’t play clean, choppy chord progression, miss firing notes, etc. But in the end I start to play guitar again. So thank you so much to both of you!!! 😊
So yeah. Sorry for the long lame story hahaha. Like you said its a journey to be enjoy. And I will take it step by step and tried to enjoy along the way 🙂🤘

@@Nhask666 Ah mate, that's such a nice message to read! Thank you.
Ok, so the positive here is that you are inspired to play. Don't lose that, if you can. It's the main driver for most of us to keep playing. The sooner it gets boring or feels like a chore, the sooner we lose our purpose of why we picked up the guitar in the first place.
Why not try to break up your playing into 'fun' and 'technique' sections? So you are still improving whilst also having fun. I'm not sure what that could look like for you, but it's certainly worth a try. Something that I do is set myself a goal of being able to play a guitar part or technique 5 times in a row without mistakes before I can say that "I've practiced". That's worked for me and I know my technique has improved as a result. Often, when I work on something, the sense of achievement is awesome. I feel my mood completely lift and genuinely feel happier for pushing through and doing it. But, as you said, I have definitely felt in a rut myself for the last 6 months. It's actually your comments and seeing how the views haven't dropped since I last uploaded in April 2021 that has inspired me to make another video so thank you for that!
As for recording, it is possible. I do everything on a 2014 MacBook Pro and film with an iPhone X. It's totally doable. There are free plugins (or even ones at a discount if you look in the right places), there's free or cheaper recording software and video editing software, too. Whilst it's not perfect, I recorded and mixed my previous band's singles (link below) and edited the videos in my home office using techniques I picked up watching tutorials on UA-cam. Like many things, taking a step at a time is still making progress, and once you've taken that first step, the second, third, fourth, and so on, get easier.
