1:00 the top edge where you start, are you leaving a bleed to tuck it in, or are you just aligning it to edge far as possible without tucking the top edge? I can’t really tell in the video but looks like you’re just aligning it to the end of top edge and NOT tucking it?
None of the kits I've installed wrap into the gap between the top of the fender and the A pillar. That should be more than fine during majority of installs. I do wrap over that top edge when installing Matte PPF. 👍🏻
@@EncorePPFtint I can’t thank you enough for your help!! just got my precut kit in today but it’s raining tomorrow and I have to install outside 😭 wish me luck this weekend!! I’ll try to record my process 🤞🏼🙌🏼🙏
Here is a link to the squeegee I use now on every install. Make sure you are only buying the black squeegee. The other colors are too soft. amzn.to/3uXiVDI The squeegee in the video is made by Fusion tools. It's more expensive and don't like it as much as the pointed tip on the squeegee I use now.
When would hot water only be advisable as a tack solution instead of the rubbing alcohol mix? Are they interchangeable? Maybe rubbing alcohol when you really need to tack down for a stretch but hot water the rest of the time for a novice like me?
Yes, you can use water in place of rubbing alcohol. Hot water makes the PPF stick faster than the alcohol normally. Hot water is also good for softening the film so it will stretch better.
I appreciate the feedback back. I really need to set up a network of people for getting cars upon requests. A local following. Let me check out our local dealership. 👍🏻
I've taken a few videos of the camera removal process. That video is on my list to edit and post. It's not very difficult to remove them. I wouldn't recommend an owner pulling cameras for one install but it's great for a shop to have the option. 👍🏻 cutting around them isn't a terrible thing. Still gets the job done. 😁 I'll move the camera removal video up on my list.

Can you please recommend the brand and material type of the squeegee you are using?
